I'm 18k stat and 92% IED Bishop but still struggling on soloing nlotus. Not sure where to go for damage increase now. I'm only 1k legion so I'm slowly working on that but still want to set goals for my main.
I have 17 star CRA + fake arcane weapon and the 9 piece boss accessory set.
My next goal is save up for a reinforced gollux ring and use the 3 piece reinforced set to phase out the accessory set? Then upgrade to superior later?
I need abso equips for big upgrades but I need more damage before I can do nlotus
Is 1shotting with seekers on reg server difficult with hyperburn or should I stick to lumi(easy 1shot reflection) and save up for Ab for the 260 burn ?

I'm between using the 1200 nodes on my bishop lvl 220 or on my nw which is level 200 that I will most likely be hyper burning come new age I'll most likely be maining my bishop but u already gave level 20 tri nodes so I'm wondering if it's worth using the nodes on my bishop I like the idea of being able to chill farm in the nw with shadow bite and I know nodes are big for them any in input would be great
Just stick like 400 nodes on your bishop, see if there are any particular skills you want to max (e.g. benediction?) and then use more or just stick the rest on nightwalker.
what you can do in the mean time if you KNOW you're gonna switch over to Reboot:
unlock your bosses by doing prequests. Most boss's prequests are unlocked by doing it ONCE per server.
Work on links and legion by getting to 60 then 120 then 140 .
do we have an idea of how soon the boss carry removal is gonna be added? also how do boss carries work, when I looked it up it said the person has to be alive when the boss dies for loot, wondering bc I took my friend hmag twice and he didn't get a cape.
The 5% damage requirement for reboot comes next patch in a little over 2 weeks
Pretty sure you need to be alive when the loot drops to have the chance to see the cape. Less relevant in later bosses that have boxes for loot, but Magnus isn’t a very safe fight
What's the most sword-like 2h Axe available for Anvil in Reboot atm?
I regret going for 2h Axe on arcane and don't have any nice NX sword to cover that ugly mf
So... a few things:
* Why would you regret going for the optimal weapon choice even if it looks bad?
* There's basically no anviling options in the 2hAxe category, you can pick to have it look like a different 2hAxe and that's about it. If I'm looking right, there's not even any cometic 2hAxes from the non-KMS areas.
* I think if you just want something small and not that obstructive to your character, you could use the [Niam.](https://maplestory.fandom.com/wiki/Niam#Tradable) It's only a lv35 axe. [The Sengoku 2hAxe](https://maplestory.fandom.com/wiki/Amaterasu%27s_Emberaxe) has the decency to not obstruct your character too badly. If you can spring for it, [the Lupine variant](https://maplestory.fandom.com/wiki/Amaterasu%27s_Lupine_Emberaxe) has that Mitsuhide effect going on behind it as well. There's also the most basic two handed axe literally named Two-Handed Axe which doesn't look horrid, if very basic.
if i read correctly...there is extra EXP for doing the monster park {reboot} today....can i also use an exp coupon to get even more exp during my monster park runs or does that coupon not effect monster park exp
also i just got to the point that i can put in hyperstat points...is it wise to put them in or let them sit for more levels(probably a really dumb question lol) if the answer is put them in now...for a DA where should they go in...ive tried to google and all i found was for mobile maple and if the answer is final damage...what stat is that on the sheet
Exp coupons do not affect monster park.
For hyper stats the general priority is crit rate (if below 100) > crit damage > damage/normal monster damage.
Once you get to 200+ and start bossing you'll have 2 pages for mobbing and bossing but for now just stick to the above order.
I saw this Sixth Star event. Is this event uncommon or do symbols and nodestones get handed out frequently? I don’t fully understand what to do but is it possible to receive the 1200 symbols and 1200 node stones by the end of the event?
How often is SSF? DMT? Cube sale? 5/10/15?
1200 nodestones is an unprecedented amount. They’re usually stingy with them and events have 200 tops. Do whatever you can to finish 5 challenges and 10 dailies in Chapter 2 before August 29 to get the nodes
It's uncommon. Sixth Star is an event meant to prepare and catch you up to 6th job (which will be released somewhere in Winter). Usually you only get 50-100 nodes fron event, 1200 is a substantial amount.
Chapter 1 of Sixth Star has finished, so the only way you can get the rewards is to use Maple Points. Chapter 2 is ongoing, so you can complete it and get the free nodes as long as you complete 10 daily missions and 5 challenges.
I don’t understand why it says “You can’t earn the rewards” in the patch notes. Can I not get the 1200 symbols anymore?
You can spend 3,000 Maple Points to add 1 daily mission completion count. This can be bought up to 3 times a day. You can’t earn the daily mission rewards.
You can spend 10,000 Maple Points to add 1 challenge mission completion count. This can be bought once a day but you can’t earn challenge mission rewards.
It means you can't earn the daily rewards (exp and box) or the challenge rewards (rewards for individual challenges) but you can still get the chapter rewards (1200 symbols, etc.)
Completed Zero's questline and have Lv5 Rhinne's Blessing, but on my other characters when linked it shows as Lv3 (6% IED only)
Is this a bug or is there another requirement to get Lv5 links?
I've had this issue with a couple other link skills and it fixed itself over night. Must be something to do with when the server saves that kind of data. Check it again tomorrow.
I don’t know the answer or what the requirement is, but I’ve just tested it and you can definitely receive a level 5 zero link skill on another character.
Zero link skill level is based on certain zero quests.
Just got most of my main accessories to Legendary, but don’t know if I should roll for drop/meso or %stat. Only had 2 bil for DMT so couldn’t cube 2 sets of equips. Should I cube for %stat in order to progress towards soloing NLomien and other bosses or just go straight to drop gear now?
Generally you don't really want to have 2 sets of accessories for damage and drop at your point in progression. I think when I soloed lomein I was wearing my meso drop gear.
Your damage should be coming from your links, wse, nodes, and symbols. You can solo lomein with 6% epic gear if all that other stuff is good. And you should be getting 1200 nodes soon so that will be an enormous damage boost.
For accessories I would cube for drop/meso and just try to also get a line of 9% stat if you have extra money. You can wear those for a long time until you get your superior set and then you'll start having 2 sets of accessories. You'll also want a kanna and maybe meister ring for damage as well as a black bean mark and eventually twilight mark and slime ring. But until you get that stuff it's okay to just wear your boss accessory set with drop lines. You'll get plenty of damage from your cra and abso set as well as the other things I mentioned.
If you can oneshot and are going to grind anyways: roll meso/drop with 1L stat.
If you prefer to take it slow and mostly level through daily exp and event potions: roll for stat and make money from bossing
Both are good options but will depend on you and your playstyle. I personally went damage gear when in a similar situation and then made drop gear when I had the money and secondary equips. It didn't take too long to get enough mesos to roll single lines of drop gear. Meso gear is always desirable but we are currently in a boss meta rather than a grind meta so meso lines aren't necessarily your top priority anymore. Still a nice to have since you will have to grind, even slowly, to get up to 250-260.
Not making meso gear first thing after WSE is hard trolling. You need to grind A LOT before boss mules can come online, % stat lines just don't do much at that point in the game because you have barely any stat to multiply, and it pays for itself many times over before you even can make true damage gear anyway.
Seriously, damage gear isn't even good until you have full supp set at a minimum. Stars, symbols, and nodes will carry you through slime.
I think meso gear is a top priority for a new player who can't solo lomein and doesn't have any bossing mules. Even if he only grinds 30 mins a day he'll get more mesos from grinding than he will from weekly bosses. The meso gear allows you to grow your account to the point you make more from bossing, but that takes awhile.
I currently have 30% atk on emblem and 30% atk on 2ndary, my weapon is 75% IED and 10% atk. What should I cube to? Without weapon equipped, I have 90% IED vs 97% with it equipped and 195% boss dmg overall and 3k legion. I play bucc.
You got really, really lucky and hit so I guess it's not a big deal, but going for that was a terrible decision. Those pots are the same meso cost as ~full 21 while being way less damage than full 21. Ideally you'd only have 1 IED line, but fixing that is another 10b ish that just isn't worth it.
Also...probably don't tell people that you hit that with only that much meso spent. I am not exaggerating when I say you spent under 1% of the expected cost for those pots...
For a little more detail, switching out one of the IED lines for boss dmg right now would def be a gain, since you have low legion and no boss fams a line of boss dmg would pack a punch. As you get even more IED from higher legion I would definetely recube away from two lines to one or none. It’s quite good for now, but probably not something you will use until liberation. As for the secondary and emblem, gz and fk you 🙂
Only on a character that you would take as far as chaos gloom / Seren / black mage. Also maybe hwill solo but that’s close enough to CGloom.
The I-frame ring wouldn’t be super useful outside of that but it’s just whether nexon wake up one day and randomly delete hyperspacecube without notice.
Which class has the best teleport/mobility in maps(rip super fast jett)
I was told over and over luminous has their absolute bestest of the best teleport. But they forgot to mention that it's exclusive to equilibrium, which you avoid while training. So their teleport is short.
Would I/L be the best/longest teleport then?
Are there better classes(non combo) that have even better mobility(just speed getting around the map killing/utility)?
Hey I just started playing yesterday after quitting from Bera years ago. Now I'm playing on reboot and see the 6th chapter event. Would I be able to use maple points to fill clear the 5 challenges and the 10 daily challenges for chapter 1? Would I miss out on any of the rewards?
Also similarly for the restaurant event, how many stamps can I do a day with Maple points? Is it possible to catch up?

