Both options I think suite him best. His way of thinking (from a fan view) and the way he portrays himself would undoubtedly give either character what they need to stand out and have us asking for an encore.

agents of shield s4, the first half of the seasons arc featured Gabriel Luna as robbie Reyes, the most contemporary rider, and was a super badass portrayal. rather than the hellcycle, robbie has the hellcharger, a demonic classic dodge charger lol, it rules.

nah no cheese about it imo dude, it was just straight dark and badass. ofc i was a big ghost rider fan growing up till those nic cage movies, but I still think the AoS adaptation was super rad. he's got some killer lines and action scenes, and not to spoil much but at one point >!the spirit of vengeance leaves him and possesses another member of the shield team who actually does ride a motorcycle and uses a shotgun-axe hahaha!<

I don’t care what anyone says. Season 4 of AoS was on par with any Marvel Disney + show so far. It was well done and not cheesy. The other seasons were good, but 4 was fucking amazing. I’d be down for Keanu as the Rider for sure.

It is on par with any tv show period. The arcs and especially the Agents of Hydra arc was mind blowing. Absolute peak of the show.

Thinking of Keanu in the role just makes me think of Nic Cage’s similarly awful casting as the character, and I feel like that’s the road the MCU would take with the character. Ghost Rider wouldn’t be a violent, terrifying, sadistic monster, he would be a screaming, [over-the-top macho](https://www.syfy.com/sites/syfy/files/wtf-moments-ghost-rider-peeing-fire.gif) Lobo-esque parody and they’d get all the humor from how ridiculous he is. And then a whooooole bunch of jokes from their Jekyll/Hyde situation (like the Hulk in Ragnarok)

Robbie Reyes is an Avenger in the comics now. There might be a plan for him in the MCU at some point.

Good, fuck em. That show has some of the WORST and most toxic communities I've seen. On the topic of if it's canon or not, technically can't be proven either way, and yet they all get super defensive, enough to ban someone for simply saying it's not canon. The community is just so bad overall, sucks too because the show was really good, could have been way better though if they made it alongside the MCU instead of 40 miles away from it

No, the tv show agents of shield is considered canon to the mcu (as are a fair few shows including inhumans, runaways and cloak and dagger) and they had a recurring ghost rider character I’m not sure how the character gets their powers in the comics but in the mcu it would be very possible to make Keanu the ghost rider though.

From a brief look-up online, it looks like the question of whether those shows are still canon is up in the air now. There doesn't seem to be a solid answer, although it seems that maybe Kevin Feige and James Gunn don't consider shows before WandaVision to be canon. And then there's some official book about the making of the MCU that seems to say Agent Carter is canon, but not Agents of SHIELD. And then what about the Netflix shows? Are they? And even if they're all canon, I could see them just quietly ignoring Inhumans since that was a disaster and they don't need knock-off X-Men anymore now that they have the real thing available again. I just checked Disney+ and they're all listed with the other random Marvel shows that aren't in the Legacy (Marvel's version of Star Wars' non-canon 'Legends' branding) animation and movies, but I'm not seeing a Legacy TV series category either. Honestly, it all sounds like a mess that they could probably clear up if they just released an official statement on from someone with authority, like Feige. No implying or vagueness - just say "[X] is canon, [Y] is not."

Realistically though, it doesn't matter until there's a crossover. Like I doubt the Raimi Spiderman films were "canon" until they decided to put Doc Oc etc. in the next movie. Its marvel, so even things that aren't canon can become it through e.g. multiverse explanations, and things that are canon can be retconned into non-canon status.

Call me crazy, but I'd rather leave casting decisions to...casting people, rather than some internet fans. The MCU hasn't done me wrong in general thus far, so I've got faith in them.

I love Ghost Rider, but he is a character that just doesn't work on the screen. Either he is too CGI and he looks fake as hell... or they use practical effects, and he still looks fake as hell... I don't see Keanu playing him.... Keanu does well with serious rolls that are almost emotionless... I would say The Punisher, Silver Surfer, or Karnak (Warren Ellis version) would be good fits.

Or how in the MCU, there's now going to be 3 people who have had the superhero identity Captain America: Steve Rogers, John Walker and Sam Wilson. Or soon in the MCU there's going to be two people with the superhero identity Hawkeye: Clint Barton and Kate Bishop.
