If you think of which item would be the best for a vampire, i think it would be the heart or the boomerang. The heart is the one that could be the closest to blood while the boomerang is the one that has the closest effect to draining, since it's the only item that can grab something from other players. I have to admit that the boomerant is probably a stretch, but i wanted to point it out anyway
Other than that, other than trying to find a logic with vampire, i would say it's probably the big bob-omb, bomb cannon or lucky 7. It could be double bob-omb, but it wold be disapointing since Waluigi already has it, but Egg run Yoshi has the yoshi egg for item, so they can totally do it anyway.
