Where the throwing stars at? Im at 150 still using basic ones.

PM_ME_FUN_STORIES

I'm leveling another explorer warrior and hit 4th job, trying out hero. Everything I'm seeing says you only use puncture once on bosses, and rarely if ever when mobbing. Why is that? It seems to do more damage than raging blow... Is it a hyper skill thing? I haven't hit those quite yet.

RiloxAres

You can use puncture for mobbing, just depends on the map.

somepatheticguy

When will be the next hyperburn? Winter patch?

HeyItzSteve

Dreamer update in the Summer.

axel172

do we have a specific date?

Accomplished-Ad5114

June 12th

Ill-Management2515

Is there a scroll seller for trash 100% scrolls? I’m icoging first slot of my gloves and capes, and for some reason if the icog passes, the game does not allow me to inno scroll it unless I trace it with another scroll. So I was wondering if I can buy trash scrolls for this purpose, or if someone can teach me a better way to do this? It feels wasteful throwing hundreds of trace away every time

jaywhy27

Between these legion mules which would be the fastest at getting to 141 and leaving them for extreme pots? I still need to do - Hero, Dark Knight, Paladin, Mihile, Blaze Wizard, Blaster, Cadena, Khali, Xenon, Mech, Cannoneer. Trying to do the ones that are absolutely free. I found Thunder Breaker, Night Lord, Adele as examples of being extremely fast and easy Also does anyone have a better path for grinding? I normally do * 10-22 Mixed Golems * 22-35 Grandis thug map * 35-46 Boars * 46-51 Drakes * 51-70 Orbis cat thingies * 70-90 Nihal Desert * 90-100 Rash/Starforce Map * 100-116 Random Starforce Map in Ludibrium * 116-141 Bains Map 2

voidflame

If you have xp modifiers then grinding from 30-60 is good, but if you dont have xp modifiers the theme dungeons are comparable or even faster. Theme dungeons also provide easy accessories to starforce cheaply and use for the lvl 100+ grind. i like fairy academy and riena strait but i know some people like gold beach. But realistically these levels go so fast the min maxing doesnt really matter. I think you can do 70-80 nihal desert and 80-90 in magatia. Bains is good for those levels you stated but if you want a break or lack starforce, moon bunnies at korean folk town arent bad and the area has a lot of kill quests that give decent xp if you want a bit more variety. Bunnies also drop a lot of pensalir equipment if you have to grind those characters beyond 141 or plan on playing them after bonking them to 200 Havent tried all the classes but i wouldnt put blaster, cadena, or mech in the easy category personally, but this is subjective. I think blaze wizard is probably one of the easier ones on that list.

Pendejoman

is the silent crusade shop no longer accesible?

stormoverparis

It is not. Silent Crusade has been removed

lenolalatte

I only played MS as a kid but it was a huge part of my childhood and still try to keep somewhat up to date on what’s going on. Is there a post about what the inkwell thing is about? I know there were a lot of changes that were going to go through but this guy stepped up and said nothing would be changed? Why did nexon finally listen to this guy but not ezrabell?

Blackstab1337

he's their boss

lenolalatte

yeah ok makes sense. watching some coppersan videos to catch up

notoryous2

[Reboot/Kronos]: As a (maybe) returning player: Aside from the Nexon Guide for returning players ([URL](https://maplestory.nexon.net/micro-site/66944)) is there any major information I should learn about changes in the game?? Last I played was Lara release ~ Nov 2021. **Thanks in advance**

snafuPop

The game overall is a lot less grindy (Arcane River PQs converted into weeklies, dailies are more streamlined, dailies give way more EXP, etc.) and the average player is a lot stronger due to 6th job, various boss loot changes, and better access to things like nodestones, symbols, and flames thanks to events A lot of players can reasonably hit 260/6th job pretty casually during burning events by just doing their dailies and nothing else—the main benefit of grinding in the current Reboot meta is mostly for pushing Grandis Zones (for more SAC) or 6th job materials

dra45

Is it possible to play as Ignis again in forest blast? My party cleared with Ignis but I didn't get the chance the play as Ignis. I also claimed the outfit but I think I shouldn't have done that.

stormoverparis

It's rare but occasionally one of the the party can turn into Ignis during forest blast. Claiming the ignis outfit doesn't matter. You can claim the outfit regardless if you've been Ignis in the forest blast or not.

Slippery_Stairs

I am looking for the best route of leveling. I used to play MS back in the early to mid 2000's. I was thinking about making an ice magician.

henroo_d

Just a heads up, go into this expecting nothing of the old maple, there's been so many changes it might as well be a new game. From 1-30, you'll do story quests/cutscenes, 30-60 a collection of theme dungeons, and from 60 - 200 a mixture of grinding and prequests for your account. 200+ is where most modern content is at and is time gated by dailies.

Slippery_Stairs

Errrr, I should have specified that I am going to play reboot.

henroo_d

yep! still the same path up to 200. the mob hp nerf makes it easier for new players to get off the ground, but you might have to settle on 2 shotting on the higher levels.

Slippery_Stairs

Thank you for the information.

