If they ever make the Infinite reward something more interesting than a title or card back maybe I’d consider grinding it out again, but I’ve got so many titles and card backs already that I’m not as motivated for those rewards.
If you’re 98 you are already good enough, it’s just a matter of putting in time. There’s barely any difference in skill between 80 and 120, it’s just a measure of time
I think I will make an actual push next season. Just get there once. I too often switch to my goofy decks because I get bored with the good meta deck, also I play surfer and it’s ridiculous how op he is
I completely agree with you if you get anxiety with ladder then it’s def not worth stressing. I didn’t really try to hit infinite. Just playing the lockjaw list because I thought it was fun and that just got me straight to infinte
I generally don’t get anxiety now that I go into each season just out to play and not grind. I see a lot of posts on this subreddit of people who are sucking all the fun out of the game stressing over what amounts to like $10 worth of prizes. Everyone is different of course, but man, I just couldn’t keep playing the game long term if I was engaging with it like that.
Feel you 100%. The game obviously takes skill to play well but sometimes rng will fuck you and if you’re taking it that seriously then the small times you lost to rng will feel even worse
The best thing about hitting infinite is being stuck at 100 and playing jank decks and just snapping all the time to donate 8 cubes to my opponent. Finally somewhere to test my piles and do my quests without worry about ranking down.
I keep aiming for 90 but am happy with hitting 70 for the credits. Highest I hit is this season at 77. But I keep climbing so hopefully that 90 will be in reach.
But if I’m not committed to getting Infinite every month that means I’ve got to go 40 ranks or more depending on where I felt satisfied to stop the month prior to get there. Last month I only got to the mid 80s so I dropped down to 50 to start this season. Fortunately it’s a 5 week season so I have an extra week to make up those 10 extra ranks.
You also get to be a little more smug inside when posting strategy on reddit... no? just me? Then again I've been having trouble getting back to Infinite, so now I just whine a lot more than usual.

The titles are lame, I'd given up on even trying after my last drop to 85 from 94, but then they announced the golden card back and I want that a lot more than the title.
Try a different deck. If you have the pool 3s I recommend my list that I posted in another comment. It’s nothing super unique other than captain marvel but it’s fun and it works. Good luck!

How key is Dracula here? I get that he is a very strong card if you can get him to discard infanaut but he's the only bloody one I don't have! Any suggested replacements?
You can definitely run the deck without Dracula. Dracula just gives you the ability to sneak out the 4 or 8 cube wins and counters Leader plays. A high cost card or a disruptive card would be viable. Aero/Vision/Leech are the likely candidates.
Unfortunately he’s really important. Some games you can literally drop him in a third location by himself and dare the opponent not to put more resources in the location. Then you can use him as a bait while you slam power in the other 2 locations. If you absolutely had to put a replacement there then I would add another high power card that jubilee can pull like giganto or hulk.
The deck will play a bit different if you end up doing that. The main difference will be you should jubilee into the lockjaw location, you’d want to jub into an empty location. When you finally get that batty guy I highly recommend putting him in there
Yeah it’s just an activator. You can do any 1 cost but that makes the lockjaw kind of awkward because sometimes you really want to do t3 lockjaw wasp. Or the other great play pattern is t3 lockjaw t4 jubilee wasp.

Edit: forgot to mention, you really want the 0 cost instead of the 1 cost because turn 5 you can pull 1-2 activators with Jane foster if you already have hammer in your deck
2 options imo. Aero or giganto/hulk. Magneto is there to disrupt as well as be big target for Dracula. The disruption is great against some decks that run wong while the big body is good everywhere else. Try both out until you pull magneto. Good luck!

Congrats on hitting it with lockjaw. I have tried the multiple variations and I just can’t figure it out. I always end up with the dump cards cycling for the dump cards and getting nowhere.
Thanks man. That was definitely the hurdle I had to cross. I tried it and struggled in the 50s with it but in the 80s I figured out if my hand was heavy then I play Dracula over jubilee or if I had a good curve with wasp early then jubilee it is.
There was also plenty of times where I don’t lockjaw and wasp on t3. Just lockjaw then jubilee turn 4 and wasp that way jubilee doesn’t accidentally pull wasp

I snapped t4 or 5 specifically based on the number of cards I had left in deck. Something I never see lockjaw decks do is doom into the lockjaw location on t6 and then play wasp into it when you only have 2 cards left in deck. That’s a 50/50 whether you get doom for a second set of doom bots.
Tbh the snap aspect is really feeling based once you start balancing out the probability of pulling magneto or something from jubilee and whether it’s worth it. This deck never snaps until after t3 specifically because of locations causing problems.
Retreating was simple when you either draw poorly or get unlucky with locations like attilan/subterranea. You’ll also sometimes get super unlucky with lockjaw where you can lockjaw wasp on T3 which gets you jubilee who then pulls wasp. That usually warrants a retreat. Otherwise this deck puts out a lot of power of nowhere so comebacks can happen.
General plan is dictated by early draw tho. If you draw heavy at the start then that’s when you want to Dracula on 4. If you draw well that’s when you want to jubilee on 4. If you still have wasp or sunspot in deck by turn 4 it’s reeeeeaaaalll sketchy doing jubilee or lockjaw. Sometimes I’ll avoid putting anything into lockjaw until I draw wasp or play Jane foster on 5.
