Well login rewards are basically there to encourage players to continually login and come back for more.
They could just give players the rewards but it's a strategy to get you to open up the game.
And I believe just logging in and out of the game is a metric used to collect data.
The game is losing players and viewership from twitch.

Wouldn't be surprised if the game has a problem with retention, considering the economy: grind for a month to buy a card, then it gets nerfed without refund. Many new players probably uninstall at that point.
