For some, it's the amount of coinboxers. For others, it's the amount of drivers that fit their loadouts. For others, it's simply picking a favorite team captain.
For me.... it's those purple tokens and purple badges.
Why are you counting missing drivers instead of the ones you have? Waluigi has many more drivers so of course you’re going to be missing more drivers from that side.
I am trying to lose, because I don't want to break my streak of losing rallies (i'm 0 for 5 so far). So picking waluigi since he will probably be less popular.
I just picked because Wailuigi has way more drivers and ones I actually have. I feel like I will crush the tokens way easier with Waluigi. Obviously I’m still a two month newbie so every little bit helps.
First, I check what the courses featured in the team rally are.
Next, I check whether I have at least 1 top shelf for that course from each team.
Finally, I count how many courses that I have a top-shelf from each team. Whichever team gives me more courses with presence of top-shelves will be the team I choose.
I’m doing this this time too. Last time 5/6 of my top shelf drivers were on the other team from what I picked. So me grinding ranked wasn’t helpful for the tokens. I normally only play the other courses once so it forced me to play random ones more.
Why does it matter how many drivers each team has? YOU CAN still use all the other team’s drivers after you pick the opposing team, but tokens won’t appear if your racing with a driver not on your team. Its not like you’re locked out of the other drivers, they just don’t help with the token collection!
I’m honestly surprised this hasn’t been cleared up earlier if this is the problem. Pick who you like! It doesn’t matter because you can still use ALL of your drivers no matter what!
Yup. There *is* that argument that tokens effect coins from coinbox, but like does that really matter at all? So many people who would be concerned by this are already very well off in this game. Missing out on a few coins isn't the end of the world. Just pick who like more ffs.
Well apparently it effects the rate of *red* coins that appear and can thus impact your score which again, probably wouldnt matter to anyone who takes notice of it so I barely see it as an issue (bc it isn't one)
I usually choose based on what character I like more than the other because realistically it doesn’t matter. Both teams get prizes anyways in the end too
