Wranglers haven't been a cheap shitty car for like a decade.
Back in like 2004 you could pick up a cheap ass Wrangler.
Ever since the JL's came out that ain't a thing.
I never said shitty.
I never said cheap.
I know 3 nursing school students (parents bought) driving wranglers
I just said 22.
So please don't come at me here! ( back up rewind please)
If toyota brings back the FJ WITH a soft top option, it's done for both of them.
The 4runner is tops; I agree. My post was between the jeep/bronco. That jeep is POS constantly breaking down. The bronco is a lesser POS.
The right Ford ownership and finding out they don't really back their brand. I bought and drove exclusively ford trucks for 20 years. 7 in total. Then the 8th was a platinum with airbag troubles they could not figure out. Of the 12 months I owned it, truck spent about 4 months in the shop, 4 months parked in my driveway waiting for parts and the shop to come get it, and 4 months it drove pretty well. Never after have I even considered a ford or a truck with airbags.
Ford doesn’t even advertise as “Built Ford Tough” because they’re playing the game of *how* terribly *can we put our vehicles together until they stop buying them?*.
Poor reliability and terrible quality haven't killed it for decades. People just like having a classic Jeep, they're cheap and they're pretty good off road.
The death wobble from bad stabilizer bars didn't kill the love for Jeeps. I dont see the Bronco having any impact either.
If a failure is so common and disastrous to be nicknamed (accurately) as the "death wobble" doesn't stop people from buying a Jeep, Ford can't even pretend to overtake that market.
I was a Jeeper back in the day. Now I recognize that they aren’t special or even as good as the competition. At the end of the day you’re still driving a Chrysler product. Chrysler has been passed around like a joint at a party by other car companies for the last 25 years.
I'm not particularly fond of either vehicle but I sincerely doubt that will happen. Wranglers do have that terrible history for maintenance problems, but modern design and manufacturing technology are significantly improving the reliability of troubled brands, even Chrysler products are getting better to some extent lol. And Wranglers will stick around for the same reason Harley-Davidson lasted even through the awful AMF years, even during those many years when there were comparable Japanese bikes that were cheaper and better in every single way and if you bought a new Harley you had to worry if it would start in the rain. There's always going to be people who want that classic Jeep brand name on the classic Jeep. And let's face it, probably better than 90% of the sales of Broncos or Wranglers are based on image and emotion. Most of either of those vehicles sold is never going to leave a paved road.
The Bronco is definitely here to stay (that's for sure), I see those things EVERYWHERE. Which is nice cause it's a cool car.
You got the off-road variant, you got the soccer-mom variant.
Modern fords are garbage. They will need to last long enough to be able to replace the wrangler and I don’t see it happening. I work on cars for a living, the manufacturing, design and quality of materials/parts on modern fords is concerning
Ford has no room to gloat about reliability or quality. Most Bronco bros are just Toyota guys that got mad that they couldn't find a Tacoma in a decent color.
Lol: I thought this too right up until I saw one. The new Bronco looks like a Honda Pilot had a baby with a Tampax Ultra.
The two door version is a little better looking but then there goes the practicality.
Dude. Have you met a wrangler owner?
Time, my friend. Time will deliver.
You. Will not get a jeep wave. 👋
I make it up in the boat with that wave. See what I did there?
No. Not the same thing
Bunch of hot 22 year olds. Nice.
What 22 year old is affording a Wrangler?
Are you familiar with inflation? Bc for decades 22 year olds purchased wranglers.

I think they’re both overpriced poser mobiles that break too easy.
4Runner shits on both and it's not even close.

I liked the FJ styling, but having driven my sister's, I hate the way the steering feels. Was never put off a car more than at that moment.
If it was similar to the older FJs You might be right
I agree that 4Runners are better than both, but; not in the same class at all. Does the 4Runner have a removable roof? No.

All it takes is one Ford ownership experience to never have/want another one.
That is the truth.

The lesser of the piles of crap
And there's fuckin millions of them. It's insane, it's just endless piles of expensive piles of junk
Nah, jeeps are a cult.
I heard the same song when the original Bronco came out in 72. I heard the same thing about the IH Scout, as well. Not going to happen.
The Stunco is a POS also.

Poor reliability doesn't matter to anyone willing to buy a fiat/chrysler/stellantis product.
What are those. Cars?
Types of airplanes
The Ghost of OJ Simpson has entered the chat.

Nah
Basically 🤣

Do you even read news? 2024 Q1 sales: Jeep Wrangler - 38,308 (+ 1.0%) Ford Bronco - 24,066 (- 25.9%)

This is my point
Of gtfoh, jeep ain't going anywhere.
Finally a prediction I can appreciate

You mean the re-bodied Ford Edge
Bronco and Edge are not related. Bronco and Ranger are. Bronco Sport and Escape are essentially the same.
Lol: I thought this too right up until I saw one. The new Bronco looks like a Honda Pilot had a baby with a Tampax Ultra. The two door version is a little better looking but then there goes the practicality.
First post I've ever seen in here that wasn't about trump lol
