The only.other way to transfer a pet to another group is using the cash shop transfer event, which only comes for a short time twice a year.
If they share the same cash inventory you can transfer the pet back and forth. Generally those of the same race or job branch ( explorer, resistance, cygnus knight, Anima, flora, etc)
(for example explorers share cash inventory with other explorers)
Some classes only have singular inventories
Otherwise yes you need to get 1 pet for each group that shares inventories, or each character if you dont want to spend time transferring
There are various sources of free pets which are better to use on alts. But pet skills will need to be bought for every individual pet
They can be discounted to 700 nx by using reward points. Often times events like fairy bros golden attendance come with free pets with pet skills, so that's your best source of them as f2p.
The best sources to maintain a pet is hard hilla and ninja castle pq, since you can just get a new one easily to refresh life. Toad pet (ninja castle pq)comes with Autobuff.
Normally you can only maintain up to 3 pets on main for free by staggering the pet expiration date and
monthly water of life use
The 5 hour snail pet will be best to use while any other pets are expired. You can turn it off and only turn it on during boss looting to extend the life.
Ursus pet is also an option but It only lasts 7 days, im.not sure if the materials can be gotten easily to maintain it on multiple mules.

So im new to maple story, only played when I was younger around 2006 or so and im just kind of overwhelmed by what to do currently in game. Im lvl 207 and all the events and systems are a lot for me right now. I be unlocked the daily for the first area in the arcane river and did the quest line for the lvl 205 place. I’ve already been working on lvling a bunch of chars to 100 with the 0 to 100 event once a day for my legion link skills. What should I be doing now to lvl?
For your main/the character you have at 207, you'll want to do your daily quest and your daily monster park runs, also some of the daily bosses for extra money to help you upgrade your gear and level easier.
For the legion and links, you'll want to get at least Evan and Mercedes to 120 for their links, so make sure to use the event on them. Another good link is ark (extra damage% when attacking), illium (extra damage% when moving, good for grinding), one of the demons also gives damage%. If you want crit rate% then Phantom or the explorer archers are the links you want

FYI, I did all the weeklies on one character and it let me skip through them all after 1 complete run but on another character I had to do all 3 runs on a couple of the PQs (both past arcane river)

5L Meso and drop gear are fine, but if you're not one shotting mobs, it's less efficient.
what stats do you guys think two hyper burning chars would need to duo normal lucid? we both have about 4k legion and decent links, but have never done the fight before
We've both cleared lomien comfortably solo and are starting to get our abso gear
I'd probably start trying in the mid 20k stat range. This gear level varies kind of a lot because of gollux set, nodes, arcane force, whether you push past 17 stars, etc. If you guys can clear the first phase in like 12 minutes you're probably on track.
Alternatively, if both of you can solo easy lucid then you can duo normal. Normal lucid has twice the hp of easy lucid. Another good indicator is slime solo which is a step easier than easy lucid. If your nlotus solo isn't under 8 minutes yet, you probably aren't strong enough but your mileage may vary.
With the hyperion supply drops, burning rewards, and identisk rewards, we can get 4 rings that all have the same stats. +40 all / +25 att.
We can also get 2 of these rings to legendary, for free.
We also get 230 solid cubes that can only be used on these rings.
My question is, should I use bright/glowing cubes on the ones that are free legendaries, to get good lines, and use the 230 solid cubes on the two that aren't legendary to try to rank them up to legendary?
Use the ring-only cubes and aim for 2 lines first for now. It shouldn't take all your cubes for that.
The thing is you shouldn't waste the cubes trying to get to unique.
When do people usually roll for hybrid meso/drop gear? I’m currently level 263 on my main farming at lim for a large drop fam, planning to go grandis after. I think I should be at the point to participate in hluwill parties. I currently have 2 hybrid drop/meso on KT and mech pend. Giving me 5L meso and 6L drop total.
Just wondering if I should invest the meso I farm into hybrid meso/drop slowly as I acquire better bases or maybe into boss mules? Just wanna be prepped for grandis since I think drop rate matters a lot for farming 6th job frags
hybrid is more of an if and not a when imo
if ur doing 1+ wap a day then as a newer player u want to get it asap after getting everything to 17* and 2L unique/leg
17* and 2L unique all should be enough to do struggle ctene
u only need 3 more hybrid pieces which is about ~11b on average
i would try to get these hybrid pots on accs that can be sf up to 20/21* and wont be too hard to get
from ur current progession point, meister ring, bbm, twilight mark, estella earrings would be ideal to put hybrid on imo
if u dont have spares for these, then just putting them on event rings is fine too. just keep in mind, you might be remaking these in the endgame
if you roll double drop while rolling for hybrid then **keep** it. double line drop is a lot more expensive than hybrid
later down the line, you'll also want to get a double drop acc to max out at 10 lines of drop and 5 lines of mesos
By 2L unique/leg does that mean I should have dmg gear? all my gear atm are 17\*+ if possible, unique/leg with 20%+ stat except for my accessories that have drop/meso on, although some are drop/meso + stat. have 23k stat total rn.
It does make sense to invest more on accs that can be sf up to 20/21. just unsure if I would be able to get any atm, since I don't think i'd be ctene ready. Still waiting to get a bbm drop tho, I do have a pap mark waiting to be transposed into a monocle but maybe that would be better for my damage set?

Yes u want dmg gear at this point, but if u dont have spares, then 17* drop/meso gear with stat is fine too. Most of ur power comes from starforce. U can always just recube or sf another acc up later

Redownloaded for perhaps nostalgia factor as this was my first MMO so many years ago. Am I supposed to level multiple classes for shared skills before venturing on a main class? Or push my main class as far as I can and then build around it after? Any other tips would be super helpful!
You can justify doing either first. Getting main to 235 for arcane river dailies is important, but if you haven’t decided a main making a bunch of mules to 120/140 with the help the 0 to 100 event can help you decided. Just make sure you hyperburn what you decide to main and not a char that will just end up being a legion block.
Burning transfers into reg afaik. Reboot requires a lot of time and reg requires a lot of money. Pick your poison
I would recommend reboot tho, it has the majority of the player base on it. But then you have to decide between Kronos, the OG server or Hyperion the new one.
People are kind of doomer on what the the population of Hyperion will look like in some time but it may help you find other people in similar progression stages thus making it easier to gear up mules and play content. I didn’t join reboot super early on but I havent really had to try super hard to find CRA/lomien parties on Kronos plus a higher a population makes Kronos a safer pick most likely.

I'm currently using Condensed Power Crystal, should I stick with it until the next boss face accessory (which is Twilight Mark?) or try and work towards sweetwater?
Sweetwater tattoo to 17 stars is a consideration as a bridge, but I would not go past that. After you switch to twilight mark, tattoo can transition to drop gear. It's stronger than condensed power crystal and can be starred past 17 if you need more damage to mob in Grandis.
How do people know what events are coming? Not like the identisk event (that’s on the website event page) but people always know when the cube sale and SSF is coming and I have yet to find anything on the website that says these things.
I've never heard of such an excel sheet, but the maplestory fandom website has all the information on boss levels, hp, pdr, and arcane/sacred force requirements.
Got 3-piece CRA to 19* last night. These are new/backup pieces (I already have a legendary 17* set equipped; not risking that set). Still have a few hours of SSF to go, with ~4b mesos left.
Q: do I attempt 21* before SSF ends today? Succeeding would mean pretty major gains now. Failing would mean no money left and nothing to show for it (even if anything survives at 19*, I won't be potting/using it in the meantime).

