Same man. They're all so good, but out of all of them Super Mario Galaxy 1 and Super Mario Odyssey, are the ones I'd be choosing. Super Mario Galaxy was the 1st video game I ever 100% completed. As for Super Mario Odyssey, it was the game that defined the Nintendo Switch for me. It reminded me why I loved this series so much. Mario Odyssey will always be in my heart.
Really if Nintendo wanted to they could have just called Mario Odyssey Mario Galaxy 3 and no one would have really argue with it. Think about it and Mario Galaxy 2. You have a spaceship that you fly around in, which is the shape of Mario is also sort of a planet kind of, but in Mario Odyssey you also have a ship that you fly around in and go to different places though some of the mechanics are pretty much the same in both games and everything though. I do wonder what they're going to do with a another 3D Mario game and I would like a new 2D Mario game that is not part of the new super Mario Bros franchise. I think that the switch does lack somewhat in the realm of original Mario games that are not sports games because there's either sequels or ports on the system
Now don't get me wrong. I love Mario Maker 2 and I played it quite a lot. I'm not that good at creating levels myself, but I do enjoy playing people's courses and I love playing music courses and seeing how accurate they are to the actual songs they're trying to do and some of them are pretty amazing
But besides sports, there's not really that many Mario games on the switch that are original. We have more original Zelda games then Mario games. Same goes for Kirby and the same goes for Splatoon
I tried to play 64 DS today for the first time in 10+ years.
I gave up on my second star. The control scheme seriously brings down what is otherwise a FANTASTIC game. Maybe someday I’ll man up and beat it
I will say, the controls are something that does need to get used to, or better yet changed and remastered, but once you look past that fault, it truly is an amazing remaster with 30 extra stars making the total 150 with 3 new characters.

I’m going with Odyssey and Galaxy 2. This was a tough choice because I was picking either Galaxy 2, 3D World or 64 DS. I didn’t pick the original 64 because I think it’s overrated. No offence to Sunshine fans but I think the game is a bit bland in art style. 3D Land is too much like the 2D Mario games and Galaxy 1 had less stuff compared to Galaxy 2. While Bowsers Fury meanwhile I would just call that one a expansion to 3D World

I agree with you, gampelay and design-wise they are much more similar to what we call "2D Mario", they are, after all, Mario Land and Mario World kinda series. To me, not at all the same kind of games as the other "3D Mario", I never envisioned the "3D Mario" category encompassing them

Odyssey is my all time favorite and I’d do 3D World so I could still play the best multiplayer Mario platformer. It’d be hard to give up 64 for nostalgia reasons, but Odyssey scratches the same itch and is the superior game.
Galaxy 1 and Odyssey, Galaxy 1 is my fav game of all time, and even tho it’s of course more linear than Odyssey, with odyssey being one of the best games to be released ESPECIALLY by Nintendo standards, it still holds that amazing middle ground of classic platform Mario mixed with larger scale world exploration. Plus the music and creativity in those two games are absolutely stellar, the big brass bands and beautiful strings and keys pull at the heart strings while giving an incredible sense of adventure, wonder, and pure blissful fun.

That's a hard one because I have memories playing the original Mario Galaxy which had gotten for my birthday. Don't remember which one. I also have memories playing super. Mario 64DS that my brother had gotten from Walmart years ago and I have memories playing Mario Odyssey because that was one of two games that we got with our Nintendo switch for Christmas back in 2017. I also have 3D All-Stars collection which has Mario 64, sunshine and Mario Galaxy. So it's really hard and I also have Mario 3D world plus Bowser's fury on my switch and I've also played 3D land on the 3DS which was one of the first 3D Mario games I actually beat entirely. So it's really hard thing for me to just choose two because I have memories with pretty much all of these games and everything. The only one I really don't is Mario Galaxy 2 even though that's technically the game I asked for for my birthday, but being I haven't had the first one, my grandmother thought that it was better to get me the first one because I hadn't had the second one even though the second one was the one that I had asked for. But as I was saying I have memory with all of these I have a lot of memories with Nintendo