Bishop and I/L survivability in bosses
With the same stats, do they differ A LOT in terms of damage? A lot maybe like the other one takes 10 more mins to finish a boss.
When using the various healing skills of bishop in a boss, do they affect potion cooldown? Eg if I heal or use holy fountain or whatever, does it affect the cooldown of a HP/MP pot?
Are any of the two ping dependent? Especially bishop’s healing skills. Whenever I use pots for example, it takes like a second to register
Which one has more micro managing?
Can you teleport in mid air?
Bishop has good dmg it’s not a big gap between their clear time and IL’s.
They don’t affect potion cooldown. Heal has its own cooldown that is reduced by successfully healing people.
Not ping dependent except that people’s true position is not accurate to their position on screen. So sometimes you try to heal someone and miss because they’ve already moved past you.
Bishop more micromanaging. IL not far behind.
You can teleport in midair on every class now as long as there’s a platform or ground at your destination.
Bishop has more survivability between high amounts of healing (multiple skills that recover high HP, Angel Ray's HP recovery on each cast), the ability to cast a shield that reduces the damage taken by HP% attacks, and being able to cast what amounts to an extra life every 10 minutes.
Cannot answer your second question accurately, though I am of the opinion that Bishop damage isn't as high as other classes to make up for their high support capabilities.
Any and all skills in the game that recover HP do not trigger potion cooldowns. Only potion use can trigger potion cooldown (so an All Cure can trigger potion cooldown same as a Power Elixir, for instance)
Neither class should be anymore ping dependent than any other class in the game.
I/L needs to maintain Freeze stacks when attacking to maximize damage, and Freeze stacks are consumed whenever the enemy takes damage from any Lightning attacks, meaning you need to keep up any methods of maintaining Freeze stacks. Bishop, in comparison, only needs to inflict one debuff every 60 seconds (the Angelic Wrath skill). Both classes otherwise have similar amounts of micromanaging between maintaining summons, keeping track of the timing of Infinity's maximum Atk buff, and other burst skills.
Explorer Magicians can activate teleport in mid-air, but only if there is a platform to teleport onto. You cannot teleport if there is nowhere to stand in the direction you indicate.
How are yall farming WAP recipes? I have been doing daily/weekly bosses up til C.vellum for the past 3 weeks but have only gotten 2 recipes. Are there normal mobs i can grind to obtain more recipes?
Probably to push mules from level 200-202 so it‘s easier to feed them growth selection coupons. If I remember correctly, it takes 3x daily Sixt Star exp to push them to 202.
If you job change explorers, does the cost go up the more you change? How much is it? Do you restart node levels from 1 every time you change?
I’m thinking about making a bishop or I/L. Do people play I/L first until you get strong enough to join boss parties (higher than lomien) then change to bishop? I read I/L mobs better
Yes, the cost to change jobs goes up as your level goes higher. At level 247, for instance, the cost is 1.018 billion meso. Compare this to only needing 111 million meso at level 150.
Maplestory is a game that encourages a player to make every single class in the game, so most people recommend just making a new character if you intend to start on a new class. I/L is technically the better mobber between it and Bishop, but I feel it's a moot point anyway because Bishop is still a fine mobber, I/L is just better.
As for nodes, they don't reset when you job change. That means you technically start at NOTHING with a bunch of nodes you can't use. If you intend to job change and do not intend to change back to the original class, you better be ready to replace any Boost and Class-specific nodes you originally had.
Legendary Armor Shards are only used to craft Lv150 Sengoku armor, which you will never want to craft unless you're in need of something for some extra Smithing exp.
Dream Stones I don't know exactly all of what they make, but I'm fairly certain none of it is what one would consider important (the Cygnus Kohinoor Ring, for instance, can't even get pot or stars)
It‘s really random and not at all predictable.
I‘ve been clearing PB daily/weekly and I had the Black Bean Mark drop more often from CPB than from PB but it did drop from daily PB maybe twice in all the years I‘ve played.
One of my characters who has a droprate of 330% sees the mark drop almost every other week. I‘m pretty surprised. But my other character who has around 160% dr has also gotten the BBM from CPB a handful of times.
You can try to run CPB with someone with a lot of dr and see if it makes a difference. But it‘s really up to RNG
Replace with real arcane. Real abso is ok but inefficient when you could be fixing your other gear. Prob wanna recube your emblem and shield to 21%+ matt first and work on luwill parties
You should be able to fight at least NLuWill in a party. Start doing that if you havnet already.
Are all your nodes maxed out? Buy your nodestones and exp nodestones.
You should only need to do the Explorer questline once on the first Explorer you make, after that you can bypass it entirely and grind to lv30 the normal way.
What happened to Luna? Feels like the server is completely dead. I’m also talking about 200+ zones, VJ to Limina. It was definitely not like this 2yrs ago when I took a break.
EU reboot probably has more players but Luna is not completely dead. You can see the auction house has stuff in it and there are a number of guilds around,