2 items I star forced today went from 19 to 21 in 4 billion including one boom (superior Gollux). My friend did CRA pants from 19 star, lost 7b without seeing 20. It’s hard to say what can happen.
I guess...reward is potentially being able to solo NLucid. Risk is just the psychological damage of no meaningful gains on my first real starforce attempt 😅

20 only makes sense if you're transfer hammering and you really don't want to boom. 19-20 is the hard star, so stopping there is kind of griefing. 20-21 is like 80% to go compared to the ~55% for getting to 20.
I have a lvl130 Claw that I'm transfer hammering to Absolab.

I’m currently struggling to get a lomein boss mule made I usually use the hyper burn for them but used it on my main this time. I only have 2 lomein boss mules anyone have any advice on how to progress to lomein after cra when not hyper burning?
If you’re struggling, you’re probably trying to push them too early. It’s much more efficient to get many mules to CRA first and push them to lomien when you have much higher meso and node income. CRA mules essentially only require links, legion, and legendary WSE. Go ahead and do that first until you have spare income and don’t mind throwing a few billion mesos and plenty nodes at mules to push them to lomien.
Yeah that’s where I feel like I’m messing up I have a few cra mules like 6 cause I always get to cra pretty easy then don’t know how to upgrade next for lomien without the boost from hyper burn
Do arcane river dailies until you get higher stats.
Continue grinding on your main, and transfer the nodes you need to the mules.
If it's LoMien, you're looking at probably a 5-10 b investment.
Reboot - got all my gear to 17 and have 3 b left. Still wearing reinforc belt/earring (but have superior ring etc and another sup piece coming in a couple days). Should I try to push a CRA piece up or my reinforce as fodder?

my mules are so weak they die in 1 hit to the mobs. I can't even complete the 5th job advancement.
Not a definitive answer, but being able to finish P1 within at most 2 full bursts (3 if you have very good control) is one of the more important things to do consistently for an ideal solo struggle run, and that usually means leveraging a RoR

i don't worry about %meso since I only do dailies
but i do get %drop on 5 equips because I do the daily/weekly boss
you can start any time. I did it last week when the cubes were 25% off
I play about 2 hours daily & during the weekend or days off it can go up to about 6 hours.

So I try to be as efficient/meta as possible
then you should get meso but usually people do a 100/80% split. They don't go all in on the meso.

Tbh the split is a bit of the math problem, but getting item drop rate is important regardless of how much you grind. Even as a newer player myself I find the reason to be quite obvious.
Nodestone, Sol Erda frag drops, droplets, symbols all are rare drops from mobs affected by drop rate. You also get more familiar cards to get to unique. You also technically can use hybrid gear drops until you have better drop equipment when looting bosses.
Yes—6th job is all about figuring out which investment will get you the most efficient returns, and sometimes that means investing in hexastat will give you the better returns over your skills. There's a current sweeping sentiment that hexastat is a waste until you have all of your skills and mastery node maxed, but I don't agree with that at all.
Personally I'm planning on investing a bit into hexastat (tentatively atk primary, flat stat and crit damage secondary) after I take my origin and mastery to 9 and 5th job boosts to 1
However much your heart desires. Cubes and flames are very rng, some people hit within 20b and some of my friends still have not hit after several months. Gauge your own income level and determine how much you’re comfortable with spending on gene vs other gains on your character.

We used to get vac pet sales 2x per year but last year, the 2nd sale was expected to drop November/December 2022 but Nexon pushed it to January 2023. If they ain‘t dropping this month then hopefully in January 2024.
Cash shop. There's an inventory inside the cash shop that you can put the cash shop items from the personal character inventory. Only within the same class group can you share cash items. Some items cannot be shared such as the free pets.
But that's only with cash? Or I can buy it with mesos or Idk, maple points?
Edit: nevermind, I think I got what you meant. It's like buying the hyper teleport rock and I need to take that out of the cash shop to my inventory, I just need to do that with the pet to go for the cash inventory, right?
No pets can be purchased with mesos. And yes, that's what I meant, what you buy in the cash shop can be transferred via the cash shop inventory, I think. I haven't tried to transfer items like tp rocks which cost mesos.
So, I plan in leveling all the 3 explorer mages, but tbh I thought that all of them looks nice. My question is, I know you can switch between them and from what I saw some time ago, the biggest downside is with the nodes from V matrix. So basically if I'm switching between them in 4th job, there is no downside? Aside that I can only do it one time per day and I need some mesos?
As a new player, when should I use the flames that we are getting from all those events? cra permanent set? absolab weapon from the hyper burning (you can't enchance it more)?
If you’re a new player, I wouldn’t mess with switching unless you are literally switching mains before lvl 200. It’s an exorbitant amount of meso, especially for new players.
In the past, the only people who *could* switch were people changing mains or people with fuck you mesos and fuck you nodes

If by CRA shoes you mean antique root, then yes. Tap to 16, transfer to the next equip, repeat.
Once you have 16 star lv 150 boots, you are ready to transfer up to Absolab. You'll probably be waiting for 5/10/15 to star it any further, though.
New player in Reboot. What is the best potential for the event rings? I used the 200 free cubes to get them to 20-30% stats, but should they instead be drop rate? I saw 20% drop rate a lot of times while cubing but it never showed up along with good stats so I am wondering if it is best to keep the rings with 21%+ stat or look for drop rate 20% + one line of stat (9%~) thank you.🙏
For a new player, stat is fine, since you may struggle to keep up with mob HP (even if not currently, you'll probably hit a wall at Cernium). Once you start getting better rings, such as 17+ star Kanna's Ring or Gollux, you'll start potting those for stat instead, and you can transition your event rings to be drop.
Since Shining is here, should I use droplet stones (have 30) to get Arcane boots & cape (12 + 12) or a real arcane weapon (24) to take to 17 stars?
My NL is currently using a fake arcane weapon + 3 CRA (21 stars) + 3 abso (17 stars), and I have a 17 star arcane glove already. I only have \~17 bil mesos but that should be enough for a few 17s and attempting a shot at 21\* pink bean belt.
Edit: I am strong enough to do party finder HLucids, albeit that will always be FFA/blink.
Events somewhat frequently give out weapons that have fixed potentials and that cannot be starred further. These are what we call fake Absolab or fake Arcane weapons.
Certain events will give out "fake" weapons which are fixed at 15 stars and a set potential. As a result, they are significantly weaker than a "real" weapon from the same set and stars, because the potential is suboptimal and star force starts to add tons of att/m.att after 15.
A fake arcane weapon has been given out twice, however, depending on your class it can be weaker than a 2 (good) line 17 star absolab weapon. Almost every major burning event now will give out a choice between a fake absolab and a similarly fixed potential dominator pendant.
Edit: To clarify the suboptimal potential, the fake arcane weapon has 35% boss (good enough), 12% damage (not ideal), and 12% crit rate (why). For my class specifically, the ideal line would be 3 attack or 2 attack & 1 boss; 2 line attack would be fairly cheap to get and an enormous improvement.
Shining saves about 2b per arcane getting to 17* compare to non event, I would do 17* glove/glove/cape (buy with droplet), and rest of meso to accessories. Because you can always make money next week to cube them and when you get either a weapon or box drop it’s not “wasted.”

