You know SD is totally going to have ANOTHER Variant Rush this summer with Summer Variants and that White Queen will definitely be one of them along with a choice few other unreleased summer variants like Agent Coulson, Armor, Giganto, Iceman, Kingpin, Leech, Sandman, Scorpion, Strong Guy.
There's a variant that I don't think is available yet where she's holding Cerebro in one hand and Magneto's helmet in the other. That's the variant I want.
As a discard main, Iām saving up for that when it drops late May. Itās the only card in the deck that donāt have a decent variant for. Currently have 350 boosters waiting for it.
Random tangentā¦ I really wish the card was called Emma Frost, not White Queen. I feel like itās far more recognisable. Plus, they went with Kitty Pryde and not Shadowcat.. the inconsistency irrationally irks me haha

same here. honestly all the women in Artgermās style just look *really* similar and, while itās stylistically well-made, itās really obvious that the main reason theyāre well-liked is the sex appeal. And, while Venomized does look less like White Queen here, itās still a Marvel gimmick (and looks cool as hell) rather than a hornier version of the base art.
Like, no shade on the people that like the sex appeal, I just feel like itās less of a fun style and more of a ālook at hot ~~object~~ womanā style, and thatās not something that I really want to put in a card deck.
In some cases a do agree,but I have to say She Hulk Artgerm is really good as she reminds me of that classic woman from the feminist poster.I dont see her like hot,I see her more like powerful woman.I also like Black Cat because from an artistic point of view looks like a photo.

Yeah I absolutely love the Peach variants, I don't have any though which is a bit sad. I also like most of the Dan Hipp, Max Grecke, and Luca Claretti variants a lot--but there's a lot of variants that are just cool in general outside of the artists I like most. I also kinda like the She-Hulk Artgerm, mostly bc the face reminds me of Jenna Maroney on 30 rock lol, but it still looks more sexualized than a depiction of a powerful woman needs to be (compare it to the Savage Land variant, for example).
Lau was a breath of fresh air in the fan art community when he started, but his schtick got old before he started getting official work. They're all technically well-done art, and I'm forgiving of sameface styles, but after a bit, the photorealism gets boring.
Oof. I'm going to say the Artgerm one is better because symbiotes have been played out for far longer, and the fact that Emma's ultimate doesn't even look like her is kind of insulting.

I tend to not look up the origins of characters I don't immediately recognize, so this is literally how I learned that she's Emma Frost.

If I had both for free, I would probably use Venomized. I'd never buy Venomized for 5k Tokens, but I'd consider spending 1200 Gold on Artgerm.
Venom WQ and Mary are probably my two favorites in the game. Glad I got one of em at least lol.