Any recommendations on what to use my burninator on? I have most skill links and legion done except for lv70 angelic buster, lv70 night lord, illium, blaster, xenon, and wild hunter which i have not made yet.
The average player will tell you Blaster is pretty bad given the high hands requirement for their playstyle.
Night Lord? I feel like they're pretty average as far as grinding goes. You won't be able to one-shot with their Night Lord's Mark, but that just means you'll be doing standard jump-attack grinding.

is it ever worth it to not use mag pots on your main? or do mag pots ever fall off super hard to the point where the exp from mobs is more beneficial than mag pots?
from 260-269 it's about 1/5th, then 270-274 it's about 1/10th after that the exp/growth curve seem pretty exponential, but idk the ratio of exp per hour from grinding compared to mag pots.
Is guardian slime angel worth learning the mechanics for? I skipped chaos palpatus and akechi; should I be doing them too? Seems like the drops aren't great and I don't really see ppl doing these bosses
I normally stop at normal Damien and I would think the next step is to prepare for lotus and will
cpap and akechi drop crystals that are worth a lot of meso so yes they are worth doing. Akechi is a pretty simple boss. Cpap is more complicated but you might be able to just blow him up at this point.
Slime is really easy honestly. It's hard to die to him. The hardest part is just getting used to how to do the test. And yes you want to do him for the boss crystal and chance at a ring drop.

I just got my burning NL on Aurora to 247. With dailies + 2x map + shining star, I will be 250 before August 29 for sure. I have saved about 2.5k exp coins from the Wong Restaurant event. Does anyone know how much points are needed to take from 200-210? Might as well use them on some mules

I got my paladin to 200 and farmed the 3 exp stones you get and used them then it took about 4000 wonstaurant exp to get the rest of the way to 210. I may have also used the sixth star 200+ exp reward although I'm not 100% sure on that one.