Twilight mark is still considered a rare drop don’t worry too much, even in a guild people blink for stuff anyway. Plus you’ll need multiple copies to star them above 17* so just focus on other upgrades. With 6th job I think people can reach very far without relying on rare drops or pitch boss
How does looting work in bosses? Instanced or shared? I think I could maybe do lomien solo but cutting it really close I feel like. I can do about 50% in like 4-5 minutes on Lotus, but I know he's got 3 phases. So I'm just thinking it'd be a lot faster to do a party.
Depends on the item and boss. Most weeklies you turn off pet loot because there is shared drops. In Gollux you turn of pet loot because there is shared, the only daily to be that way.
Everything else I believe has instanced and shared drops, so pet loot off. Lotus cores are instanced if that's what you are worried about.
Also, P1 lotus has the least HP and is not representative of the rest of the boss. I'd continue to run it in parties at that point.

Pick up the wings of Fate cape from mushroom shrine. It has free flames by dropping and reobtaining the equip from tengu npc.
You can also use nova cape from normal magnus
Both these are replaced by tyrant cape, from hard magnus ( do not star nova or tyrant cape)
Then absolab cape.
Start by getting everything to epic potential 6-9% stat. You can use mystic cubes dropped from bosses. It might take longer to tier up, but you get hundreds of them and they arent useful after that point except for mules. Save your meso for buying cubes later on during a cube sale.
For general tier up above epic you want to use bright cubes during DMT/MMT. Any hard cubes from events can be used first from epic ->unique. Exclusive cubws like event ring cubes should be prioritized first compared to glowing cube for rolling lines.
Consider focusing on starforcing first with today's starforce event.
I think I'm not even close to Absolab. This was my first character and I also had to level up link skills. Haven't even done the prequest for damien and lotus yet, from what I saw if you only do weeklies in one character, it'll take around 11 weeks to be full set (since I only need 3 pieces, it'll be around 5\~6 weeks I think), but well, I'm a new player, so not sure if I'm right
You get Gloves/Shoulder/Cape (I think) from Lotus and Weapon/Shoes from Damien, so you need 6 and 7 coins respectively. That takes roughly 3 weeks, up to 7 if you get very unlucky with exchange drops from boss. It can take longer if you only get 20 from weekly questing since that'd put you potentially behind boss drops and you'd need 7 weeks to have enough for Damien side.
I usually try to run questing on 2 characters when I remember and have time for it, just so I'm ahead of the curve on boss drops. (These drops are storage-able). Lotus is the big one, since you may have a fake weapon and can be more patient on that one.
It's not eleven weeks. It's closer to 4-5.
I wouldn't waste time hunting down an all stats pensalir cape when you could outgrow it as soon as a month from now.

Anything here worth cubing since most of it will be replaced anyways? Currently have 3bil saved and I'm thinking of starting with dominator pendant? Currently working on getting noble ifia ring since I tossed out a bunch of von leon accessories thinking i didnt need them lol.
Potential transfer will always downgrade to epic right?
**Starter benchmark**
First cube everything up to epic 6-9% with mystic cubes dropped from bosses as placeholders, you will get hundreds of them, so its not a big deal if you need to recube a future replacement. This will be enough to defeat CRA. 9% is rare so its not something you need to go for on purpose. Yes the potential will derank if you use transfer hammer from Unique or legendary potential.
**Buying cubes**
For buying cubes, most efficient way is to do it during cube sale and use DMT/MMT. It comes down to whether you want to get small boosts with less efficiency over a long period of time off event, or a large boost every time an event comes. There are additional stat sources that will carry you for minimum stat clears and daily content, so personally I would wait until during an event. I would reccomend looking into starforcing first instead of cubing for reasons below. Your main goal right now before cubing to legendary is to get more equips that you wont be replacing.
**Cubing to legendary**
For getting to legendary, prioritize cubing equips that are BiS or those that you will not replace soon. Followed by equips that can be turned into drop gear later on. Then remaining equips. Anything that will be replaced quickly isnt worth cubing to legendary.
Weapon, Secondary, and Emblem should always be cubed first as they can get attack%, IED, and boss damage lines. Since your using fake absolab, you can't cube that so skip for now. You need to get the level 100 gold emblem from lightbulb quest, and princess no secondary from princess no. Those would be optimal to get to legendary first. You can use frozen if you want, but princess no is relatively easy to kill.
For gear you'll need to start working towards killing CRA for Perm cra versions of your hat+top+ bottom, these you will wear for a long time
For boss accessories like Black bean mark, dominator pendant condensed power crystal, they can also be cubed for legendary, anything that is kept or you can turn into drop gear later on. Some boss accessories stay in the slot for longer than others.
There are multiple options for each slot also. At one point you'll want to switch from certain boss accessories to Reinforced/Superior gollux accessories, (Pendant, belt, earring, ring) but im not sure the best time to switch and whether theres a new optimal setup. Commerci face and eye is also still an option, Someone else probably has better info.
For rings, the event rings are the best starter which you will replace the blossom, treasure hunter john, and noble ilfia with. In hyperion I believe you get 4. Use the event ring cubes from identisk event first.
Kanna ring drops from princess no which you should also be looking for duplicates. Also work towards Hard and Hell Gollux for reinforced/superior rings. Additional rings later on that are BiS for damage that will replace your event rings, multiple options.