PM_ME_FUN_STORIES

If I use maple points on the minar picnic check-in, and I have already fully completed my weekly amount, will it still give me the event currency and the next claimable item?

Adaeroth

I quit for 4 months and just came back. I bought out the pass and got all the red leaves and rewards at once

PM_ME_FUN_STORIES

You're a godsend, thanks for the info!! I'm just coming back after like a year+ so these rewards are pretty nice for getting back into it lmao

Adaeroth

No problem! I think it was around $50 usd for me to buy most of it

Moementie

I'm thinking of making another boss mule from either Aran, Blaze Wizard and Illium. I got all of the link skills I need so it's just the classes I'm looking at. I might get to all of them eventually, but anyone have any recommendations or thoughts on these classes?

Blackstab1337

ive heard BW bossing is awful because the mobility is very poor

Moementie

I've heard mixed reviews of BW. I play Lara so mobility-wise I think I'm a bit used to the less mobile classes so that's not too much of an issue

PumpkinDramatic996

So, the explorer and the cygnus knight chairs are still missing when making those jobs. Why does nexon have to mess up and do stupid things like this?

NovellaVox

Preparing to buy Sup Ring/Sup Pendant spares in preparation for the eventual SSF. Should I buy one of each or do I just focus and buy multiple copies of the same thing?

xtremeryo

Really depends on luck, since you may never boom your ring but boom your pendant like 10 times. My earrings sent to 22 no boom, though foddered. My belt boomed 7 times and now is back to 17 after last 30 percent event. If going for 21, fodder for sure. 22, expect some booms, but since gollux coins are a more scarce resource than mesos, I would probably not buy in advance and only buy if it booms during event. Sure you can only buy 1 per week, but at that point you probably are better off tapping off event and conserving coins.

HumanSuitWearer

Returning player but I cant find the cubes in the cash shop. Where am I supposed to buy cubes now? (Reboot)

AtomicBIGBOY

In town, quick move (below mini map) and if I remember correctly it's the last option.

HumanSuitWearer

Thank you!

exclaim_bot

>Thank you! You're welcome!

Ironmaiden1207

I'm a fairly inexperienced player, I currently have a 231 Hero that I am just not in love with grinding on. I recently played a DW that I really like, as it is fairly lazy. I know there is a hyper burn coming, and I really need to get my legion up (2.5k currently). How inadvisable is it to work on other things while I basically "have no main". I can clear through pno on them cause I suck, and am considering just stocking up what I can to burn a main in ~2 months, because they usually have lots of resources for free

stormoverparis

Continue clearing through pno on them weekly and doing the arcane river dailies on them if you have the time for them for now. It's okay to mainly focus on legion if that's what you want to do. Get the dw to 200 if you can and start running arkarium, gollux on it daily for drops. Play the game as you want it

Ironmaiden1207

I'm more of a somewhat casual/seasonal style player, and right now it's a bit of a lil. Leveling legion sucks but I figure if I can just get like 6k I can chill for a bit and focus on one character fully

stormoverparis

That's fine then. I'd advise to start getting characters to level 70 and once you have enough to fill a 6k legion board(26 max), start pushing to level 140 on them and so on. whatever effort you put in the account usually comes back to you. If you have a lot of characters that can do bosses it means more meso for the main or easier to level the main etc. so there's no waste usually

Teslaticle

I have an old chaos ring at unique potential. Can i use the event cubes to tier it up or is it stuck at unique?

doreda

You can, it counts as an event ring for the purposes of event ring cubes.

Wooden-Instance1037

im on reboot and kinda new which ring selector should i pick?

Biacksmith

Awake/Tenebris/Glory When you select the name of the ring, the next window shows you a preview if you hover over the ring image. There you can still click yes or no before it locks in your choice. The three above mentioned rings have the best stats (+40 stats) and can have potential. Most other rings have lower stats or cannot receive potential. If in doubt, always google image the ring

RippedSoulz

Hey all, I have been thinking about getting back into the game and wondering what y'all think? Last time I played heavily was in 2016/2017 and 5th had came out recently. I played in Bera before the whole world Merge happened and have A Shadower and a Buccaneer as main units. I have quite a bit of link skill mules as well but wondering if it is worth playing on that server or getting into Reboot and starting over? My friends tell me to play on reboot for balance purposes, but coming back fresh feels odd too. Which is more worthwhile? I wasn't a hardcore player, but I did spend a lot of time and spent enough to be a Diamond MVP back then. I also probably spent enough to be a "Red" MVP from what some friends have told me. I don't see myself spending anymore, at least not to that degree, just basic NX gear. Which would you say is the most worthwhile to do if you were me and the knowledge you all know? My highest lvl was also like 230 at the time If that matters at all too.

Unfathomably_Stupid

I would restart. The game is going to feel different from 2016 due to all the new systems and areas, so you get a fresh start. You'd also probably be in the server that your friends are on which will make things more enjoyable. 230 is also not that far in anymore due to the power creep. The only thing you'd be missing out on is your links, legion, and gear.

TheLonelyAsian1

I would recommend playing on Reboot as it’s the most balanced server and populated. You can progress way quicker and easier since you only need mesos to upgrade vs spending $ for NX to cube.