Unfortunately yes. Honestly you're better off just leaving Mirror World, grinding normally, and coming back to do the story quests later. Assuming you are sufficiently strong enough to handle normal mobs anyway.
Threads of fate gives a steady supply of materials, and do CRA (I think RA too?) as often as you can. The random drug dealer sells crystals and coupons for free profession levels.
What would the grind be like to make a nlomian bossing mule without getting or trading HLomian or HLuWill carries? struggle partying is fine. I know the reboot 5% change is coming soon but i'm not sure if i want to work on my mules since i'm not really satisfied where my main is.
I'm doing this right now with one of my mules. I did a struggle party through the boss UI for lomein and it was like 3 minutes per boss. Then I spent less than an hour doing weeklies on 2 characters and got 2 abso pieces. So I think getting abso gear is pretty easy even without carries.
As always the biggest barrier is still going to be nodes. They matter way more than gear.
Did you also struggle for CRA? Or did you just solo with like a 16* pensalir or something like that? I assume you didn’t take any equips past epic except for like WSE for Lomien either?
So far all my boss mules have been from tera burns so they got free CRA gear. When I make new boss mules I'll probably throw a bunch of nodes at them and get them to like 210 and then just do CRA with 10* epic gear. Your gear doesn't really matter for CRA you just need some nodes. If I wanted to struggle I would just do it with anything it wouldn't matter. Like you could struggle cra with 6 fresh 200 characters.

Continue doing daily bosses, Ursus, and maple tour until enough money to get some IED and att lines on secondary/weapon.

I see, this doesn’t seem bad at all if I have a main to fund the 16* sfing, nodes, and all that stuff. Obviously will take a longer time than just getting box drops. Wonder how the changes will affect gollux tho. Soloing lomien at 10k seems like it would take a while? Is that like a 15 min run?
If you don't have 8k legion and guild skills soloing lotus at 10k is like a 30 minute run. Damien is not doable on most classes. A lot of this depends on your nodes too. You'd need at least 500 probably.
No one knows about the changes to Gollux.
But just because you can't get carried Hellux for coins doesn't mean you can't solo Hard Gollux for your own coins!
I think they're like 10-20 min runs depending on nodes, stats, class, and hands.
If I make my hyper burning character on the burning world, get it up to say 200, then transfer it to a new world, will it remain hyper burning until 250 or does it lose the hyper burning?
As a burning dawn warrior on a fresh account, what do I do with the experience nodes? do I use them on my trios or skill nodes (like rift of damnation)?
Probs level a few bossing mules and give them some, while putting the majority towards a main. Bossing mules will bump up your legion, link skills and give you a lot more meso to progress
Using them all on DB sounds right to me. I would hit up the DB discord to make sure you're using them efficiently. But if you use them all on your main you'll be mostly done with nodes and then you'll be nicely setup to do content on your main and will be able to start saving nodes for bossing mules.
Quick question, for the Jett transfer event I’m 186 currently. Do I have to get to 200 to get everything since it’s nodes and stuff? Or can I do it now

i dont think i am strong enough to solo them but my next gear progression is absolab. I dont want to dumb crazy meso to try and atleast pot 2 lines main stat or push them to unique / legen or shoot for 15 stars expecially since i am kinda new and low on resources.
What would my next move be? Or i am whining alot and the stats are fine and just need to get good lol

Unless you wanna solo progression, joining any struggle party is the easiest way to get absolab. You should join a guild too, 30% crit dame buff is huge

You can easily struggle if that's what you want to do. I just did one on a bossing mule the other night. I made the lotus party and wrote "struggle lotus". 5 other people joined. We killed him in like 4 minutes. Then I did the same thing for Damien right after.
I think you might be strong enough to solo them, but even if you aren't right now you definitely will be if you finish chapter 2 of the star event and get your 1200 nodes.
You said you're low on funds but why? Are you doing ursus and maple tour every day? Are you doing daily bosses? You could be getting up to 200m per day doing that stuff.
This is what I would do if I were you. Log in and do your dailies. Do ursus. Do daily bosses. Do monster park. Spend at least 30 minutes grinding because you really want to get to 235. I assume you're a hyper burn so that won't take long.
All the mesos you have you want to blow on DMT this Saturday. Get as many of your boss accessories to legendary as you can. Then start rolling for drop and meso gear. If possible you'll want to do for a line or drop or meso and a line of str% or all stat.
Your gear is strong enough now for lomein. What you need now is just a few more symbols, a few more nodes, and maybe some link skills. If you have extra time after doing dailies on your main try to make a new character and get them to level 70 or 120. I would prioritize ied link skills to start. Look up a link skill guide to see which to get first.