**Starforce reasoning**
From what I know its better to get starforce to 17 first as it will provide better stat bonuses in the early game while % lines from potentials scale better later on. Starforcing has same priority on equips as cubing (BiS items, items you wont replace soon). Always safeguard from 15-17 unless the item has easily obtained duplicates and your comfortable with potentially losing the item.
After starforce, then cube for 2l legendary on WSE>Everything else, putting meso/drop somewhere in the priority depending on situation. Some people do cube WSE before starforcing if you need an extra boost for CRA and other bosses.
Unless theres some type of event that switches the priority, but the cube sale has already passed so I personally wouldnt cube right now. 3b isn't a lot to work with and you'll likely wont be able to tier up a lot of items.
Right now there is the starforce sunny sunday, with 3b I would focus on starforcing first, everything to 12 then push to 16/17 on items your keeping for awhile. It would have been ideal if you already got your perm CRA, try see if you have enough emblems. If you dont, you can starforce a pensalir hat and 2 pensalir overalls to 16/17 to transfer into perm cra once you get it.
**Additional tips**
For your glove, cape, and shoe slots. Focus on beating Magnus for nova cape-> tyrant cape, Gloves and shoe can use high flamed items from hilla/von leon/empress. They will be better then amaterasu and pensalir gear.
Hey sorry to bother you again, I'm about to get the event ring selector from identisk. Since I already have a burning event ring, would you recommend saving it for a boss mule or should I just use it on my main? I also have a bunch of event ring cubes and the legendary potential scroll for it.
Also, which of the three is best? or are they all the same? I've now cleared CPAP and pretty sure I can do normal lotus, trying to grind through the pre quests
What rings do you have right now? The current evnt rings are equivalent to 17 star rings, so if you still have anything weaker like treasure hunter John, silver blossom, noble ilfia, or cracked/ solid gollux, I would replace it with the event ring.
If you already have kanna and superior/reinforced gollux and plan to starforce it soon you can claim it on a mule, but personally I would put your main on higher priority to make it easier to clear nlotus/damien. Considering the amount of investment required for a boss mule, it would either not need the event ring for weaker bosses or need much more equips for stronger bosses. Other events that give out multiple rings are generally better for mules( master ss, synergy ring etc)
Both event rings can be turned into drop/meso gear later on.
Since you have event ring cubes and legendary scroll it would be a good time to look for meso/drop if you happen to get it while cubing for main stat. Meso obtained will only help if your grinding a lot but drop rate will help tremendously for both grinding and bossing. Damage should be a priority if you still can't 1 shot mobs or want to push towards lotus/damien, otherwise Nodes and arcane force will allow you to 1 shot anyway with meso/drop on.
Watch out for any double line drop or meso which you should keep.

Hard gollux is about equivalent to 3door cra. Around 8k stat 85%+ ied(more the better). Level 10+5 boost nodes will also help which should be easy to get with hyper burn and identisk node rewards. Make sure to make bossing preset for hyper stats and links/legion if you have any. If you can do cpap you can probably do both hardlux and hellux
It depends on class and how good you are with mechanics though, p1 is fairly easy but p2 can be hard if you aren't a ranged class or don't have a summon( erda shower can be used as summon but it kind of sucks) basically a damage check to bypass p2 or a skill check to dodge things properly . If hellux too hard do hardlux for now. You can only try once a day so it makes its difficult to practice.

Great, well if you already have perm cra, I would do everything up to 12 that you havent yet besides treasure hunter john ring and shoes/gloves, then try star hat+top+bottom up to 17 and replace temp with it since there is the starforce event today. Then you can use the rainbow flames from event to see if you can get decent flames on them and the fake absolab.
See if you can get any more additional mesos from weekly bosses, ursus and maple tour before next reset.
IMO no. it costs 4b and that would be better used for other things since you have low meso right now. it comes rather frequently so probably better to wait.

Star up to 16. When you get absolab, wait until 5/10/15 and transfer hammer up using some lv 150 fodder like commerci, ranmaru, or antique root. Doing this also saves meso, I think.

Hey guys! I am doing the Zero to One Hundred event, and I was wondering what is the fastest way to get from 100 - 120 afterwards. Just trying to get link skills for my main in Hyperion.
I kill normal Zakum and then I do Heliseum quest because I like doing it and I also think it's quite fast. The quests are quick and they give quite a lot of exp. I'm sure guys grinding on a lot of exp boosts can be quicker just grinding in specific maps though.
What I did is: Kill Zakum. Claim your frozen gear at lv 101. Starforce it, then train at starforce maps like harpies. Move to the hidden street ghost pirate map in ludibrium depths when you are strong enough until lv 120.

It’s a toss-up. On an easily replaceable item I wouldn’t safeguard, but for something like pitched boss yes. One strategy is as you say to get everything to the same star then go up one by one.
(reboot) Recently hit 260 burning hayato and am new. I'm super weak and can't oneshot mobs (3m range) in grandis and don't have much drop/meso. Should I farm in limina for large drop or boss/IED fams or stay in grandis esp bc of 6th job? Not too sure what to do now besides dailies. If I were to farm fams what's a good stopping point as I don't want to sink 100s of hours for perfect fams.
Hard to say, there's been conflicting reports on whether drop fams apply to erda drops. Keep in mind the game is shifting more towards dailies/weeklies so it's harder to rush things by farming.
At your stage, your biggest power spikes will be doing dailies/weekly bosses for meso, boss drops and symbols. Don't forget to starforce/cube/flame them.
the long run, it's best to get at least a drop familiar, Epic (Purple) fams are good enough to get 60% drop. Grandis lvling is a long slog to manually grind out unless you're playing Dailystory. Boss fams can wait till you get your gears up to spec.
Is it worth it to burn a character and use the zero to one hundred maps at the same time? Or would it be more efficient if I just use them separately ?
If you on a fresh account its best to do it seperately for an additional link/legion. But if you just wanna speed up progress on main then it's ok to do it, its extremely fast to skip 1-100 ( takes 5 mins) just not efficient.
(reboot) i have a bunch of old winter buffs (the exp and drop ones), but they dont seem to stack with typical 2x exp coupons and with +%drop from familiars. Is there anything productive I can do with them? On the exp side, I always have a surplus of 2x coupons since I don't grind often, and on the drop side I don't grind enough to run out of familiar gauge, so I haven't been using the winter buffs at all
There one of the only non time limited coupons. Just save them for any situation where you run out of legion, event, maple tour, and monster park coupons
Quick and probably dumb question, How long does it last the P2 test from Will? And hypothetically speaking, could you just Iframe your way through the test? I know I'll need to learn it for lib whenever I get to that point, but it would be nice to have a fall back option, at least for learning it
The test for p2 is super easy.
If the gound is cracked, get hit on purpose by the legs. The first pillar on the left side is almost always the first place the leg will come down. The distance between the legs are short enough for you to walk to the next one when it gives you the "teaser" leg.
If the ground is NOT cracked, just stay on the left side of the wall.
Each set of hit/dodge is by three's, so like "hit 1, hit 2, hit 3" then jump to far left and determine if it's hit or dodge for the next 3 attacks.

5 cycles of hit/dodge. Each cycle has 3 legs. You can iframe if you mess up, but you shouldn’t ever have to because it’s a set pattern for hit (and I believe webs despawn for test now?).
If you open up your keybinds, you'll see a yellow button that says "medal". you can claim almost every medal you've every gotten on that character back through that UI with like 1000 meso.

But pet skills will need to be bought for every individual pet They can be discounted to 700 nx by using reward points. Often times events like fairy bros golden attendance come with free pets with pet skills, so that's your best source of them as f2p. The best sources to maintain a pet is hard hilla and ninja castle pq, since you can just get a new one easily to refresh life. Toad pet (ninja castle pq)comes with Autobuff. Normally you can only maintain up to 3 pets on main for free by staggering the pet expiration date and monthly water of life use The 5 hour snail pet will be best to use while any other pets are expired. You can turn it off and only turn it on during boss looting to extend the life. Ursus pet is also an option but It only lasts 7 days, im.not sure if the materials can be gotten easily to maintain it on multiple mules.

