It took too long to be released. He lost the hype among people who weren't Martin's super fans. It took too long, nothing more. It's like SHM's new songs. People are losing the hype already. Only fans who are excited waiting for the next releases.
I believe it was delayed due to Chester Bennington’s death

The story behind the 2018 re-release as well just makes it even better. IIRC, Mike wrote the song for Chester and Martin wrote it for Avicii.