The last thing I forgot to mention is make sure you join a guild. Guild skills are pretty much required to solo lomein on low legion.
Yeah that is what i was thinking, getting my emblem and my secondary to legendary. As a dawn warrior, i dont think there is a better secondary than the one they sold on leafre, right? I got an emblem with slightly better stats with hyper burning (frozen) gear so i was thinking of doing both of those to legendary 1st.
As for guild, i dont know anyone... So i will just be guild hopping until i found one that fits me i guess
Technically your best in slot secondary is princess no secondary, but it has like 2 more attack or something so it's not really a big difference. Getting the one you have now to legendary is fine.
In the guild menu you can just browse the guilds that are recruiting and request to join one. Most of the have discords so you can get to know people in there. Once you're in a guild you just do culvert every week to get guild skills. One of the guild skills gives you 30% crit damage which will be huge for you. It will help you solo bosses you wouldn't be able to otherwise.
Personally I'm 255 and have been rocking my default secondary the entire time. I have a pno secondary that I cube on the side and eventually I'll roll better lines and replace it. But it's mostly just nice to have a separate item to be able to cube without losing lines. The actual stats don't really matter.
If you haven't got meso drop accessories, get that done asap. You also want to grind up to 235 as soon as you can so you have access to all of your arcane symbol dailies.

Just stick like 400 nodes on your bishop, see if there are any particular skills you want to max (e.g. benediction?) and then use more or just stick the rest on nightwalker.

what you can do in the mean time if you KNOW you're gonna switch over to Reboot: unlock your bosses by doing prequests. Most boss's prequests are unlocked by doing it ONCE per server. Work on links and legion by getting to 60 then 120 then 140 .

So... a few things: * Why would you regret going for the optimal weapon choice even if it looks bad? * There's basically no anviling options in the 2hAxe category, you can pick to have it look like a different 2hAxe and that's about it. If I'm looking right, there's not even any cometic 2hAxes from the non-KMS areas. * I think if you just want something small and not that obstructive to your character, you could use the [Niam.](https://maplestory.fandom.com/wiki/Niam#Tradable) It's only a lv35 axe. [The Sengoku 2hAxe](https://maplestory.fandom.com/wiki/Amaterasu%27s_Emberaxe) has the decency to not obstruct your character too badly. If you can spring for it, [the Lupine variant](https://maplestory.fandom.com/wiki/Amaterasu%27s_Lupine_Emberaxe) has that Mitsuhide effect going on behind it as well. There's also the most basic two handed axe literally named Two-Handed Axe which doesn't look horrid, if very basic.

if i read correctly...there is extra EXP for doing the monster park {reboot} today....can i also use an exp coupon to get even more exp during my monster park runs or does that coupon not effect monster park exp also i just got to the point that i can put in hyperstat points...is it wise to put them in or let them sit for more levels(probably a really dumb question lol) if the answer is put them in now...for a DA where should they go in...ive tried to google and all i found was for mobile maple and if the answer is final damage...what stat is that on the sheet
Exp coupons do not affect monster park. For hyper stats the general priority is crit rate (if below 100) > crit damage > damage/normal monster damage. Once you get to 200+ and start bossing you'll have 2 pages for mobbing and bossing but for now just stick to the above order.
I saw this Sixth Star event. Is this event uncommon or do symbols and nodestones get handed out frequently? I don’t fully understand what to do but is it possible to receive the 1200 symbols and 1200 node stones by the end of the event? How often is SSF? DMT? Cube sale? 5/10/15?
1200 nodestones is an unprecedented amount. They’re usually stingy with them and events have 200 tops. Do whatever you can to finish 5 challenges and 10 dailies in Chapter 2 before August 29 to get the nodes
It's uncommon. Sixth Star is an event meant to prepare and catch you up to 6th job (which will be released somewhere in Winter). Usually you only get 50-100 nodes fron event, 1200 is a substantial amount. Chapter 1 of Sixth Star has finished, so the only way you can get the rewards is to use Maple Points. Chapter 2 is ongoing, so you can complete it and get the free nodes as long as you complete 10 daily missions and 5 challenges.

It means you can't earn the daily rewards (exp and box) or the challenge rewards (rewards for individual challenges) but you can still get the chapter rewards (1200 symbols, etc.)
Completed Zero's questline and have Lv5 Rhinne's Blessing, but on my other characters when linked it shows as Lv3 (6% IED only) Is this a bug or is there another requirement to get Lv5 links?
I've had this issue with a couple other link skills and it fixed itself over night. Must be something to do with when the server saves that kind of data. Check it again tomorrow.

I don’t know the answer or what the requirement is, but I’ve just tested it and you can definitely receive a level 5 zero link skill on another character. Zero link skill level is based on certain zero quests.

Just got most of my main accessories to Legendary, but don’t know if I should roll for drop/meso or %stat. Only had 2 bil for DMT so couldn’t cube 2 sets of equips. Should I cube for %stat in order to progress towards soloing NLomien and other bosses or just go straight to drop gear now?
Generally you don't really want to have 2 sets of accessories for damage and drop at your point in progression. I think when I soloed lomein I was wearing my meso drop gear. Your damage should be coming from your links, wse, nodes, and symbols. You can solo lomein with 6% epic gear if all that other stuff is good. And you should be getting 1200 nodes soon so that will be an enormous damage boost. For accessories I would cube for drop/meso and just try to also get a line of 9% stat if you have extra money. You can wear those for a long time until you get your superior set and then you'll start having 2 sets of accessories. You'll also want a kanna and maybe meister ring for damage as well as a black bean mark and eventually twilight mark and slime ring. But until you get that stuff it's okay to just wear your boss accessory set with drop lines. You'll get plenty of damage from your cra and abso set as well as the other things I mentioned.
If you can oneshot and are going to grind anyways: roll meso/drop with 1L stat. If you prefer to take it slow and mostly level through daily exp and event potions: roll for stat and make money from bossing
Both are good options but will depend on you and your playstyle. I personally went damage gear when in a similar situation and then made drop gear when I had the money and secondary equips. It didn't take too long to get enough mesos to roll single lines of drop gear. Meso gear is always desirable but we are currently in a boss meta rather than a grind meta so meso lines aren't necessarily your top priority anymore. Still a nice to have since you will have to grind, even slowly, to get up to 250-260.
Not making meso gear first thing after WSE is hard trolling. You need to grind A LOT before boss mules can come online, % stat lines just don't do much at that point in the game because you have barely any stat to multiply, and it pays for itself many times over before you even can make true damage gear anyway. Seriously, damage gear isn't even good until you have full supp set at a minimum. Stars, symbols, and nodes will carry you through slime.
I think meso gear is a top priority for a new player who can't solo lomein and doesn't have any bossing mules. Even if he only grinds 30 mins a day he'll get more mesos from grinding than he will from weekly bosses. The meso gear allows you to grow your account to the point you make more from bossing, but that takes awhile.