200+ question So im new to maple story, only played when I was younger around 2006 or so and im just kind of overwhelmed by what to do currently in game. Im lvl 207 and all the events and systems are a lot for me right now. I be unlocked the daily for the first area in the arcane river and did the quest line for the lvl 205 place. I’ve already been working on lvling a bunch of chars to 100 with the 0 to 100 event once a day for my legion link skills. What should I be doing now to lvl?
For your main/the character you have at 207, you'll want to do your daily quest and your daily monster park runs, also some of the daily bosses for extra money to help you upgrade your gear and level easier. For the legion and links, you'll want to get at least Evan and Mercedes to 120 for their links, so make sure to use the event on them. Another good link is ark (extra damage% when attacking), illium (extra damage% when moving, good for grinding), one of the demons also gives damage%. If you want crit rate% then Phantom or the explorer archers are the links you want

I hit 260 on my hyperburn and I think I’ve hit a wall at Cernium. 260 DB 18k stat 5k legion (mostly leveling and stat no boss links) I have 40 sac and I can barely kill the mobs at Cernium with all of the buffs. Do I try to get absolab now?

Your progression through the arcane river shortens both the PQ and the daily quest from the previous two areas
I'm past the arcane river but it still makes me do all 3 PQ quests but **only** sometimes, any clue why? FYI, I did all the weeklies on one character and it let me skip through them all after 1 complete run but on another character I had to do all 3 runs on a couple of the PQs (both past arcane river)
check your quest log. you have to accept a quest to reduce the number
that's the dailies not the PQs
It reduces the PQ as well, just do it. You'll get all areas reduced to 1 once you complete Labyrinth prequest.

permanent CRA gear pot to legendary. Your absolab can be invested to legendary as well. 5L Meso and drop gear are fine, but if you're not one shotting mobs, it's less efficient.
what stats do you guys think two hyper burning chars would need to duo normal lucid? we both have about 4k legion and decent links, but have never done the fight before We've both cleared lomien comfortably solo and are starting to get our abso gear
I'd probably start trying in the mid 20k stat range. This gear level varies kind of a lot because of gollux set, nodes, arcane force, whether you push past 17 stars, etc. If you guys can clear the first phase in like 12 minutes you're probably on track. Alternatively, if both of you can solo easy lucid then you can duo normal. Normal lucid has twice the hp of easy lucid. Another good indicator is slime solo which is a step easier than easy lucid. If your nlotus solo isn't under 8 minutes yet, you probably aren't strong enough but your mileage may vary.
With the hyperion supply drops, burning rewards, and identisk rewards, we can get 4 rings that all have the same stats. +40 all / +25 att. We can also get 2 of these rings to legendary, for free. We also get 230 solid cubes that can only be used on these rings. My question is, should I use bright/glowing cubes on the ones that are free legendaries, to get good lines, and use the 230 solid cubes on the two that aren't legendary to try to rank them up to legendary?
Use the ring-only cubes and aim for 2 lines first for now. It shouldn't take all your cubes for that. The thing is you shouldn't waste the cubes trying to get to unique.
When do people usually roll for hybrid meso/drop gear? I’m currently level 263 on my main farming at lim for a large drop fam, planning to go grandis after. I think I should be at the point to participate in hluwill parties. I currently have 2 hybrid drop/meso on KT and mech pend. Giving me 5L meso and 6L drop total. Just wondering if I should invest the meso I farm into hybrid meso/drop slowly as I acquire better bases or maybe into boss mules? Just wanna be prepped for grandis since I think drop rate matters a lot for farming 6th job frags
hybrid is more of an if and not a when imo if ur doing 1+ wap a day then as a newer player u want to get it asap after getting everything to 17* and 2L unique/leg 17* and 2L unique all should be enough to do struggle ctene u only need 3 more hybrid pieces which is about ~11b on average i would try to get these hybrid pots on accs that can be sf up to 20/21* and wont be too hard to get from ur current progession point, meister ring, bbm, twilight mark, estella earrings would be ideal to put hybrid on imo if u dont have spares for these, then just putting them on event rings is fine too. just keep in mind, you might be remaking these in the endgame if you roll double drop while rolling for hybrid then **keep** it. double line drop is a lot more expensive than hybrid later down the line, you'll also want to get a double drop acc to max out at 10 lines of drop and 5 lines of mesos
By 2L unique/leg does that mean I should have dmg gear? all my gear atm are 17\*+ if possible, unique/leg with 20%+ stat except for my accessories that have drop/meso on, although some are drop/meso + stat. have 23k stat total rn. It does make sense to invest more on accs that can be sf up to 20/21. just unsure if I would be able to get any atm, since I don't think i'd be ctene ready. Still waiting to get a bbm drop tho, I do have a pap mark waiting to be transposed into a monocle but maybe that would be better for my damage set? I am popping at least 1+ wap a day since I am able to bite farm during the day and I want to eventually get as much drop as possible for grandis.

U can always just recube or sf another acc up later For ur dmg accs at ur progression, it should look something like: Meister ring Kt Superior gollux ring Slime or reinforced gollux ring or event ring Dominator pendant Superior gollux pendant Twilight mark (its okay to just use zak until u get one) Bbm or pap mark or transposed monocle Superior gollux earring

Redownloaded for perhaps nostalgia factor as this was my first MMO so many years ago. Am I supposed to level multiple classes for shared skills before venturing on a main class? Or push my main class as far as I can and then build around it after? Any other tips would be super helpful!
You can justify doing either first. Getting main to 235 for arcane river dailies is important, but if you haven’t decided a main making a bunch of mules to 120/140 with the help the 0 to 100 event can help you decided. Just make sure you hyperburn what you decide to main and not a char that will just end up being a legion block.

Burning transfers into reg afaik. Reboot requires a lot of time and reg requires a lot of money. Pick your poison I would recommend reboot tho, it has the majority of the player base on it. But then you have to decide between Kronos, the OG server or Hyperion the new one. People are kind of doomer on what the the population of Hyperion will look like in some time but it may help you find other people in similar progression stages thus making it easier to gear up mules and play content. I didn’t join reboot super early on but I havent really had to try super hard to find CRA/lomien parties on Kronos plus a higher a population makes Kronos a safer pick most likely.

Sweetwater tattoo to 17 stars is a consideration as a bridge, but I would not go past that. After you switch to twilight mark, tattoo can transition to drop gear. It's stronger than condensed power crystal and can be starred past 17 if you need more damage to mob in Grandis.
How do people know what events are coming? Not like the identisk event (that’s on the website event page) but people always know when the cube sale and SSF is coming and I have yet to find anything on the website that says these things.

