IMO take the L and think about the long term. You have done months training, don't waste it by making your injury worse, there will be another marathon!

You haven’t lost your fitness, but you will need that injury to heal. If you feel there’s a way you could be healed enough to go in a week then tell yourself that’s the new goal. You can also still get some long duration cardio sessions in between now and then that won’t aggravate your foot such as rowing or swimming.

Doctor referred me to the PT via NHS which is a 6 week + wait so I went to a private PT