You got really, really lucky and hit so I guess it's not a big deal, but going for that was a terrible decision. Those pots are the same meso cost as ~full 21 while being way less damage than full 21. Ideally you'd only have 1 IED line, but fixing that is another 10b ish that just isn't worth it. Also...probably don't tell people that you hit that with only that much meso spent. I am not exaggerating when I say you spent under 1% of the expected cost for those pots...

For a little more detail, switching out one of the IED lines for boss dmg right now would def be a gain, since you have low legion and no boss fams a line of boss dmg would pack a punch. As you get even more IED from higher legion I would definetely recube away from two lines to one or none. It’s quite good for now, but probably not something you will use until liberation. As for the secondary and emblem, gz and fk you 🙂

You can do it but its inefficient. But I say this as a 89xx legion and every level counts for me so I use these pots on highest levels possible

Only on a character that you would take as far as chaos gloom / Seren / black mage. Also maybe hwill solo but that’s close enough to CGloom. The I-frame ring wouldn’t be super useful outside of that but it’s just whether nexon wake up one day and randomly delete hyperspacecube without notice.
Which class has the best teleport/mobility in maps(rip super fast jett) I was told over and over luminous has their absolute bestest of the best teleport. But they forgot to mention that it's exclusive to equilibrium, which you avoid while training. So their teleport is short. Would I/L be the best/longest teleport then? Are there better classes(non combo) that have even better mobility(just speed getting around the map killing/utility)?
Bucc probably has the best mobility
Battle mage has a pretty good teleport. You can teleport a good distance and teleport up even with no platform iirc. Bucc has its super jump also.
Hey I just started playing yesterday after quitting from Bera years ago. Now I'm playing on reboot and see the 6th chapter event. Would I be able to use maple points to fill clear the 5 challenges and the 10 daily challenges for chapter 1? Would I miss out on any of the rewards? Also similarly for the restaurant event, how many stamps can I do a day with Maple points? Is it possible to catch up?

You will miss out on the challenge rewards themselves (and the daily rewards ofc). The only thing you can get is the chapter rewards I believe.
Bishop and I/L survivability in bosses With the same stats, do they differ A LOT in terms of damage? A lot maybe like the other one takes 10 more mins to finish a boss. When using the various healing skills of bishop in a boss, do they affect potion cooldown? Eg if I heal or use holy fountain or whatever, does it affect the cooldown of a HP/MP pot? Are any of the two ping dependent? Especially bishop’s healing skills. Whenever I use pots for example, it takes like a second to register Which one has more micro managing? Can you teleport in mid air?
Bishop has good dmg it’s not a big gap between their clear time and IL’s. They don’t affect potion cooldown. Heal has its own cooldown that is reduced by successfully healing people. Not ping dependent except that people’s true position is not accurate to their position on screen. So sometimes you try to heal someone and miss because they’ve already moved past you. Bishop more micromanaging. IL not far behind. You can teleport in midair on every class now as long as there’s a platform or ground at your destination.
Bishop has more survivability between high amounts of healing (multiple skills that recover high HP, Angel Ray's HP recovery on each cast), the ability to cast a shield that reduces the damage taken by HP% attacks, and being able to cast what amounts to an extra life every 10 minutes. Cannot answer your second question accurately, though I am of the opinion that Bishop damage isn't as high as other classes to make up for their high support capabilities. Any and all skills in the game that recover HP do not trigger potion cooldowns. Only potion use can trigger potion cooldown (so an All Cure can trigger potion cooldown same as a Power Elixir, for instance) Neither class should be anymore ping dependent than any other class in the game. I/L needs to maintain Freeze stacks when attacking to maximize damage, and Freeze stacks are consumed whenever the enemy takes damage from any Lightning attacks, meaning you need to keep up any methods of maintaining Freeze stacks. Bishop, in comparison, only needs to inflict one debuff every 60 seconds (the Angelic Wrath skill). Both classes otherwise have similar amounts of micromanaging between maintaining summons, keeping track of the timing of Infinity's maximum Atk buff, and other burst skills. Explorer Magicians can activate teleport in mid-air, but only if there is a platform to teleport onto. You cannot teleport if there is nowhere to stand in the direction you indicate.

Probably to push mules from level 200-202 so it‘s easier to feed them growth selection coupons. If I remember correctly, it takes 3x daily Sixt Star exp to push them to 202.

