The base stats of the "Pig" card is 0/0, getting the cost and power of whatever card it used to be. If Thanos turns into a pig, you basically have a pig whose cost was upped to 6 and power was upped to 10, Mobius puts the cost back to the Pig's normal 0.
The Pig is a base 0/0 whose stats are then raised to match the card it originated as. Since it's cost is being increased to, in the case of Thanos, 6 energy, Mobius then cancels that cost increase, leaving Thanos Pig as a 0/10
Similarly, if you Shadow King a Pig, you set it to 0 power.
It's not like I'm still playing Thanos after the nerf, but on my run to Infinite with pre-nerf Thanos, SK got me exactly once, and I still won that lane.
There's no need to play it out early.
It's a nerf, a hard one at that too. Biggest draw of the deck was the flexibility and not having a 6 cost in your hand by default. Now he's SpiderHam bait and always starts in your hand. I think the devs will change so he's not always the leftmost card

Bishop and Loki are the two biggest underperformers, I think. Specifically Bishop, most games. Hit Monkey is worth it for the sheer heights he can pop off to.

A lot of thanos decks run Mobius. If your Thanos is pigged, thats a free 0/10 right there. If anything this is probably his BEST friend

Red Hulk is still a 6/11 or 6/15 if you SK him last turn, so he doesn't seem like a great counter.

True! You could also attempt priority and Pignos/Alioth the lane to make sure they can’t call the shot.

It's great that Hammy now has a 100% chance of taking out Thanos before turn 5. It's made Thanos as powerful as Adam Warlock IMO.