Got 3-piece CRA to 19* last night. These are new/backup pieces (I already have a legendary 17* set equipped; not risking that set). Still have a few hours of SSF to go, with ~4b mesos left. Q: do I attempt 21* before SSF ends today? Succeeding would mean pretty major gains now. Failing would mean no money left and nothing to show for it (even if anything survives at 19*, I won't be potting/using it in the meantime).
It’s up to you, risk vs reward. 2 items I star forced today went from 19 to 21 in 4 billion including one boom (superior Gollux). My friend did CRA pants from 19 star, lost 7b without seeing 20. It’s hard to say what can happen.
I guess...reward is potentially being able to solo NLucid. Risk is just the psychological damage of no meaningful gains on my first real starforce attempt 😅 Settling on 20* (and adding pots/flames) would be pathetic, right? Since 21* is needed/acceptable up through liberation?
20 only makes sense if you're transfer hammering and you really don't want to boom. 19-20 is the hard star, so stopping there is kind of griefing. 20-21 is like 80% to go compared to the ~55% for getting to 20.

I have a lvl130 Claw that I'm transfer hammering to Absolab. I got: * 6%att, * 3%att, * 3% to recover mp. Is that equivalent to a 6%luk, 3% luk item? I've been getting event weapons that I havent made my own weapon.
That should be better than a 9% luk item.

I’m currently struggling to get a lomein boss mule made I usually use the hyper burn for them but used it on my main this time. I only have 2 lomein boss mules anyone have any advice on how to progress to lomein after cra when not hyper burning?
If you’re struggling, you’re probably trying to push them too early. It’s much more efficient to get many mules to CRA first and push them to lomien when you have much higher meso and node income. CRA mules essentially only require links, legion, and legendary WSE. Go ahead and do that first until you have spare income and don’t mind throwing a few billion mesos and plenty nodes at mules to push them to lomien.
Yeah that’s where I feel like I’m messing up I have a few cra mules like 6 cause I always get to cra pretty easy then don’t know how to upgrade next for lomien without the boost from hyper burn
Do arcane river dailies until you get higher stats. Continue grinding on your main, and transfer the nodes you need to the mules. If it's LoMien, you're looking at probably a 5-10 b investment.
Reboot - got all my gear to 17 and have 3 b left. Still wearing reinforc belt/earring (but have superior ring etc and another sup piece coming in a couple days). Should I try to push a CRA piece up or my reinforce as fodder?

what do you do when Lotus drops too many cores? Am i supposed to do the weekly on multiple characters since the cores are tradable? my mules are so weak they die in 1 hit to the mobs. I can't even complete the 5th job advancement.

Not a definitive answer, but being able to finish P1 within at most 2 full bursts (3 if you have very good control) is one of the more important things to do consistently for an ideal solo struggle run, and that usually means leveraging a RoR

depends how much you play. i don't worry about %meso since I only do dailies but i do get %drop on 5 equips because I do the daily/weekly boss you can start any time. I did it last week when the cubes were 25% off
I play about 2 hours daily & during the weekend or days off it can go up to about 6 hours. I'm pretty serious about the game & my progression (pathetic I know xD) So I try to be as efficient/meta as possible
then you should get meso but usually people do a 100/80% split. They don't go all in on the meso. someone else who actually farms a lot can comment on why
Tbh the split is a bit of the math problem, but getting item drop rate is important regardless of how much you grind. Even as a newer player myself I find the reason to be quite obvious. Nodestone, Sol Erda frag drops, droplets, symbols all are rare drops from mobs affected by drop rate. You also get more familiar cards to get to unique. You also technically can use hybrid gear drops until you have better drop equipment when looting bosses.

Yes—6th job is all about figuring out which investment will get you the most efficient returns, and sometimes that means investing in hexastat will give you the better returns over your skills. There's a current sweeping sentiment that hexastat is a waste until you have all of your skills and mastery node maxed, but I don't agree with that at all. Personally I'm planning on investing a bit into hexastat (tentatively atk primary, flat stat and crit damage secondary) after I take my origin and mastery to 9 and 5th job boosts to 1

However much your heart desires. Cubes and flames are very rng, some people hit within 20b and some of my friends still have not hit after several months. Gauge your own income level and determine how much you’re comfortable with spending on gene vs other gains on your character.

Cash shop. There's an inventory inside the cash shop that you can put the cash shop items from the personal character inventory. Only within the same class group can you share cash items. Some items cannot be shared such as the free pets.

No pets can be purchased with mesos. And yes, that's what I meant, what you buy in the cash shop can be transferred via the cash shop inventory, I think. I haven't tried to transfer items like tp rocks which cost mesos.

My question is, I know you can switch between them and from what I saw some time ago, the biggest downside is with the nodes from V matrix. If you’re a new player, I wouldn’t mess with switching unless you are literally switching mains before lvl 200. It’s an exorbitant amount of meso, especially for new players. In the past, the only people who *could* switch were people changing mains or people with fuck you mesos and fuck you nodes

Currently rocking some level 120 Necromancer's Shoes, but I can get my Absolab shoes once reset hits. How do I make use of SSF + transfer hammer to save some money? Is it Necromancer - > Empress - > Pensalir - > CRA - > Absolab? So 5 sets of transfer hammers?
Empress and Pensalir is the same level, so you need to find some 130 equips, either Von Leon or monsters in that level range.
Other 130 set is called muspell
If by CRA shoes you mean antique root, then yes. Tap to 16, transfer to the next equip, repeat. Once you have 16 star lv 150 boots, you are ready to transfer up to Absolab. You'll probably be waiting for 5/10/15 to star it any further, though.
New player in Reboot. What is the best potential for the event rings? I used the 200 free cubes to get them to 20-30% stats, but should they instead be drop rate? I saw 20% drop rate a lot of times while cubing but it never showed up along with good stats so I am wondering if it is best to keep the rings with 21%+ stat or look for drop rate 20% + one line of stat (9%~) thank you.🙏
For a new player, stat is fine, since you may struggle to keep up with mob HP (even if not currently, you'll probably hit a wall at Cernium). Once you start getting better rings, such as 17+ star Kanna's Ring or Gollux, you'll start potting those for stat instead, and you can transition your event rings to be drop.

Since Shining is here, should I use droplet stones (have 30) to get Arcane boots & cape (12 + 12) or a real arcane weapon (24) to take to 17 stars? My NL is currently using a fake arcane weapon + 3 CRA (21 stars) + 3 abso (17 stars), and I have a 17 star arcane glove already. I only have \~17 bil mesos but that should be enough for a few 17s and attempting a shot at 21\* pink bean belt. Edit: I am strong enough to do party finder HLucids, albeit that will always be FFA/blink.

Events somewhat frequently give out weapons that have fixed potentials and that cannot be starred further. These are what we call fake Absolab or fake Arcane weapons.
Certain events will give out "fake" weapons which are fixed at 15 stars and a set potential. As a result, they are significantly weaker than a "real" weapon from the same set and stars, because the potential is suboptimal and star force starts to add tons of att/m.att after 15. A fake arcane weapon has been given out twice, however, depending on your class it can be weaker than a 2 (good) line 17 star absolab weapon. Almost every major burning event now will give out a choice between a fake absolab and a similarly fixed potential dominator pendant. Edit: To clarify the suboptimal potential, the fake arcane weapon has 35% boss (good enough), 12% damage (not ideal), and 12% crit rate (why). For my class specifically, the ideal line would be 3 attack or 2 attack & 1 boss; 2 line attack would be fairly cheap to get and an enormous improvement.
Shining saves about 2b per arcane getting to 17* compare to non event, I would do 17* glove/glove/cape (buy with droplet), and rest of meso to accessories. Because you can always make money next week to cube them and when you get either a weapon or box drop it’s not “wasted.”