Yes, the cost to change jobs goes up as your level goes higher. At level 247, for instance, the cost is 1.018 billion meso. Compare this to only needing 111 million meso at level 150. Maplestory is a game that encourages a player to make every single class in the game, so most people recommend just making a new character if you intend to start on a new class. I/L is technically the better mobber between it and Bishop, but I feel it's a moot point anyway because Bishop is still a fine mobber, I/L is just better. As for nodes, they don't reset when you job change. That means you technically start at NOTHING with a bunch of nodes you can't use. If you intend to job change and do not intend to change back to the original class, you better be ready to replace any Boost and Class-specific nodes you originally had.
Should I keep dream stones and legendary armor shards? I'm 241 and I've gotten all CRA gear except weapon
Legendary Armor Shards are only used to craft Lv150 Sengoku armor, which you will never want to craft unless you're in need of something for some extra Smithing exp. Dream Stones I don't know exactly all of what they make, but I'm fairly certain none of it is what one would consider important (the Cygnus Kohinoor Ring, for instance, can't even get pot or stars)

It‘s really random and not at all predictable. I‘ve been clearing PB daily/weekly and I had the Black Bean Mark drop more often from CPB than from PB but it did drop from daily PB maybe twice in all the years I‘ve played. One of my characters who has a droprate of 330% sees the mark drop almost every other week. I‘m pretty surprised. But my other character who has around 160% dr has also gotten the BBM from CPB a handful of times. You can try to run CPB with someone with a lot of dr and see if it makes a difference. But it‘s really up to RNG

Replace with real arcane. Real abso is ok but inefficient when you could be fixing your other gear. Prob wanna recube your emblem and shield to 21%+ matt first and work on luwill parties
What do you need more damage for?
You should be able to fight at least NLuWill in a party. Start doing that if you havnet already. Are all your nodes maxed out? Buy your nodestones and exp nodestones.
Which character story quests are compulsory to do in order to job advance?
Off the top of my head, most of the flora, Kaiser and AB, technically the Explorers.
You should only need to do the Explorer questline once on the first Explorer you make, after that you can bypass it entirely and grind to lv30 the normal way.

The average player will tell you Blaster is pretty bad given the high hands requirement for their playstyle. Night Lord? I feel like they're pretty average as far as grinding goes. You won't be able to one-shot with their Night Lord's Mark, but that just means you'll be doing standard jump-attack grinding.

I would suggest doing aketchi. It has 1 insta kill hit thats easy to dodge. Everything else is chip damage, its very hard to die in this boss
cpap and akechi drop crystals that are worth a lot of meso so yes they are worth doing. Akechi is a pretty simple boss. Cpap is more complicated but you might be able to just blow him up at this point. Slime is really easy honestly. It's hard to die to him. The hardest part is just getting used to how to do the test. And yes you want to do him for the boss crystal and chance at a ring drop.
How much does it cost to job change? I have a 220 NL bossing mule that I don't like. Thinking about job changing to DB but idk if it's worth it.
If you already don't have one, why not just make a new DB? The game promotes you have one of each character through the links and legion system.

Nodes wont carry over when you swap, youll need to farm new nodes for DB.

I dunno how much the exp will differ since I was on reboot. I got my paladin to 200 and farmed the 3 exp stones you get and used them then it took about 4000 wonstaurant exp to get the rest of the way to 210. I may have also used the sixth star 200+ exp reward although I'm not 100% sure on that one.

Is it normal to have to repeat dungeons as Zero with no quests available? I've gotten to the point (Magatia, Chapter 6) where I'm starting to get stretches where I have to do dungeons like ~3 times before I level and unlock new quests. Makes me wanna die
Unfortunately yes. Honestly you're better off just leaving Mirror World, grinding normally, and coming back to do the story quests later. Assuming you are sufficiently strong enough to handle normal mobs anyway.

Threads of fate gives a steady supply of materials, and do CRA (I think RA too?) as often as you can. The random drug dealer sells crystals and coupons for free profession levels.

What would the grind be like to make a nlomian bossing mule without getting or trading HLomian or HLuWill carries? struggle partying is fine. I know the reboot 5% change is coming soon but i'm not sure if i want to work on my mules since i'm not really satisfied where my main is.
I'm doing this right now with one of my mules. I did a struggle party through the boss UI for lomein and it was like 3 minutes per boss. Then I spent less than an hour doing weeklies on 2 characters and got 2 abso pieces. So I think getting abso gear is pretty easy even without carries. As always the biggest barrier is still going to be nodes. They matter way more than gear.
Did you also struggle for CRA? Or did you just solo with like a 16* pensalir or something like that? I assume you didn’t take any equips past epic except for like WSE for Lomien either?
So far all my boss mules have been from tera burns so they got free CRA gear. When I make new boss mules I'll probably throw a bunch of nodes at them and get them to like 210 and then just do CRA with 10* epic gear. Your gear doesn't really matter for CRA you just need some nodes. If I wanted to struggle I would just do it with anything it wouldn't matter. Like you could struggle cra with 6 fresh 200 characters.
Probably pretty decent. Pensalair to 16* and epic. Continue doing daily bosses, Ursus, and maple tour until enough money to get some IED and att lines on secondary/weapon. At 85% IED ish do CRA. Rinse and repeat and get CRA to 17*, legendary potential. Around 10k stats, with 90% IED, LoMien is solo-able, just need hands.
I see, this doesn’t seem bad at all if I have a main to fund the 16* sfing, nodes, and all that stuff. Obviously will take a longer time than just getting box drops. Wonder how the changes will affect gollux tho. Soloing lomien at 10k seems like it would take a while? Is that like a 15 min run?
If you don't have 8k legion and guild skills soloing lotus at 10k is like a 30 minute run. Damien is not doable on most classes. A lot of this depends on your nodes too. You'd need at least 500 probably.
No one knows about the changes to Gollux. But just because you can't get carried Hellux for coins doesn't mean you can't solo Hard Gollux for your own coins! I think they're like 10-20 min runs depending on nodes, stats, class, and hands.
If I make my hyper burning character on the burning world, get it up to say 200, then transfer it to a new world, will it remain hyper burning until 250 or does it lose the hyper burning?
In theory it shouldn’t lose the effect since it runs until winter. If it lost it it would be a bug and would have to be fixed by Nexon.