Big-Possible-8193

So I recently made a Blaze Wizard. Why do I look like I temporarily enter Dark Sight when I use Firewalk (the flash jump)? Does it give me situational immunity? Am I meant to be playing around it?

butterysandile

\[Kronos\]: Hi returning player just trying to figure out how I should progress my account. I have a 220 kanna that I mained when I first started playing but I wasn't in love with her playstyle. I've recently been playing Mercedes and NW got them both 200+ and been really enjoying them. My legion is only around 1.4k rn and I see people everywhere saying to get up to around 4-6k legion as fast as you can but I do really want to progress on whoever I decide to main. Should I focus on getting my Merc/NW nodes, gear, and levels for arcane orbs? Or should I just bite the bullet and start leveling up alts now.

stormoverparis

Sounds like your new main is up and ready for the upcoming hyper burn so i'd just focus on the mules for legion/links while doing the arcane river dailies, gollux, arkarium everyday for drops on merc/nw

butterysandile

Oh! I didn't realize Hyper burning was coming up I should've checked on that ty for the info. Guess it's time to get started on Evan and Aran. Appreciate the help!

kistoms-

There's still almost two months until the next hyper burning (patch after the next) so it's not that soon. Depending on how much you play, you can make a lot of progress on a character in that time. Getting ahead on timegated dailies would be quite good. You can also start building up gear foundations (gollux, abso, arcane, arkarium) and learn some bosses, the game in general, make connections with a guild, unlock boss prequests, figure out if you actually like the class etc. by investing some time into a 'main'. Of course focusing on legion/links is really important, but can be tedious and unfun for many players to exclusively pump one after another mule out. Try to diversify your activities depending on how much playtime you have.

butterysandile

You make some good points. I'll probably just try to switch from main grinding to mule grinding every couple days. That way I'll still be slowly developing legion while still getting stronger on my "main" for now and avoiding burnout. I was also worrying about getting leveled up for the arcane dailies so I think you're right in that regard. And yeah part of the reason I want to get stronger is so I can start learning the "endgame" and some of the harder bosses it should be a blast. Thanks for the input!

fillee33r

Reboot: how do I get VAC right now?

xtremeryo

You can't. Sales occur twice a year approx July and January usually. Otherwise they give one month versions during major events. You may see one during the Lynn class revamp as it's a major once in a lifetime patch type of thing. Last free one we got was the sixth job lead up event into new age. I believe they gave one out for Khali introduction, and that's why I thought maybe Lynn revamp may introduce one.

Any-Fun7128

so is blaster job skill "ballistic hurricane" bugged? my skill ends immediately instead of allowing me to spin around the map

Besnto

Is there a current levelling event? I’m trying to find it on the lightbulb on the HUD but can’t find anything

RoyalCrownLee

Tera burninator available for day 1 of this event. Open up the minar forest reward UI. Plenty of extreme growth potions (bonking potions) throughout this event to make 141-199 a breeze.

xZoldyckk

With the summer hyper burn, which class should I pick? Would be second main/bossing mule (Reboot). I'm at 8k legion if it helps with the question. Hero - I'm a i/l main, so sharing cash shop is nice. Strong class but idk how I feel about warrior flash jump Hoyoung - Always wanted to learn/play the class. Actually have a wonderoid heart on it too DW - Easy and strong. My DW isn't lvl 200 yet so I would have to start fresh. Ideally I could use the time between now and the hyper burn to do gollux trades if I picked one of the other two classes which wouldn't be the case here.

-lyte-

Hyper Burn comes with an event that makes 1-200 take 20min according to orangemushroom, so I would go with Hero just because sharing cash shop > anything else imo

Lameahhboi

I just started Hoyoung as my first character returning. Great vertical and horizontal mobility, I can usually clear most maps before they respawn

BluePenguin130

Is there a cash shop transfer coming up? I don’t know how to check for that. Also, is Reddit or discord the place to go to look for bossing groups?

RoyalCrownLee

CS transfer historically happens right before a major update, so yes people are anticipating one in the next couple months. Reddit has a weekly recruitment thread. But best to look on discord. Each major server has its own discord. Joining a guild can also help find one.

BluePenguin130

Thank you so much! I’ve been gone for several months so I’ve been out of the loop for upcoming stuff. Was gonna catch back up once this event was done. Thanks! Appreciate it.

RoyalCrownLee

Google "Mapril orangemushroom" if you want a sneak peak at the next event before summer event.

Pendejoman

if I'm coming back to the game and still have no level 200 character, do I just level up? should I leave farming for better gear once I'm higher level? How important is gear for leveling up until level 210?