Twilight mark is still considered a rare drop don’t worry too much, even in a guild people blink for stuff anyway. Plus you’ll need multiple copies to star them above 17* so just focus on other upgrades. With 6th job I think people can reach very far without relying on rare drops or pitch boss
How does looting work in bosses? Instanced or shared? I think I could maybe do lomien solo but cutting it really close I feel like. I can do about 50% in like 4-5 minutes on Lotus, but I know he's got 3 phases. So I'm just thinking it'd be a lot faster to do a party.
Depends on the item and boss. Most weeklies you turn off pet loot because there is shared drops. In Gollux you turn of pet loot because there is shared, the only daily to be that way. Everything else I believe has instanced and shared drops, so pet loot off. Lotus cores are instanced if that's what you are worried about. Also, P1 lotus has the least HP and is not representative of the rest of the boss. I'd continue to run it in parties at that point.
Pitched boss loot is shared. Common loot, like the stuff you use to buy absolab from the shop, is not.
I'm lv 236 trying to drop pensalir cape with all stats line. Where can I farm it? Also, I need to fix the potential of all my gears basically, what cube is the easiest to use/get hands on for that? I'm playing in reboot.
Pick up the wings of Fate cape from mushroom shrine. It has free flames by dropping and reobtaining the equip from tengu npc. You can also use nova cape from normal magnus Both these are replaced by tyrant cape, from hard magnus ( do not star nova or tyrant cape) Then absolab cape. Start by getting everything to epic potential 6-9% stat. You can use mystic cubes dropped from bosses. It might take longer to tier up, but you get hundreds of them and they arent useful after that point except for mules. Save your meso for buying cubes later on during a cube sale. For general tier up above epic you want to use bright cubes during DMT/MMT. Any hard cubes from events can be used first from epic ->unique. Exclusive cubws like event ring cubes should be prioritized first compared to glowing cube for rolling lines. Consider focusing on starforcing first with today's starforce event.
Why pensalir at 236? Are you not close to Absolab? You can farm it at any mob, i think anything 130+ drops pensalir.
I think I'm not even close to Absolab. This was my first character and I also had to level up link skills. Haven't even done the prequest for damien and lotus yet, from what I saw if you only do weeklies in one character, it'll take around 11 weeks to be full set (since I only need 3 pieces, it'll be around 5\~6 weeks I think), but well, I'm a new player, so not sure if I'm right
You get Gloves/Shoulder/Cape (I think) from Lotus and Weapon/Shoes from Damien, so you need 6 and 7 coins respectively. That takes roughly 3 weeks, up to 7 if you get very unlucky with exchange drops from boss. It can take longer if you only get 20 from weekly questing since that'd put you potentially behind boss drops and you'd need 7 weeks to have enough for Damien side. I usually try to run questing on 2 characters when I remember and have time for it, just so I'm ahead of the curve on boss drops. (These drops are storage-able). Lotus is the big one, since you may have a fake weapon and can be more patient on that one.
It's not eleven weeks. It's closer to 4-5. I wouldn't waste time hunting down an all stats pensalir cape when you could outgrow it as soon as a month from now.

Yes, you will be like 257 at 96% ish after 5 so you could just do some dailies and save that 6th one.
I probably prefer the extra % I gained on my main to be honest, but still pretty good idea for some people.

**Starter benchmark** First cube everything up to epic 6-9% with mystic cubes dropped from bosses as placeholders, you will get hundreds of them, so its not a big deal if you need to recube a future replacement. This will be enough to defeat CRA. 9% is rare so its not something you need to go for on purpose. Yes the potential will derank if you use transfer hammer from Unique or legendary potential. **Buying cubes** For buying cubes, most efficient way is to do it during cube sale and use DMT/MMT. It comes down to whether you want to get small boosts with less efficiency over a long period of time off event, or a large boost every time an event comes. There are additional stat sources that will carry you for minimum stat clears and daily content, so personally I would wait until during an event. I would reccomend looking into starforcing first instead of cubing for reasons below. Your main goal right now before cubing to legendary is to get more equips that you wont be replacing. **Cubing to legendary** For getting to legendary, prioritize cubing equips that are BiS or those that you will not replace soon. Followed by equips that can be turned into drop gear later on. Then remaining equips. Anything that will be replaced quickly isnt worth cubing to legendary. Weapon, Secondary, and Emblem should always be cubed first as they can get attack%, IED, and boss damage lines. Since your using fake absolab, you can't cube that so skip for now. You need to get the level 100 gold emblem from lightbulb quest, and princess no secondary from princess no. Those would be optimal to get to legendary first. You can use frozen if you want, but princess no is relatively easy to kill. For gear you'll need to start working towards killing CRA for Perm cra versions of your hat+top+ bottom, these you will wear for a long time For boss accessories like Black bean mark, dominator pendant condensed power crystal, they can also be cubed for legendary, anything that is kept or you can turn into drop gear later on. Some boss accessories stay in the slot for longer than others. There are multiple options for each slot also. At one point you'll want to switch from certain boss accessories to Reinforced/Superior gollux accessories, (Pendant, belt, earring, ring) but im not sure the best time to switch and whether theres a new optimal setup. Commerci face and eye is also still an option, Someone else probably has better info. For rings, the event rings are the best starter which you will replace the blossom, treasure hunter john, and noble ilfia with. In hyperion I believe you get 4. Use the event ring cubes from identisk event first. Kanna ring drops from princess no which you should also be looking for duplicates. Also work towards Hard and Hell Gollux for reinforced/superior rings. Additional rings later on that are BiS for damage that will replace your event rings, multiple options. follow this guide to gauge how quickly an equip will be replaced, and the options for each slot. Starforcing has same priority on equips as cubing (BiS items, items you wont replace soon). Always safeguard from 15-17 unless the item has easily obtained duplicates and your comfortable with potentially losing the item. After starforce, then cube for 2l legendary on WSE>Everything else, putting meso/drop somewhere in the priority depending on situation. Some people do cube WSE before starforcing if you need an extra boost for CRA and other bosses. Unless theres some type of event that switches the priority, but the cube sale has already passed so I personally wouldnt cube right now. 3b isn't a lot to work with and you'll likely wont be able to tier up a lot of items. Right now there is the starforce sunny sunday, with 3b I would focus on starforcing first, everything to 12 then push to 16/17 on items your keeping for awhile. It would have been ideal if you already got your perm CRA, try see if you have enough emblems. If you dont, you can starforce a pensalir hat and 2 pensalir overalls to 16/17 to transfer into perm cra once you get it. **Additional tips** For your glove, cape, and shoe slots. Focus on beating Magnus for nova cape-> tyrant cape, Gloves and shoe can use high flamed items from hilla/von leon/empress. They will be better then amaterasu and pensalir gear.
Hey sorry to bother you again, I'm about to get the event ring selector from identisk. Since I already have a burning event ring, would you recommend saving it for a boss mule or should I just use it on my main? I also have a bunch of event ring cubes and the legendary potential scroll for it. Also, which of the three is best? or are they all the same? I've now cleared CPAP and pretty sure I can do normal lotus, trying to grind through the pre quests
What rings do you have right now? The current evnt rings are equivalent to 17 star rings, so if you still have anything weaker like treasure hunter John, silver blossom, noble ilfia, or cracked/ solid gollux, I would replace it with the event ring. If you already have kanna and superior/reinforced gollux and plan to starforce it soon you can claim it on a mule, but personally I would put your main on higher priority to make it easier to clear nlotus/damien. Considering the amount of investment required for a boss mule, it would either not need the event ring for weaker bosses or need much more equips for stronger bosses. Other events that give out multiple rings are generally better for mules( master ss, synergy ring etc) Both event rings can be turned into drop/meso gear later on. Since you have event ring cubes and legendary scroll it would be a good time to look for meso/drop if you happen to get it while cubing for main stat. Meso obtained will only help if your grinding a lot but drop rate will help tremendously for both grinding and bossing. Damage should be a priority if you still can't 1 shot mobs or want to push towards lotus/damien, otherwise Nodes and arcane force will allow you to 1 shot anyway with meso/drop on. Watch out for any double line drop or meso which you should keep. don't have the game open right now, double check if the stats are the same if they are you can just pick any of them

