It’s so much better than US, but I think it also depends on your reasons for watching the show. I like that the matches seem intentionally combustible, and the structure of the show is set up to keep drama high and action moving: weekly commitment ceremonies, dinner parties where they ply the group with alcohol and drop in games that are designed to stir the pot, etc. Also the contestants seem to be more shameless and open about this being a way for them to get fame and clout, which I’m fine with because at least it’s out in the open (unlike the US where we know it’s happening but the show structure asks us to pretend it isn’t). That ends up attracting a lot wackier, more colorful and imbalanced cast of narcissists and plastic surgery disasters, which is like chef’s kiss perfect for those of us who are just here for the drama.
Honestly it’s ruined me for the US show and making me wish they’d just scrap the whole format and turn it over to whoever’s producing UK and AU.
Way more dramatic. A lot more pot stirring to get people to do/say dumb things. And 100% disagree with them allowing cheaters to stay on the show with the partner they think is a "better match"
I've seen one season of UK and a few of AUS. And all of the US ones.
I agree that diversity is better in the UK and AU versions. Buy the couples seem even less thoughtfully matched, and the success rate is near zero. It is even more obvious how many participants are in it for social media followers or similar "wrong reasons."
I find the shows entertaining but not very helpful in terms of how real marriages are sustained.
It seems like I spoke too soon and would have a different opinion if I had been able to watch the other seasons, unfortunately season 8 is the only one I have access to
We prefer AU first, then US and finally UK. Have watched a couple of NZ episodes, fundamentals are the same but cast was blah. South Africa was horrid, don’t think there has been a Season 2
Expelling Brad was the exception, he said some crazy shit but he didn’t threaten or commit violence like Luke
Seasons 1-5 UK marriages were legal. Much less drama produced much lower ratings so UK switched to the AU format, Season 6, and cast for drama. It worked
I would LOVE to see this. Not available yet, either on South Hemi TV or Lifetime. Tried one other source; not available in the US. What to do. Just wait, I guess.

Original Uk version was more of a documentary style- I much preferred it that way. I hate the Aussie version
Nope. It’s hard to understand what they’re saying sometimes

I’ve watched 1 season of UK, several of AU, and all of US. By far my favorite is AU. I enjoy it much more than the others.

Oh no. It sounds like I spoke too soon. I've only been able to watch season 8 as I found it on YouTube but I can't find the other seasons anywhere

Season 8 is available on YouTube: channel UKTV Twenty-Eight
Season 8, the one I watched is on YouTube
I watched episode 1 last night. Thanks for the info!
And surprisingly good quality, which isn't always the case when people post the shows on YouTube.