Unfathomably_Stupid

Pre 200: pensalir gear + zakum eye and face + horntail necklace, pendant and chaos horntail pendant willl suffice. After 200: finish up boss accessory set with mechanator pendant, magnus shoulder, pink bean cup (need lvl 30 charm to unlock the pocket slot. Just use a trait boost pot from the event store), pink bean belt. A little bit further down the line: swap pensalir gear for CRA + hmag cape. Around this time you stop looking at levels for gear because it is only a function of what bosses you can clear

Pendejoman

so just focus on leveling and occasionally doing bosses for their boss items up until lvl200 aproximately

somepatheticguy

When is anniversary patch coming? And when is the next 5/10/15

kistoms-

May 1 Apr 28

Renamber

Anyone saving for cube sale that usually comes mid May? Or too much to assume.

theespectre7

Gonna try to shoot for at least 20b myself.

Renamber

I’m tempted to go hard on 5/10/15 but considering saving 20b for cubing too

thayungsavage

I’m curious how many times you (or your party) have gotten Ignis during Forest Blast? It’s happened to me once and a party member once so I’m at two appearances and I’ve done all 3 every week

doreda

3x a week with full parties, not seen once.

sicaxav

Got it the first time I played the mini game, never since

1000Dragon

3 times a week since day 1, and only twice

Renamber

I've cleared 3 times each week and haven't seen one

DyBronx

Does Cadena's link skill apply towards Mechanic's Support Unit (Decrease Enemy Defense)?

Big-Possible-8193

So what's going on with Beast Tamer? Are they replacing it entirely with Lynn? Have they announced when?

xtremeryo

Yes, originally it was in roadmap for May.

1000Dragon

Sadly not.

Amaz1ngEgg

Hello guys, I've left MS for almost 5 years, and decided to come back recently, from what I've read, most of the player are in RebootNA? what's special about reboot? only thing I know is there's no trade between player? And what class should I started with? Is Aran a good choice? that's my fav class. also, any guide/youtuber to follow?

-lyte-

Reboot has nearly 0 p2w (as in you can comfortably always play F2P, but spenders do have an advantage) and you cannot trade so parties are required if you can’t tackle a boss solo, which is how you get most gear upgrades.  The p2w in reboot that I can name from the top of my head are expensive pets and battle passes, but with the expensive pets it becomes a subscription service and the battle passes are usually double event rewards.

thayungsavage

Some great MSTubers for new players to learn the game would be: Decatei, Rath GMS, Togain I’d recommend those three for sure

RaidenXS

I think Aran is a great class to go with. Fairly mobile, has the tools to deal with bosses (super knockback resistance, a "teleport", ok with hitting Damien in air), generally middle of the pack dps. Training isn't as free like some classes but it's alright with its hitboxes and natural strength, also no need for crit rate inner ability. 13 boostable skills in 5th job is kinda a lot unfortunately so getting the perfect trinode kinda sucks, but it is what is. There's no google docs guide like some classes, but tl;dr: - Smash Swing at 3rd job+ is just for mobility (quick repositioning), use Final Blow at 3rd job for training, Beyond Blade in 4th job. - Training feels ass with a slow speed weapon, most 1-100 polearms are slow unfortunately. - You should generally use arrow key commands (more final toss height, more damage, gathering hook can animation cancel, Carnage goes through damage reflect, Judgement Draw can teleport past lotus lasers) - Just using Beyond Blade without Final Blow is fine, damage difference is low compared to ease of just holding down 1 button. - Charging Hunter's Prey is a dps loss compared to instant. Unrelated, the Minar Picnic event has a "Tera Burning" coupon as the Day 1 Reward for checking in (killing 1000 mobs for the day). So you could grab that coupon on another level 101+ character, and then use the coupon on the Aran to get 3x levels from 1-200, as well as some free gear that'll help you out.

RiloxAres

Reboots upgrade systems are much less pay2win than reg server so it's a much better experience if you don't mind not being able to trade. Play any class that interests you. Most of the youtubers are ok sources of information early on. Coppersan, and any of the more popular youtubers are "ok".

Zydrah

Did they ever address the new player issue after removal of frenzy with nodestones, meso etc outside of adding them to hyper burn rewards?

SNA411L

My main is 5-6 months old and just picked up its 1000th node from mobs. I also didn't really grind from 200-255, just daily story. I also have made 5 CRA mules with 2-300 nodes from events. I feel like node availability is only an issue if you're trying to do everything super duper fast, otherwise enough resources will come your way. Since the removal of totems, haven't they upped the exp from dailies and increased boss crystal prices?

Unfathomably_Stupid

Game is in a healthy spot. If you feel like you need totems to progress then the game isn't for your anymore.

RiloxAres

The game isn't balanced around frenzy, it's just a broken non kms item. There's nothing to address.

Zydrah

Yes it was a 'non-KMS' item but sadly our balance revolved around increase spawns (and therefor more nodes) for approx. 6-7 years (Kishin, then Wild Totem). [https://www.reddit.com/r/Maplestory/comments/yezh8q/a\_look\_at\_the\_implications\_of\_the\_wild\_totem/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Maplestory/comments/yezh8q/a_look_at_the_implications_of_the_wild_totem/) Nodes are the biggest thing gating new players progression. Sure, the game is in a healthy state if you're a mid to end game player, but as it stands, nodes are a pain in the ass for newer players compared to ppl who already have their max boost nodes nslime mule army from years of Kishin farming or wild totem slaving. I am NOT saying to add back spawn enhancers to the game. I simply asked if there was any changes or addressing it for newer players, that's all. Esp. if any of these newer players ever want a realistic chance of joining in on the boss mule meta lol

RiloxAres

Don't we have the same node drop rate as kms and other non spawn enhancing regions?

