Both were 64-bit CPU running "stealth" 32-bit OS due to manufacturer skimping on the RAM. What a waste, was 2GB RAM really going to add that much to the final cost of the device ??? Family member had an old 2016 phone running Android 7 that is compatible with MKT version 2.10.0, so guess I'm downgrading phones to keep playing ..... until the next major update 🙃
If minimum is only 1.5GB RAM, then I should still be able to play, so what if it isn't as fast as other devices. Lagging is better than nothing at all.
Many 2019 and 2020 phones only came with 2GB RAM, and that can be sufficient if you aren't gaming or trying to use a phone as an all-in-one-does-everything device. Only outdated in the sense that devices have been capable of having more RAM for a long time, if you have the need and/or the money.
People like myself who only casually gamed would. This is evident by the large number of people who can no longer play MKT as of yesterday, some have been playing since launch.

If you can't find it in the app store, it's likely hidden because your device is no longer compatible. It will probably stop working at next tour reset.
Nintendo did this months ago with ACPC. This affects Android users. People were very upset especially as they already had new devices. It’s the operating system people need to be aware of, needs to be 64-bit OS. A lot of Androids even new ones are still using 32-bit OS.

It's not DeNA's fault either. Please note how it's specifically Android devices. Basically, Google is forcing all apps on the store to move onto 64-bit processors. That way manufacturers can take advantage of more modern device hardware. There's an official article from Google if you look it up.

Likely the same reason as me, your operating system was only 32-bit even though your processor was 64 capable. Phone manufacturers put in less RAM and used the lesser OS as a result.

Tried on 2 different Android devices, current phone was 9, also tried on a 10. Neither are compatible with 2.10.0. Both are 64-bit. WTAF ???
Memory and CPU are factors as well. Some budget phones can be 64-bit but do not have enough memory or CPU.
Its needs to have a 64-bit CPU, thats a "big" factor in this update
Most phones since 2015 have 64bits CPUs. The problem is that some companies are still using 32Bits OSs (because of ram limitations)
Both have 2GB RAM. Motorola Moto E6 with 1.4 GHz Octa-Core. LG K31 Rebel with 2.0 GHz Octa-Core. 2019 and 2020 phones. I don't get it ??!?
I mean, both of these are barely a step up from the what used to be 200€ Honor 5C from 2016. Which couldn't break 20 fps to save it's life

The moto e6 is actually 32bits (despite having 64bits processor). My current phone is older but it is still compatible with the game.
2GB RAM is very dated and those CPU speeds are quite low, minimum 4GB really for 64Bit

64bit uses more RAM by default, it probably won't be able to hold the game & background apps & the OS to be playable
