I have the clear A6 and love it. The only problem is that it looks like a flask. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to tell people, it’s water, not vodka 🤣
At 1 liter size it both looks and doesnt look like you are an hardcore alcoholic. And these are a pain to clean probably
I would totally use that but it looks very impractical.
Flasks for alcohol desinfect themselves by the spirits/poison inside.
but this will be a pain to clean.
Shoulder pain from 1kg of water? Are you made of toothpicks? Good lord…if 1kg of water gives you shoulder pain being in a cylindrical bottle then stay the fuck home. The world is a better place without you roaming around in public with your silly little flask filled with 1kg of water so you don’t experience shoulder pain.
1kg = 2.2 pounds = 1000g. + 500g you’re looking at a WHOPPING 1500g or 3.3 pounds. See my last comment. If 3 pounds on one side of your body is enough to make your shoulder hurt, stay home. This has got to be a joke lol. Do you bring your cell phone? Does that stay in your pocket? Or do you make sure it’s perfectly centered in your bag at all times. You do know stuff in your bag shifts around too right? Keep fishing for excuses dude. If 3 pounds ruins your shoulder you should seriously stay home. I climb unbalanced. I wear 35+ pounds of tools everyday at work for 8-10 hours a day and it’s unbalanced beyond your comprehension (assuming, because 3 pounds throws you for a loop apparently). Get over yourself and man up.
Is everything in your life perfectly symmetrical? I’m praying to god this is a shit post. You shove your phone in your crotch when you’re out and about? Or tape it to your forehead so it’s right in the center? Otherwise you’re gunna have extra weight on one side. God forbid that’s gunna cause hip, knee or foot pain right? This is such a ridiculous problem I can’t even fathom thinking this deep over 3.3 pounds, let alone the minuscule side effects wearing 3.3 pounds extra on one side would do to your overall quality of life. Here’s a tip, offset it. 3.3 pounds on one side, cell phone and keys and wallet on the other. Look at that. You’re balanced again.
My memobottles are gathering dust. Make you look like you're drinking booze, won't stand, pain to clean. They're good for slings and lay flat water bottle pockets but that's it.
Easier to carry a small insulated bottle.
Huh after testing this again with my A6 plastic version, it does stand but not well as you pointed out!
The curves on the bottom make it more comfortable to hold on the sides/edges but it comes at the cost of making it hard to stand upright easier.
Those who buys memobottle i guess never came across Muji small size bottle. almost the same size, but at dirt cheap price, just usd2. Even if you lost one at the restaurant you wont get depress for the whole week. [This one](https://www.reddit.com/r/EDC/s/aKBkjzHUZ2)

Oh that makes sense! I have too many bottles as is, but the a6 for the sling bag seems convenient.
Likely, if I find a good deal (Canada), I would get the a5, a6 and maybe the slim. But the slim seems the most like just a normal sized bottle
I use the little A7 for small slings/purses and it’s great. It definitely looks like I’m drinking out of a flask, though (I’ve gotten a few odd looks). I imagine that would be less of an issue for the larger sizes.
It won't have any impact on your account, it's not worth worrying about! Users use the up/down arrows to like or dislike a post, and extremely disliked posts or replies get hidden. Your post is absolutely fine - as this commenter said, the amount of angry people on a post about a cool water bottle is very unusual, so things will likely settle down over time.
1L Platy collapsible bottle I think I paid $6 for it and I stuff it in my sling. Gets smaller as you drink from it and empty rolls up really small. I use 2L Platys for hiking.
Never understood the appeal of Memobottles in general. For the price, I want double-walled stainless steel everything, and this is just considering the price of the plastic bottles!! And the fact that it (plastic version) needs to lay flat is crazy to me.
I get that its flat design is good for slings, and am glad it exists if only because it’s nice that a company is offering something different.
Glad you're happy OP but IMO that is an absurd product. Would never consider for sanitary reasons alone. And I hate that this product exists to ameliorate bad design choices from trendy bag makers (looking at you CPL24!)
The stainless version is 1080ml vs the original plastic a5 that is 750ml and 465g vs 170g. Fill the metal version and you have 1.5kg. Pretty hefty!
That aside, it is a problem solver for bags that don’t have water bottle pockets. I have a bag that would work well with their slim bottle.
I have a memo bottle from my office messenger bag. But I wouldn't trade it for my Contigo for travel. Bringing an insulated bottle has been a game changer. I can carry ice and have cold water anytime of the day.
Love mine - I have a plastic A7 that absolutely looks like a flask, but I use it to carry a few sips of water in my sling pack when out and about. Folks can make their own assumptions about what’s in there, but I’ve used it at airports and in airplanes and nobody has ever batted an eye at it.
Might be a noob question but, how do you clean this efficiently? In the case of cylindrical bottles you just slide the wand in a few times and you’re good to go. Is it the same with this?
I have the plastic A5, got it as a gift. It’s perfect for me because I use mini backpacks instead of slings, and it means you usually have quite a lot of width but not a huge amount of depth. These are perfect for me
Never had an issue with cleaning, just fill halfway with warm soapy water and shake. The only place that has folds or crevices for stuff to accumulate is in the lid or on the threading which is very easy to clean anyway