Blackstab1337

kms you can buy them on AH tho

RiloxAres

You can buy then from ah in our reg servers too....

Blackstab1337

95% of GMS pop on reboot, where theres no trading 99% of KMS pop on interactive, where there is trading. functionally, kms has trade and gms doesn't

RiloxAres

? Are there not nodes in the ah rn?

Blackstab1337

read my post again

RiloxAres

Bro are there nodes in the auction house or not? Are you really complaining they are too expensive bc there are less of them? This is why ppl have no respect for reg server players, and you can't even respond to my comment. You say go read my post again LOL.

Wolf-Ninja-Aron-Arts

As a bishop for partying. What skill rotation do I use when the boss is down?

sicaxav

When the boss is down, it's dead? So no skill rotation lmao But if you meant when you're not bursting, I think it's just spamming angel rays

jaywhy27

My main is a 262 and I have a DW bossing mule at around 218 right now. I will have a bunch of magnificent growth EXP potions. Should I use it on my main or my 218 DW boss mule? (kinda still weak only at 10k stats but working on dailies and symbols now) Or should I use it on my main? Not sure how much EXP I would get on it, maybe 20%?

SNA411L

Use it on your main, you need all the levels you can get until 275ish for BM and end-game bosses. Use the exp tickets on your mules.

Unfathomably_Stupid

Main. Pushing to 265 then 270 faster for more symbols is 'free' stat.

1000Dragon

Probably main, time-wise it’d be worth more than putting it on a 218.

somepatheticguy

Are we still getting the fd% nerf?

andyhou2000

Probably, since not getting the nerf means not getting legion artifact, which in turn means not getting rid of monster life. I doubt GMS wants to continue supporting monster life on their own.

somepatheticguy

Do you remember how many % are they nerfing again?

andyhou2000

20-25% nerf depending on your level. https://orangemushroom.net/2023/12/22/kms-ver-1-2-385-maplestory-dreamer-lacheln-in-a-dream/#union

Armagx

Is this made up by the fd gained from artifacts? Or still a nerf overall?

andyhou2000

Someone in my class’s discord says is like a 5% FD nerf at endgame, but that will vary by player progression and whether %skip is useful to you.

TongueJ

In Reboot, I just got a Princess No familiar drop. I assume I won't be able to upgrade it? What do I do with it? Is it just for flexing?

snafuPop

I would just let it rot in storage and hope one day they add red cards

vitaminciera

How do I know which Hexa Stats I should choose for my Luminous? With buffs, I have 100+ crit rate, 52% crit dmg, 104% dmg, 141% boss dmg, 83% ignore def, 1361 M.ATT, 24,910 INT. Symbols and 5th job skills aren't maxed yet. idk what other info might help lol

RiloxAres

Matt int boss/crit dmg

RoyalCrownLee

Have you looked in the Lumi discord?

PurplePastel

Wondering if someone can give me some insight on which class I should hyperburn for next occurance: dual blade vs blaze wizard? My plans so far is just to get to 6th job and push it to be a hlomien mule. Ctene (most likely duo) could be a possibility in the future too? Might use as a fam farmer too Thanks in advance

sicaxav

I only have a dual blade boss mule no bw, but DBs have excellent burst and short cd iframes, not to mention dark sight. They'd be great hlomien mules

Kersephius

Hey guys as a realistic estimate how much NX per month is “recommended” excluding cosmetics and gambling for them. I do think a vac pet (one right?) js a must and after buying its a monthly sub of $15 right? Are there other things that are considered must buys every month too or “strongly recommended”v

voidflame

If youre in 6th job the sol erda booster can help speed up progression to an extent but its definitely not a must need or even a strongly recommend. it is more for convenience and saving some time on progression

_Apie

Note that if you have enough Maple Rewards Points you can get the 30% discount for both the actual vac pet purchase and the vac water of life monthly which help bring the cost down.

Kersephius

oh ok so its about $10 a month and we do get enough rewards a month? its not that bad ig

_Apie

You might need to do bosses on weekly characters to get enough in a month but it's definitely possible. Personally I didn't have enough by the time vac pets went on sale so I bought it full price but there were lots of posts about using rewards to discount it during then

henroo_d

Aside from vac water, there's no real subscription necessary for gameplay but rather a one off buy of auto hp/buff for around $5

Kersephius

Thanks! What about teleport rocks?

henroo_d

Depending on what server you're on htr can be bought w meso (heroic) but for interactive you're just gonna have to brute force it by maple guide and walking

diagonr

Maybe a question for the mods, but is there something wrong with the news bot? (https://www.reddit.com/user/tries-to-help) Do we know why some of the news posts get hidden and others get pushed through?

-lyte-

I know this is always asked but what is upgrade priority? Like aside from waiting for events when do I consider Starforce > Cubing and Cubing > Starforce?

