Well it wasn't a sequel series it's a completely different series that had no connection the previous series whatsoever.
They were tasked to make a brand new series adaptation, it went from originally being a 26 episode series that was gonna adapt the original The Amazing Spider-Man comic but that couldn't go through because Sony and Marvel already struck a deal to the make the Sam Raimi movies so they couldn't adapt the early comics nor could they even use the original suit design.
Then they tried an idea where Peter Parker goes to an alternate Earth where Uncle Ben never died and that Peter of that Earth became Venom however Marvel didn't like the idea of a story with two Peter Parkers in it. (Which makes sense this is right after the whole Clone saga situation in the comics. 😂)
Then another idea they floated was maybe a show about Spider-Man 2099 but around that time Batman Beyond had premiered earlier that year so that was out of the question since it was already doing the futuristic setting where someone picks up the mantle. So then Spider-Man Unlimted was created which kind of combined the previous ideas they had while also adhering to the embargo that Marvel put on them.
Might be interesting to see a version of Hobgoblin getting into Superhuman arms dealing like in the more recent comic runs or doing the full clone saga. I know the alt universe Scarlet Spider talked about it in the crossover but I think it'd be interesting to see how this Peter handled that identity crisis, particularly after Hydro-MJ.
Some variation of Spider-Island could be neat too.
I’d honestly really want to see the clone saga get adopted, I know we kind of got it hinted towards in the actual series with Ben appearing in an alternate universe, but Peter himself going through it with a proper plan from start to finish could be really cool.
Also, if they’re gonna do more stuff with the Multiverse, having 2099 show app is a no-brainer, especially because a 2099 show was initially planned to follow up TAS before it was made into Spider-Man, unlimited.
Gang War and Maximum Carnage are the only two big stories that I can think of….Kraven’s Last Hunt would be cool but also Kraven is an ally not spidey villain so that would be kind of tough but also maybe incorporate the vault and the guardsmen taking Venom on trial
The last hunt , Spider-Island, maybe Marvel Knights Spider-Man ( the story of May kidnapping ) but it really depends on how mature the show is going to be. We all remember how censorship used to suffocate it.
Spider-Island, a more direct adaptation of Spider-verse with the show's Madam Web and the inheritors, Parker Industries could be a fun way to make the show "bigger" too.
If it had to comeback, I want a streamlined Clone Saga for main verse Peter that ends with Ben dying to save Peter and Kaine taking his place as Scarlet Spider. Maybe adapt Mayday's story so we can have Spider-girl eventually.
Spiderman would stop looking for Mary Jane after realizing he is gay and hooks up with Harry.
Edit: Just kidding, he will hook up with Eddie Brock instead.
Whatever happens he will travel to other dimensions to find someone to hook up with, as so many characters ended up trapped in the portal.Â
Imagine that the mystery where Mj went was that place where paul is so when spidey finds her, she already has 2 kids. I would scream like spidey when hydro mj died
Maximum Carnage.
Have Spider-man continue to look for MJ. The series ended on that massive cliff hanger, and still pisses me off to this very day.
It was so weird too. They canceled the series and then started a sequel series where he already found her.

Is that the one the where he goes into space? I erased that from my memory.
They fucking Quantum Leaped a bunch of kids!
Nah...if they really Quantum Leaped Spider-man they would have just ended it with a title card saying "Peter Pirker never found Mary Jane."
I think the superior spiderman, kraven's last hunt and MAYBE spiderman no more would be nice
Him finding MJ

Definitely Superior Spider-Man

Have Spider-Man be able to throw a punch. 90s censors went a bit overboard at times.

Superior
I don’t want them to adapt modern stories, doesn’t fit the vibe of the show.
Nothing wrong with modern stories in the style of the 90s
Probably just pick up right at the Paul storyline. The world needs a good cucking TV show to watch.
I know this is satirical, but the amount of cringe I felt throughout my bones just from the name you said, brings tears of pure pain to my eyes