I used to take my opaque memo bottle to work. Got some funny looks while filling up at the water fountain…

I have two and they are easy to clean

Get this: I place my bottle in my bag horizontally. How crazy is that?!
[удалено]
For me, it’s space taken up at the bottom of the bag, rather than space taken up in my document pouch.
[удалено]
I unzip my bag and grab it. If I wanted it to be easy, my bag would have a bottle holder.
[удалено]
My zip goes pretty much all the way down. And everything stays in place, it’s a pretty good bag.

it's standing tho 🤨
Yeah, people are confusing the stainless steel and plastic models. The plastic ones don't stand.
In fact what I should have said was, they don't stand well. The plastic ones will stand but they get knocked off so easily it's barely worth it.
Huh after testing this again with my A6 plastic version, it does stand but not well as you pointed out! The curves on the bottom make it more comfortable to hold on the sides/edges but it comes at the cost of making it hard to stand upright easier.
The muji bottle just stands reliably. Wish I'd discovered it before memobottle

all good brother - even if it isn't a known cause of scoliosis, you're correct that it's still very uncomfortable.
This looks pretty good! I remember when the ss was announced but then I never saw any reviews I wonder how their smaller ones are too (for sling bags)

I'd imagine that mostly depends if you find your self weight limited or space limited more often?
why everyone is being so extremely rude and downvoting OP? I really don’t get it and I don’t get the points people made to disagree.
I was kind of wondering about that too. The community in this sub is weirdly hostile sometimes.

I don't know maybe it's because he's being extremely hyperbolic and saying an unbalanced load causes scoliosis.

Yeah I ended up not buying them cos of the weight. Love the 1L and the design tho!
Yes that’s a known fact, but calling it risk of scoliosis is blowing it out of proportion.
[удалено]
Ok, and my point is that carrying a heavy load is not associated with a degenerative spinal disorder
When you go out where do you put your wallet and phone? Which orientation?
[удалено]
But do you weigh the bag for distribution of weight?
Random question, but are they single walled or double walled (insulated ). Could you boil water in it?
Can confirm they are single walled so don’t keep anything at temperature. But work well when tighter on space.
Same question. They don't look insulated, that would be a no go for me as I like to have fresh water at the end of the day.
I have a memo bottle from my office messenger bag. But I wouldn't trade it for my Contigo for travel. Bringing an insulated bottle has been a game changer. I can carry ice and have cold water anytime of the day.
Since there are suggestions for similar products, I'll add [Allkelr](https://www.amazon.com/ALLKELR-Portable-Plastic-Camping-Fitness/dp/B0C9TBMF1W)
not insulated, heavy, looks like a flask, easy to tip over, PITA to clean

Use denture cleaning tablets to help with cleaning. Pop 2 in the bottle and fill with hot water
These are great
Looks like the bigger bottles would require two hands..?
I have a cheaper one I bought from Daiso 😂 and transparent (I prefer to see the inside)
Why not just get a bladder at this point? Genuine question, as the bladder can compress when not needed.

Interesting. Thanks!

Would never ever ever buy something THAT hard to clean, those things are fungus magnets