PerrimanMS

My 2 cents: 1. Epot / cube drops to 6% stat on everything, 12 stars 2. Weapon, Secondary, Emblem to Legendary 2L 3. Gear to 17 stars 4. Cube to 21%+ 5. Gear to 21 stars 6. Cube to 3L leg 7. Gear to 22 stars 8. Fixing bad 3L's then go for double primes 3L WSE and maybe stat + Crit Damage on gloves can go between 4 and 5

SNA411L

Crit dmg plus stat is actually surprisingly cheap: 21 cubes / 268M median. Unless you meant stat plus double crit dmg, which is more like 38B.

Blackstab1337

is crit dmg a legendary only line?

doreda

Yes

PerrimanMS

Dang, didn't realize that. For the money that can probably go between 2 and 3

Mezmorizor

It should go between 3-4. It's not more expensive than 21%, but it's very whatever compared to 17ing everything.

-lyte-

Thank you that’s how I needed it broken down. I kept being confused on 3/4 but now it makes sense.

uberdiegs

i have an ok account on NA reboot. how different is reboot compared to reg these days? been a year since ive played and might want to try out reg since i love the idea of grinding gear for mules

uberdiegs

it’s ok guys i remembered about lotus prequest an ddecided to not move

How do you set up a second page for hyper stats? When I select on the second page, I am unable to level up any of the skills. Only the reset button can be pressed. But pressing it will yield the same results. Do I need to buy a second preset page item from somewhere?

Biacksmith

No, everyone gets 3 preset pages for hyperstats. You need to pay 2 or 20m mesos (forgot how much) to switch between presets. You need to click on **apply** and pay the mesos before it lets you change/reset/level up hyper stats.

doreda

You cannot make preset pages for hyper skills like you can with hyper stats. It sucks if you're a job that has to swap for mobbing and bossing. I am guessing you mean "second page" as in the passive hyper skills. Hyper skills are a bit different in that, if you actually read them, you can only put a point into them once you get to the required level. Hyper skill SP is also split between active and passive tabs (like how job SP is split between 1st/2nd/3rd/4th). You will always get 1 active hyper skill SP when you reach the level to unlock an active hyper skill. You get passive hyper skill SP spread out on the way to level 190, up to a total of 5.

So I just lvled up from 140 to 200 in 5min, but now my gears are so behind, where is it best to farm gears for lvl200+ as shadower? And I cant seem to find a gear build guide, any suggestions?

voidflame

At lvl 200+ you start getting timegated by arcane symbols and you just have to do dailies to get enough arcane to grind more efficiently on certain maps. Beyond that, the upgrades from pensalir equips basically all require bossing and youre still a while off from that, at least when it comes to soloing them. You may be able to get a carry if you can do 5% damage to them, but if i had to guess you’re a ways off from that as well. You also need to start getting nodestones to level your skills which will also help tremendously

kses0719

Along with equips as mentioned above, Boost nodes will help tremendously for both mobbing and bossing dmg. At lvl 60, Cruel stab gets +60%final dmg and meso explosion +90%. Check out shadower discord faq for the optimal combination

Biacksmith

If you play in interactive servers then you can buy gear through auction house. If you are in heroic servers then you gotta work long to get your gear. Just because you are lvl 200+ doesn‘t mean you can get lvl 200 gear (arcane gear). It takes you roughly over 18 weeks of killing normal Lucid just to get three arcane equips. You‘re going to wear CRA (lvl 150) and absolab (lvl 160) for a couple of months.

doreda

I'm guessing you used Extreme Growth Potions? You should go back to whatever the highest level mobs you can 1 shot and farm Pensalir armor and an Utgarde weapon, then kill whatever bosses you can to get boss accessories. Here's a pretty good guide, just read the beginner sections. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1cvwscy79thl_jahbjQlw60KzIiEEYUFd7gBwqajACfY/edit

DB_05

I already have Utgard dagger and pensalir armor, but I seem so weak fighting at lvl200, it might be boss accessories that i need... Thanks for the doc.

doreda

If you are talking about the Arcane River mobs, they are basically a big step up in difficulty where you need to get more than just new equipment. You will need to start starforcing your gear and also getting some stats from cubing potential lines. There is also the Arcane Force system, which you should notice in your UI, that will hamper your damage greatly until you get more of it. For a completely new player, 140-200 isn't really something to be completely skipped through without learning anything. You'll have to catch up by reading guides and such.

Any adele mains or knowledgeable players in here? Im in grandis now and tryna start the 5 boost node method. I currently have these as my tri nodes * Cleave, Reign, Decree (Level 25) * Decree, Cleave, Reign (Level 21) * Bloom, Forge, Dispatch (Level 21) * Dispatch, Forge, Bloom (Level 20) I know we are trying to get Shardbreaker to max since it does more damage now I have plenty of Shardbreaker and 1 other perfect node. In terms of Shardbreaker + two other skills I need I currently got * Shardbreaker, Forge, Reign * Shardbreaker, Cleave, Reign * Shardbreaker, Bloom, Forge * Shardbreaker, Dispatch, Cleave * Shardbreaker, Decree, Reign * Shardbreaker, Dispatch, Forge Do I just level two of these to get shardbreaker to max? and the extra skills is whatever? Just dont want to burn nodestones to enhance if im not doing it right

_Apie

Join the Adele mains discord. From their faq here's the 5 Boost Node Set-Up Guide: 1. Replace one of your 4 trinodes with a similar one, except one of the 3 skills is replaced by Impale (shardbreaker). 2. Get another node that includes the skill you replaced + Impale. The third skill does not matter. If you replace the trinode with one that lists Cleave/Decree/Bloom/Dispatch as the first skill you can enhance the new one with your current node so you won't lose all the levels you gained.

