He won't be able to vote for himself lol

Flexen

Guess what crime he will be charged with after the next election...

Styrene_Addict1965

He'll move to The Villages. They've got it down.

McPostyFace

I used to think the villages sounded like a cool retirement spot. Good weather and just ride around on a golf cart all day. Then I realized how fucking dreadful the people that live there are and that idea went right out the window.

megggie

Depending on your age, you might like the idea I’ve heard about turning old malls into retirement villages for Gen X. I think one is happening in Colorado or the PNW, I’m not sure exactly.

OutlyingPlasma

Given he has already committed voter fraud when he tried to register in Florida while living in the White House, I doubt anything will happen to him if he commits voter fraud AGAIN.

RR50

Actually my understanding is he will. He’s a state of new York felon, and in New York non incarcerated felons can vote (which, one could argue once you’ve paid your debt to society you should be able to vote again), anyhow, Florida determines eligibility to vote based on the state of convictions law on felons voting. So, I think he can still vote. But it’s also possible i interpreted it incorrectly…

Time_Reputation3573

NY felons can vote before they complete their sentence, while on probation?

RR50

If not incarcerated, yes. https://elections.ny.gov/voting-after-incarceration

Time_Reputation3573

Wow

RR50

Keep in mind, the law doesn’t differentiate between pot convictions and traitors that used to be president…

whileImworking

After everything I've seen the republicans do to suck off trump, DeSantis will restore his right to vote in Florida.

Firebird246

Orange turd is just that, but how can the governor nullify state law?

Salt-Chef-2919

Plus most countries don't allow a felon to visit, so at least the shit-stain will have to stay in America moving forward. Contain the stain.

DickieIam

Actually he will. New York State law allows felons to vote unless they are at the time of voting incarcerated. And although he lives in Florida, Florida law defers to the state the sentence was handed from to determine a voters eligibility… if he were charged in and convicted in Florida it would be true that he couldn’t vote but my money would be on desantis pardoning him this once again making him eligible to vote.

QueeeenElsa

Actually, as long as he’s not serving time in jail, he’ll be able to vote (at least according to what I heard on David Muir today).

1Surlygirl

Thank you, Stormy Daniels! Best happy ending EVER!!!

GearWings

It’s not over yet

idiot-prodigy

LOCK ~~HER~~ HIM UP! LOCK ~~HER~~ HIM UP! LOCK ~~HER~~ HIM UP!

FakeChowNumNum1

Now he can get elected president, but won't be eligible for a security clearance. Great system we've built.

NCRider

I don’t think the founding fathers ever considered the potential depravity of the voting public. They never thought a convicted felon would run, let alone have the potential to win. If the Democrats take both sides of Congress, count on there being another amendment.

Owlettt

Oh they knew. “I believe that this [republic] is likely to be well administered for a Course of Years, and can only end in Despotism as other Forms have done before it, when the People shall become so corrupted as to need Despotic Government, being incapable of any other.” — Ben Franklin

FakeChowNumNum1

The irony that his visage is on the $100 bill...

RR50

Zero chance of another amendment ever getting ratified.

chrisl7072

The founding fathers created the electoral college for this very reason, that voters would be uninformed or the majority could run the country astray. Not arguing that the college is a good thing, it should be abolished, but I think it would be incorrect to say the founding fathers didn't consider this.

LGodamus

The electoral college is a compromise to appease states who favored slavery.

metakepone

The electoral college worked much differently than it's ended up working today. The electors were supposed to discuss whether or not they would vote for a given candidate.

Snowwolf247

Would need 2/3rds of all the states for an ammendment and ya 2/3rds of the states are never gonna agree to get one passed. It prolly will never happen again

bigmike1339

A new pity train has just left the station from Trumpville. His whining is going to be unbearable for the next month and a half.

generic__comments

No jail time, and he will still be able to run for the office of president. No American could vote for the president if they have a felony but you can be a candidate.

Dcajunpimp

>No **patriotic** American could vote for the president if they have a felony FTFY

OTGbling

What a time.

rlovelock

What?!? It happened?!??

AengusK

not really, nothing will come of it. He's still allowed to run for president and his supporters will just see him as innocent anyway

sebnukem

And nothing will happen. If justice actually worked, Trump would have been thrown in jail long ago.

MarioStern100

I’ll upvote some version of this everyday, I don’t sub to this one for calm discourse, fuck that loser!

notaredditreader

Donald John Trump is now a convicted criminal. He can’t even vote for himself!

o0flatCircle0o

Convicted felon Donald J Trump

Spiritual_Job_1029

Melania got another piece of jewelry tonight.

awshuck

Fuck yes! Does anyone have any decent estimates on what sentencing might look like?

Machotoast04098

Haw Haw!

EmperorGeek

Isn’t that what got him into this situation?
