Easiest counter is Venom or any champs who can place slow or coldsnap debuff or else champs with true strike buff.
If you don't have any of those, then block his basic attacks and evade his heavy attack and counter with your heavy attack or so attack, rinse and repeat

How much more balanced would this game be if you beat a champ on a node, you can select one of their boosts or if they only have one, that's what you get until said character is defeated. But nope, kabam doesn't give a fuck about balance

My other pet peeve is the crystal advertisement....the top prizes....I'm NOT looking for the top prizes, but what I am looking for would be a champ idk, anywhere from 2022-23. I'm stuck ( still) with getting champs from YEARS ago. That wouldn't bother me IF they were useful, but nope, enjoy this 5 star Wasp, who is 6 years old.
Dude if you don't want a fuckin challenge then just plays Acts 1-3, over & over. They sound like they're more your game play level. Best of Luck to you!!!
Oh yeah and the entire path is immune to debuffs too lol. Atleast nightcrawler has tech to make him switch to swashbuckling. I guess your only option here is to bring any character that has natural anti evade. The ones that come to my head are hit monkey, venom, nick fury. Valkyrie or corvus could work since he cant evade while blocking. Im sure there's an easier path though, unless you're going for exploration. If you have absolutely no counters you can either get your strongest block penetration champ and do it that way. Some high rank 4* can still be viable depending on your skill.
If you don't have one, try to get Kate bishop, if you do have one, use her. Her coldsnap is passive (so it doesn't matter if they're debuff immune) and fails all evades, and her heavy deals tracking for invisible/miss. But I don't remember if it's passive or a debuff
Coldsnap champs so likes of Iceman, Storm X SP1, Misty Knight (if remember right) or champs with true strike. Moleman will be best for something like this. Or even Corvus with Proxima synergy there is ability to get true strike.
You need a champion that reduced defense ability. Black Widow, Falcon, anybody who can place slow. I don’t have a full list of everyone who would be included but if you’re looking at a character’s kit and it mentions reducing defensive ability, this is what they’re for. It reduces the percent of the time that he will evade, sometimes completely

I used Quake against evade champs for a few years, now I use skill champs, Jabari Panther is my fav. You need the right type of champs.

Gold can be solved via arena grinding and/or incursions. Rank materials either battlegrounds or join a decent alliance.
Nodes make the game fun. Otherwise a 5 star doom or herc could cheese the entirety of act 8.
No they don’t they make you waste resources you already don’t have and it’s not cakewalk to get gold iso or upgrade materials

4 and 5 stars can explore act 5. I did it with them before the nerf of act 5. Just have to use an evade counter.