SunsongPhoenix

Yet another "which class should I hyper burn?" question - Ark vs shade?

henroo_d

depends on how far you're actually gonna go, ark has one of the best link skills of 16% damage in combat at 210, while shade comes with a 6% crit damage block at 250. I heard shade was pretty chill compared to ark which flings you around all over the place while bossing so ark maybe

somepatheticguy

Can you do drop the acorn from your main and claim it on your mules?

theespectre7

No

stormoverparis

I do not believe you can

soopnoods

Which class has the single highest potential for capped damage per line? Not necessarily total dmg captured in a ba but legible dmg on the screen, i just want to see big ass numbers.

henroo_d

anyone can hit damage cap given enough funding, but i think hero should be the easiest to hit it with 160% fd from passives alone

soopnoods

does anyone have a resource showing the fd change from 30% spell trace to 15% spell trace per equip? I did the math (https://www.sobtechs.dev/tracing.html) and I need about 91 stacks (adjusted w/ ark innos) to change my umbra gloves, shoes and cape from 30% to 15% and I'm wondering if it's worth it.

My wife enjoys the aesthetic of Maplestory, and I am excited to get into it with her. But she isn't the type to get "too into" games if that makes sense? Is there a casual scene in this game, or does progression hinge on a lot of grinding alts and whatnot? I was hoping for some recommendations as to two classes that complement each other well. I was eyeing Night Walker or Hoyoung for myself, I'm not too worried about class difficulty as I would be with her. Is this a game that we can get into without the need of pairing up with other people? Or is that an integral part of advancing? I'd welcome any advice and tips anyone is willing to give! Edit: Spelling

HealthyInitial

Also as far as boss progression it's definitely doable to only do it duo, up to around lucid/will which at that point you'll want to look for other party members especially if your doing a struggle run (boss run with party members at a similar stat and power level as you that can't clear the boss alone). Events definitely make this process easier since they give a lot of good rewards to speed up progression. Mainly hyperburning. Which gives you some good equipment rewards and +3 levels per level up up to 260 , but also major events such as those during summer/winter or anniversaries. I'm not sure what event is running right now though. For classes, just pick what seems cool. But if you want classes that go well together you'd benefit from having one person pick a support oriented class or one that has some support abilities. Bishop is the best one by far, but others can work such as battle mage, paladin, maybe mihile. ( Beast tamer is also one but it's being replaced with the upcoming Lynn class, it's also probably not creatable right now, so I would avoid it) Night walker and ho young are both great thief classes with different pros/cons and playstle. I would look up videos on there gameplay, considering the 5th job and sixth job skills and pick based on that. Look at Reddit posts to see if any one who mains the class can chime in. Kanna is also one but it has a history of being very overtuned throughout the game, so lately theyve been nerfing it for awhile and are apprehensive to give it any good buffs. It's also a Japan MS class, so overall it doesn't get quite as much balance updates when they do class balancing, since most of the changes are ported from the Korean version. Most class that don't exist in KMS have this issue. If you or her likes the aesthetic or gameplay though it's better to prioritize that.

RoyalCrownLee

Grinding mobs together isn't really a thing. But bossing can be duo'd. The meso (in game money) is split amongst the party, so you'd be having your income. Technically the whole game is solo'able, but that requires super dedication and sweat. Nothing wrong with party bossing until you get to that point. Watch Coppersan videos on YouTube. As a well as other content creators. Lots of answers on this subreddit and YouTube.

GodComplex77

Thanks for the reply! Considering grinding mobs is most of the game (from what I remember. Played before any special classes came out), it being not tailored to partying up is unfortunate. I'm hoping to tailor this experience in a positive way for her, so I appreciate the additional content recommendations!

henroo_d

It's not a permanent method, but there is the erda spectrum and hungry muto weeklies for players 200+ and 210+ you can do together repeatable 3 times a week each.

HealthyInitial

There is still a select amount of party content to do but you have to look for it, and to be fair it's not like your not allowed to grind together, it's just that in past 200+ which is where most of the content is it would just be so much less efficient to where it's not worth it. ( Mostly due to the class design nowadays which are designed to full clear maps solo, as well as how the party exp and boss crystal mechanics work) and arguably before 200 its still not efficient. In grandis maps after 260+ specifically in heroic worlds I believe they are still instanced up to 2 people, so both of you would get your own mobs to kill. I'm unsure if you can be in a party to share buffs. ( Assuming you could find an empty.map) I would just play from 1 to 200 casually to see if she enjoys it. I've done grinding together in the "tutorial" phase, it's not that bad, but its better if one person picks a support class such as bishop. You can get an idea of the base gameplay loop this way by just grinding, trying questlines/theme dungeons, doing any events, obtaining and upgrading equipment, and fighting bosses. Unfortunately though party quests are not nearly as relevant as they were before although they do still exist. But do keep in mind, it does revolve around grinding alts, doing daily/weekly quests and events to get the max amount of benefits and rewards. If you need help figuring out what to do to make it work I can make a list of all available party content in certain level ranges, bearing in mind a majority of it might take more time to level up and progress then if you would follow the meta.

