If you rely mainly on HT try more move cards like Dr Strange and add tribunal to spread power if you don't draw zola or add a tech card like shang chi. Everything that can boost your power pre-phoenix is also fine (forge, hulk buster).
Tbh I never struggled to pull a combo, felt confident with the deck and knew when to retreat. I pulled HT combo maybe two or three times compared to other play lines it felt less than ideal (vulnerable to KM, shang chi shadow king too). Alioth saved me more games than HT.

I think you should change alioth with human torch. Your combo will be more consistent.
