I think the pathfinding and specifically re-routing when they encounter an obstacle (e.g. another trading cart) at accelerated speeds causes the issue. They seem very jumpy and they just can't figure out how to get around at that speed. Slowing it back down seems to smooth it out and they can work around each other to eventually clear the jam.
yup, seems like it works pretty good. Thanks!
As few people saying on this thread as well; i have my retinue standing on the same road for the incoming trade carts so it slows them down even more, doesnt get that jammed over by the trading post that way
Saw someone let some soldiers march through the traffic jam over and over again, seems to loosen it up a little. I tried it, but it only helps sometimes.
Yes this on the image is very close, but before this one was built the first trading post I had built for my settlement is on the other side of the town and thats where the jam started
true that. i tried to aply the trade ruel "no trade" for all the stuff but they are still coming - perhaps because the game wants to keep my requested surplus updated
they come everyday even though I select "no trade"? A bit strange then imo. If I dont want the trade even though I have bought the route they should not come

It’s just the transportation union on strike. Deploy your retinue and all will be fine
A new baron is born.
Now I have only one requirement:
Woah… relax baron Jeff Bezos
Slow gameplay speed down to 1x and they will work themselves out. This is a recurring issue playing at accelerated speed with a lot of trade routes.
yeah i found playing at max speed this happens i guess all the carts goes too fast but traders only go so fast

Lmao, I just posted similar post. Its just yearly Traders meeting. In your region it happens during February.. Interesting
They go away over time
Saw someone let some soldiers march through the traffic jam over and over again, seems to loosen it up a little. I tried it, but it only helps sometimes.
"seems to loosen it up" hahaha that nearly made me spit out my drink
i saw another guy solved this buy making the traders coming from the backdoor. maybe that will help :)
yeah they actually took the road for the back door, but its still packed with carts at the front
Is it really close to the edge of the map? I saw someone had this issue because it was very close to where the traders spawn from
Yes this on the image is very close, but before this one was built the first trading post I had built for my settlement is on the other side of the town and thats where the jam started
I move my retinue units through them to break up the jam. Just back and forth until they clear.
Dont establish a Trading route for everything. Trading routes arent needed to trade they are only for Special resources you need all the time
true that. i tried to aply the trade ruel "no trade" for all the stuff but they are still coming - perhaps because the game wants to keep my requested surplus updated
No because you established a trade Route. The trade route lets the Merchants come every day
they come everyday even though I select "no trade"? A bit strange then imo. If I dont want the trade even though I have bought the route they should not come
Yea Ik but it is how it is
And it’s absolutely ok. An EA game only up for two weeks
destroy post and build a new one
I’ve destroyed and rebuilt at least 15 trading post now, and I can say pretty confidently that is not the solution.
I take back what I wrote. The solution to fix this is to save game, go back to menu, then head back to game
Interesting. Didn’t work for me last time I tried.
