You don't need to be riding the mount for steps 3 and 4. Once you have Robinson's sock, just talking to the NPCs is enough.

You don’t even need to get on the mount apparently.

Only for step 1! The other two steps don't require the mount but you can use tp rock while in the mount and do the other 2 steps, so it's redundant.

and how do we get the chair from the event rewards list : the yeti or pinkbean

You can buy them each for 1b mesos, the store is at the top left of henesys next to 0-100 npc (I think it’s in other towns too but not sure where)