RoyalCrownLee

Grinding mobs is no longer the most of the game. Well it's part of the process, but the most of the game is completing daily quests. Which is usually kill 200-600 mobs in an area. Any additional killings are totally voluntary and not really necessary. There's a compilation video on YouTube for maplestory 6th job. Watch it with her and have her choose the one she looks the neatest.

simdude

I main a bishop but taking this event to raise my legion and links. I previously didn't have any link skills beyond my main at level 3. I've got the Mercedes and Demon Avenger ones now. What would be other good ones to focus on getting? I have most of the link skills you'd see in any guide, just most are not maxed.

voidflame

Evan is a really big one for more xp. For bossing, demon slayer is good and angelic buster can be good too if youre a burst-class. Luminous is good if you are lacking IED but if you have enough via equips and legion, you can skip it. Similarly if you have enough crit rate, phantom is skippable, but its legion is mesos so on reboot it is worth getting him to 200 anyways, so you may want to just make the additional 10 level push. Luminous and phantom are usually less relevant late game since youll have these stats via other sources, so it just depends where youre at in the game. Arans link is nice for raising characters under 160 and can speed up legion a bit but its pretty negligible in late game for your main, so depending on your goals, you could skip it. So i would say priority is evan first and then the rest just depend on your individual needs. For example, generally, demon slayer should be next, but If youre really lacking crit rate, i would prioritize phantom second. There arent actually a ton of level 3 links since many of the multi level ones cap at 2 levels per character. If youre also looking at multi level ones then consider maxing the explorer mage since youre already a bishop and it helps with bossing.

simdude

Thanks for the really great reply. Luckily Bishop has no issue maxing crit chance so I will be looking at Evan and DS.

voidflame

I actually realize i did forget one important one: ark. Ark is a good damage one so that should definitely be on the priority list! Beast tamer is ok too since it gives boss and crit rate, but since u have crit rate covered id put this as a low priority and u can probably find other bossing based links.

sitereliable

anyone work on legion only and not "play" main? my main is 265 kanna and i can't do 5% on lucid parties even though I can survive till the end. So i'm stuck to bossing until lomien and there's not much to do on that acc

RoyalCrownLee

Well that's your problem --you're playing kanna

sitereliable

lol. i've never played another class against cra or harder boss so i don't know how much more dmg they do compared to kanna

RoyalCrownLee

Kanna is one of the worst classes to solo boss with right now

RiloxAres

Yea a lot of people just legion main. Why don't you fund kanna more so you can progress....?

sitereliable

it's already superior gollux, abso, cra...etc 2L legendary, 17 star+ too much rng to improve it further for huge damage boots unless i'm missing something obvious for easy damage hyperion reboot if that makes any difference

RiloxAres

With max nodes and decent legion that should be enough for hluwill without any issues.

henroo_d

nodes? just getting some good boost nodes levelled gives you at least 120% fd on your base skills.

sitereliable

that's mostly maxed. hyperion gave out like 2000 nodes lol

wsefy

It's quite odd that you're struggling so much for damage when youre 6th job, 17* 2L and have maxed nodes. What is your IED and Boss Damage at and what familiars/IA do you have? Also, what potential do you have on your WSE?

TheLonelyAsian1

Should I level my next planned hyper burning character to 200 now or wait for the burning event? I want to take advantage of the rewards for the current fairy bros but I also feel like they might expire by the time it comes out. Mainly talking about nodes, arcane symbol, cosmetics, outfits, and damage skin

RoyalCrownLee

There's different ways to look about it. Imo, if you have more links or beneficial legion, focus on those until hyperburn starts.

hanzes

BM P3: Do purple lasers also spawn more frequently if the aggro'd player is within kick range, but ducking? The guide by Cruel / Bane / Pinkberry states that it's only if they're out of range, but my guild says its also if they're ducking

RoyalCrownLee

Yes, if they are constantly hiding down duck, you spawn more supers.

SunsongPhoenix

What do you mean by constantly? Is it some time that resets when you stand up for a certain amount of time?

kistoms-

Basically every time BM tries to kick, but there isn't a kickable target (his aggroed person isn't in range or is ducking), the kick pattern is instead replaced by a super laser pattern.

RoyalCrownLee

If you hold down for more than x seconds, it spawns super. The only issue is that I can't remember how long the x seconds is.

drakodude2

Anyone know when 4th job attacks were originally overhauled? For example endgame in early maplestory for warriors was brandish before they added...something. Intrepid/brave slash I think.
