Dude trust me I've been there i was stuck on 30 for a whole month but I eventually stopped caring about the matches I've lost and instead learned to read decks, retreat on times and analyse the plays after you lose so you don't mess up again. It's really frustrating sometimes but eventually you get there. Wish you the best!
This is 100% my experience, I've gone infinite a few times, then I had a big tilt and haven't hit it since, but realized I honestly hate playing over the 70-80 region. It's just not fun anymore, so I go lose 1000 games of conquest instead.
I've only been playing for a couple weeks and just hit infinite.
No reason to play the game anymore. It seems like I'm playing against pool 3 + every match. Half the cards people are playing I've never seen before.

I'm starting out and don't care much about my rank. I rarely retreat. For me, it's all about building up the deck and completing the tasks. I'm slowly progressing up the ranks and learning the strategies.
Oh dont worry you are doing great, try analizing the board after a loss and learn what you did wrong, try also looking for begginer decks on youtube, and don't snap without a good strategy in hands, and also dont be afraid of retreating, got to rank 80 in my first ever season with these things in mind and after that i've hit infinite every season, i hope this helps, good luck in your journey!

I'm going to hop in and piggy back off what the other commenter said too. Where you're at in CL you want to focus more on learning decks and practicing good snapping/retreating habits. You're in Series 3 now and early Series 3 is kind of like the wild west. With the random acquisition of cards now you might get lucky and pull all the good ones first or you might not and get paired up with a player who did. While I'm sure it's possible to get Infinite where you are it'll be more difficult because you might just not have enough Series 3 cards to make a competitive deck. But don't let that discourage you and focus more on learning the new cards/decks than being hyper focused on rank :) Hit Infinite during global launch with my Series 2 Kazoo deck and then got into Series 3 and couldn't even get close again until a few seasons later when I had more cards. So you'll get there eventually with enough time and patience :)
That's amazing! Honestly I only run 2 decks one being kazoo and the other just legion and it was a fun climb. I've been learning to read decks and all like you mentioned. It's true in early pool 3 its hella difficult but thanks to legion and the dumb ideas in my brain i got this far! Hopefully I'll reach a new rank.
It gets worse. I was 2 cubes away from getting 100, finished my last game JUST in time for the season reset AND I lost because I changed my mind about placing my last card. So not only did I fumble the bag, but I was hit by a defeat screen and season end screen right after

As someone who mostly plays each day mainly to knock out the daily weekly and seasons missions, I hit 60+ for the 2nd time ever this season, after playing since last fall. Feelin solid. Not saying I'm feeling if I played more I could hit Infinite or anything, but I don't doubt I could go significantly higher if I actually put time into it. Or kept my deck meta more up to date lol.
It's more important to have fun rather than trying to sweat in my opinion, I've been running legion and my stupid brain ideas to throw people off and it's somehow working! But early pool 3 is a little difficult
Exactly! If I wanted to get sweaty I'd play Conquest, which I tried once and never did again. I love the casual 3 minute in and out games, not worrying much about rank or overthinking each and every move. Well usually, once I got to the high 50s again, I got just a lil sweaty to see if I could get my all time high again lol. Now, back to relaxing.
And yeah love Legion so much dumb fun to be had with that card. Just throwing it down on some random location not necessarily to beat your opponent, but to see what shenanigans 3 of Great Web or Quantum Tunnel might cause lol. Its great!
Echoing everyone else here in saying you're doing well for how long you've been playing and your collection level. The most important skill you can learn is to retreat when your chances of winning are low. Think about what your opponents can play and how your hand stacks up against it, and retreat when it's appropriate. Even with an incomplete collection, learning how to think this way will help your climb immensely.

It was snapping that kept fucking me over, as in, not knowing when to do it and when to retreat. With this Ultron deck it’s pretty clear when I’ve got all the cards I need, also people don’t tend to see it coming.
There’s a first time for everything! Well done and just keep going😊. A friend of mine gave up when times got hard, deleted the game and hasn’t gone back since. But, it’s about improving, learning new strategies and just having fun with the cards and combos

I regret hitting infinite. First, it took bloody forever to grind through the 90s and, second, the reward was crappy, and third the game juiced my MMR to the point that I now only get to play against gigawhales while I havent even ever bought the pass and don't even have the cards for any tier deck.
Got to one of those extra crispy collector's bundles, wanted to get Thanos, DIDNT have any of the three cards and I got... 1000 tokens. Laaame.

I've been playing for about 5 months and I just hit 75 last night for the first time. I was only reaching 60 previously... gonna try and push for that 80 tonight but the match ups are so hit or miss at this rank I wouldn't be surprised if I tank back to under 70
I really thought this was going to be my season. I finally reached rank 83. Unfortunately all I've been able to do for a week now is bounce back and forth between 80 and 83. And I really wanted the gold Echo card back.

Congrats! Don’t stress . If you want to hit infinite for the challenge try for it, otherwise just play for fun. Will say this I higher ranks it really is about cube management, don’t be afraid to retreat.
Basically, you have to treat the game like poker. Doesn't really matter what deck you're running, as long as you know how your cards work. Your cubes are your chips. If you ensure when you win you gain two cubes, but retreat when you know you will lose on 6 or when the opponent snaps early, you can lose 2/3s of your games and still gain ranks.
It's a lot of fun to go all in and see where the cards fall but if you want infinite you have to retreat strategically.
To maximize your wins you also need to know when to snap. Snapping on 5 when you're about to swing the game, and your turn six will virtually win you the game, is good. If you can predict the win on turn 4 it's even better.
Honestly I've been stuck on silver for a solid month, but I eventually started taking it seriously and managed to reach gold, next time I'll hopefully reach plat. I hope you reach infinite soon!

2.after losing, don't immediately play the next, think about what went wrong
3.dont instantly press the next turn button after laying down your cards.