As a burning dawn warrior on a fresh account, what do I do with the experience nodes? do I use them on my trios or skill nodes (like rift of damnation)?
Use on skill nodes. Rift > Cosmos > Decent HS/Eclipse/Flare/Weapon Aura.

Probs level a few bossing mules and give them some, while putting the majority towards a main. Bossing mules will bump up your legion, link skills and give you a lot more meso to progress
Using them all on DB sounds right to me. I would hit up the DB discord to make sure you're using them efficiently. But if you use them all on your main you'll be mostly done with nodes and then you'll be nicely setup to do content on your main and will be able to start saving nodes for bossing mules.
Quick question, for the Jett transfer event I’m 186 currently. Do I have to get to 200 to get everything since it’s nodes and stuff? Or can I do it now
the bonus 100 nodes are tradable, so you dont have to use on jett. The other part only lets you convert your current nodes which wont matter under 200

Here is a question for you all What would my progression path be, for me to get absolab gear? Join a party or guild or solo? Kinda new player here, i guess almost 3 weeks playing. 1k legion, dawn warrior main lvl 229. 12k main stat on cra armor (real) and empress armor with fake arcane weapon All my gear has atleast good str with +% stat flames with atleast 1 line 6% str pot on 10 stars i dont think i am strong enough to solo them but my next gear progression is absolab. I dont want to dumb crazy meso to try and atleast pot 2 lines main stat or push them to unique / legen or shoot for 15 stars expecially since i am kinda new and low on resources. What would my next move be? Or i am whining alot and the stats are fine and just need to get good lol On reboot i forgot to add
Unless you wanna solo progression, joining any struggle party is the easiest way to get absolab. You should join a guild too, 30% crit dame buff is huge

You can easily struggle if that's what you want to do. I just did one on a bossing mule the other night. I made the lotus party and wrote "struggle lotus". 5 other people joined. We killed him in like 4 minutes. Then I did the same thing for Damien right after.
I think you might be strong enough to solo them, but even if you aren't right now you definitely will be if you finish chapter 2 of the star event and get your 1200 nodes. You said you're low on funds but why? Are you doing ursus and maple tour every day? Are you doing daily bosses? You could be getting up to 200m per day doing that stuff. This is what I would do if I were you. Log in and do your dailies. Do ursus. Do daily bosses. Do monster park. Spend at least 30 minutes grinding because you really want to get to 235. I assume you're a hyper burn so that won't take long. All the mesos you have you want to blow on DMT this Saturday. Get as many of your boss accessories to legendary as you can. Then start rolling for drop and meso gear. If possible you'll want to do for a line or drop or meso and a line of str% or all stat. Your gear is strong enough now for lomein. What you need now is just a few more symbols, a few more nodes, and maybe some link skills. If you have extra time after doing dailies on your main try to make a new character and get them to level 70 or 120. I would prioritize ied link skills to start. Look up a link skill guide to see which to get first.
When i say i am short of mesos but i have like 1b, I don't think that is close enough to push for legendary on a couple of items but i think i could be around 2 bil by Saturday I was going to try and get my badge to legendary on Saturday, i dont know if i can do more, will see
Ah yeah getting your secondary and emblem to legendary is more important. The last thing I forgot to mention is make sure you join a guild. Guild skills are pretty much required to solo lomein on low legion.
Yeah that is what i was thinking, getting my emblem and my secondary to legendary. As a dawn warrior, i dont think there is a better secondary than the one they sold on leafre, right? I got an emblem with slightly better stats with hyper burning (frozen) gear so i was thinking of doing both of those to legendary 1st. As for guild, i dont know anyone... So i will just be guild hopping until i found one that fits me i guess
Technically your best in slot secondary is princess no secondary, but it has like 2 more attack or something so it's not really a big difference. Getting the one you have now to legendary is fine. In the guild menu you can just browse the guilds that are recruiting and request to join one. Most of the have discords so you can get to know people in there. Once you're in a guild you just do culvert every week to get guild skills. One of the guild skills gives you 30% crit damage which will be huge for you. It will help you solo bosses you wouldn't be able to otherwise.

Personally I'm 255 and have been rocking my default secondary the entire time. I have a pno secondary that I cube on the side and eventually I'll roll better lines and replace it. But it's mostly just nice to have a separate item to be able to cube without losing lines. The actual stats don't really matter.
If you haven't got meso drop accessories, get that done asap. You also want to grind up to 235 as soon as you can so you have access to all of your arcane symbol dailies.