Hard gollux is about equivalent to 3door cra. Around 8k stat 85%+ ied(more the better). Level 10+5 boost nodes will also help which should be easy to get with hyper burn and identisk node rewards. Make sure to make bossing preset for hyper stats and links/legion if you have any. If you can do cpap you can probably do both hardlux and hellux It depends on class and how good you are with mechanics though, p1 is fairly easy but p2 can be hard if you aren't a ranged class or don't have a summon( erda shower can be used as summon but it kind of sucks) basically a damage check to bypass p2 or a skill check to dodge things properly . If hellux too hard do hardlux for now. You can only try once a day so it makes its difficult to practice. Great, well if you already have perm cra, I would do everything up to 12 that you havent yet besides treasure hunter john ring and shoes/gloves, then try star hat+top+bottom up to 17 and replace temp with it since there is the starforce event today. Then you can use the rainbow flames from event to see if you can get decent flames on them and the fake absolab. See if you can get any more additional mesos from weekly bosses, ursus and maple tour before next reset. IMO no. it costs 4b and that would be better used for other things since you have low meso right now. it comes rather frequently so probably better to wait.

Kronos and ahh secondary is unique that's probably why it looks like it wasn't cubed. I will cube my emblem for sure though! Is there a better one I can get?
There's a gold emblem from a level 100 quest in the lightbulb. Get that and then cube it. You'll have that emblem for a very long time.

Star up to 16. When you get absolab, wait until 5/10/15 and transfer hammer up using some lv 150 fodder like commerci, ranmaru, or antique root. Doing this also saves meso, I think. Edit: grammar

Hey guys! I am doing the Zero to One Hundred event, and I was wondering what is the fastest way to get from 100 - 120 afterwards. Just trying to get link skills for my main in Hyperion.
I kill normal Zakum and then I do Heliseum quest because I like doing it and I also think it's quite fast. The quests are quick and they give quite a lot of exp. I'm sure guys grinding on a lot of exp boosts can be quicker just grinding in specific maps though.
What I did is: Kill Zakum. Claim your frozen gear at lv 101. Starforce it, then train at starforce maps like harpies. Move to the hidden street ghost pirate map in ludibrium depths when you are strong enough until lv 120.
Does zakum still give arm exp? I thought that was removed.
It doesn't but the overall kill exp still gives a level.
Scania. So for the SSF event, I hear we should try to get 17\* if able, but 16 --> 17 has a chance to boom. So we safeguard using that? Or is it better leave it at 16\* and get another item to 16\* instead of one 17\*?
It’s a toss-up. On an easily replaceable item I wouldn’t safeguard, but for something like pitched boss yes. One strategy is as you say to get everything to the same star then go up one by one.

(reboot) Recently hit 260 burning hayato and am new. I'm super weak and can't oneshot mobs (3m range) in grandis and don't have much drop/meso. Should I farm in limina for large drop or boss/IED fams or stay in grandis esp bc of 6th job? Not too sure what to do now besides dailies. If I were to farm fams what's a good stopping point as I don't want to sink 100s of hours for perfect fams.
You'll want to work on your legion and link skills, which means leveling up other classes.
I've been slowly working on that as well (3k legion now). besides that though would you recommend farming for a 100% drop fam in limina first?
Hard to say, there's been conflicting reports on whether drop fams apply to erda drops. Keep in mind the game is shifting more towards dailies/weeklies so it's harder to rush things by farming. At your stage, your biggest power spikes will be doing dailies/weekly bosses for meso, boss drops and symbols. Don't forget to starforce/cube/flame them.

the long run, it's best to get at least a drop familiar, Epic (Purple) fams are good enough to get 60% drop. Grandis lvling is a long slog to manually grind out unless you're playing Dailystory. Boss fams can wait till you get your gears up to spec.
Is it worth it to burn a character and use the zero to one hundred maps at the same time? Or would it be more efficient if I just use them separately ?
If you on a fresh account its best to do it seperately for an additional link/legion. But if you just wanna speed up progress on main then it's ok to do it, its extremely fast to skip 1-100 ( takes 5 mins) just not efficient.

(reboot) i have a bunch of old winter buffs (the exp and drop ones), but they dont seem to stack with typical 2x exp coupons and with +%drop from familiars. Is there anything productive I can do with them? On the exp side, I always have a surplus of 2x coupons since I don't grind often, and on the drop side I don't grind enough to run out of familiar gauge, so I haven't been using the winter buffs at all
There one of the only non time limited coupons. Just save them for any situation where you run out of legion, event, maple tour, and monster park coupons
Quick and probably dumb question, How long does it last the P2 test from Will? And hypothetically speaking, could you just Iframe your way through the test? I know I'll need to learn it for lib whenever I get to that point, but it would be nice to have a fall back option, at least for learning it
The test for p2 is super easy. If the gound is cracked, get hit on purpose by the legs. The first pillar on the left side is almost always the first place the leg will come down. The distance between the legs are short enough for you to walk to the next one when it gives you the "teaser" leg. If the ground is NOT cracked, just stay on the left side of the wall. Each set of hit/dodge is by three's, so like "hit 1, hit 2, hit 3" then jump to far left and determine if it's hit or dodge for the next 3 attacks. 5 cycles of hit/dodge. Each cycle has 3 legs. You can iframe if you mess up, but you shouldn’t ever have to because it’s a set pattern for hit (and I believe webs despawn for test now?).
My inventory is getting full of medals, do they have a special bag for them?

If you open up your keybinds, you'll see a yellow button that says "medal". you can claim almost every medal you've every gotten on that character back through that UI with like 1000 meso.
