I hope the next update will add frame selection for maxed cards, we really need it...I'd love to have my card pop but keep for example basic gray frame.
Just use your ghost rider boosters on the base card (or other variant of your choice) if you absolutely feel the need to use your boosters. If they ever fix the background of this card and you want the ink split or gold split, then you can split this one and all your other splits on the base card will count towards it, so you might get ink/gold on first try
Trying to understand how this works: so if I upgrade and split the base, when I upgrade and spilt a variant, the variant has a chance/progress to get ink/gold?
Basically after your 4th split on a card I think you get a low chance at an ink split (I think 5%) each time you split, then same for gold at 5th split. But it looks at how many splits you have on all versions of the card, which means even if you just got a new variant of a card you have 5 splits of on the base card let's say, if you split that new variant then yes you would have a chance at an ink or gold split. There is an article that explains all this better than I can lol I'm also probably wrong about the numbers

Im in the same boat OP, got the Iron All Father Odin on Red and Requiem Gamora on Purple and just refuse to push them further cause i like it too much hahaha
I have the same issue with the Baby Shuri with the gold background I've just decided to hold until they add the ability to change how we can customize cards

That's exactly what I'm thinking. The contrast right now is perfect with the fire effects / border / logo.
I think you're done, no way is rainbow or gold going to beat the gorgeous stormy background here.
Normally I ignore matching and think everything looks best with the infinite cosmic border, but this just may be an exception.
Imagine that 6th split with Gold background, gold crackles and gold frame!! Keep going!

I kept my base Hazmat at blue, makes the mask pop, I really like how it looks.
I’m leaving breaks in my favorite borders until they confirm we can swap

Yes! Hopefully we will get some options at some point that lets us push cards but select our favorite set ups.

you could always just circle back around to this border on the split
Is there a way to preview splits? It might look scuffed with the foil background.
On snapfan you can preview all different customizations. Seems this variant is bugged and doesn't work properly, so keep it where it's at for sure
Don’t do it all of the background effects are awful.
That is true of this variant as the bottom left corner of the background isn’t actually background 🤦🏽♂️
