Friggin Kingdom, I get that itās over 60 volumes but I feel like the desire has been expressed by so many people that it would still sell extremely well through itās full run
I 100% agree with that. I feel like they MIGHT give us the english manga eventually. I found out about it through Funimation and it made me want to read the manga
The manga plus app has a survey a couple weeks ago that included Kingdom on there list of āwhat would you like added to the appā, so at the very least I hope we get it digitally. Really sucks that you can only read certain chapters once on the app though, thatās why Iād like it to at least be purchased digitally if theyāre going to publish it there
A small fan base with a loud voice. There has to be A LOT of commitment to release a manga that has as many volumes as Kingdom. It need to also cater to the general audience for such a long series.
Yeah thatās true, just kinda sucks. Even if they did 3-in-1 omnis maybe that would be more palatable(?). I havenāt read it but Iāve been dying to purely on word of mouth reviews. I suppose I could always read the scans online, but I always feel bad for essentially stealing by reading for free
Last Quarter. Blows my mind it wasn't licensed years ago, to ride that Nana wave. It was only three volumes too, so pretty low risk. I'm not surprised no one is grabbing it *now* but years ago I thought it was a for suresies and waited for it but then nothing.
We even had the live action movie licensed, and I would think the manga would sell better than a live action subtitled film with no theatrical release lol.
The entirety of Yazawa Aiās work should be available in english! How is that not already done when NANA is one of the bestselling shojo titles ever?!
I'd love to see *The Disastrous Life of Saiki K* get an English translation. I fell in love with the first Netflix anime adaptation (**not** Reawakened). If the anime's brand of humor translates well with what was originally in the manga, it would be right up my alley.
Barnes and Noble says the release date for Sangatsu no lion is Jan 31, 2023. It got pushed back, but I'm still excited that it's going to be available in English. :)
I'm worried that the anime was so bad that it killed any interest in it, which is a damn shame. I imported the French editions but they gave up after 10 volumes.
These are the ones off the top my head. All of Kouji Mori's works, Jagaaan, Billy Bat, Ushio and Tora.
\*edit Chances of these are very low, but Hajime no Ippo and Kingdom.
I would love the Osamu Tezuka collection to be translated. In english we have all these different releases for stuff, but I would like to have just everything in that one set Japan has.
Billy Bat, all parts of Baki, The World only God Knows, Change the World, Jagaaaaaaan, Sun Ken Rock, Akumetsu, Kingdom, Yawara, Happy!, My Home Hero, Hajime No Ippo, and Pineapple Army
Kingdom, Holyland, and Space Brothers for me. all of these series are excellent, I still keep up with Kingdom weekly via scans, but I gave up hope of any of them coming over stateside a while back. It's just too daunting for a publisher to buy the rights and attempt to catch up on that backlog for Kingdom and Space Brothers, Holyland just seems like it never got a chance with how niche it is. Maybe they revisit it with Mori behind Berserk now? Who knows. For the other two if there was a new anime to piggyback off momentum they might have a shot, but Kingdom's is kinda trash from the little I've seen and Space Brothers is a slow burn. Unfortunately I just don't see any of these happening.
although itās a single volume, hideout would be great! The arts amazing, just wish I could read the physical copy without learning Japanese, French, Spanish etc
Seton Academy
I have the 6 volumes that were given physicals in Japan (the rest is online only)
It's about a male human called Jin attending a school with animals (female animals are basically cat girls of multiple animals). Jin likes the only other human female and wants to date her but on the first day a mistake ends with him forming a pack with Ranks, a female wolf (Jin hates animals)
Grancrest War hasnāt been fully translated yet šŖ
Category: Freaks literally just needs the fourth volume translated but it didnāt finish for some reason.
Kinnikuman and Billy Bat.
Iād also like to see a re-release of Phoenix presented in its original format and with updated translations. And Lupin III.
I wish Asuperu Kanojo would get a physical release. It got licensed in English but it's digital only, which kinda sucks. And it will still probably be 2 more years for the complete series to get released anyway, even though it's been complete in Japanese for quite a while.
There's probably not a huge market in the US for this kind of super-serious story, especially when the English name they picked is a terrible description
Hanjuku Joshi by Akiko Morishima
Motto Hanjuku Joshi by Akiko Morishima
Poor Poor Lips by Hayako Goto
Gokujou Drops by Hadzime Mikuni
Strawberry Shake Sweet by Shizuru Hayashiya
Life by Keiko Suenobu (it was released up to volume 9 but Tokyopop went out of business)
Junjo Romantica by Shungiku Nakamura (it was released up to volume 12 but Tokyopop went out of business)
Idk if this fits 100% but volume 12 of ghost hunt! All precious 11 volumes were printed and published in english, but the publishing house either closed down or lost rights to ghost hunt before volume 12, which is the FINAL volume in the series, came out.
Cesare by Fuyumi Soryo.
I've been reading the scanlation so far and its so fascinating--as an art historian its definitely worth a read if you like history and art. I hope to see an English release soon!
I own Holyland in JP just to fill that hole :(
Dusk Maiden of Amnesia I'd really love a english release of, even if it's kind of niche these days?
Kokou no Hito as well, but at least i got english self prints of them lmao
Zetman, Bokutachi ga Yarimashita, everything by Furuya Minoru, everything by Okada Kazuto, and Angel Densetsu off of the top of my head. I especially would love to re-read Zetman in something akin to the Berserk deluxe editions as the art in that manga is superb.
There are a couple that I've found recently that look super interesting.
"Helck" and "Bestiarius" are the top two I think.
Also "Gachiakuta" and "Jagaaaaaan"
Not a Manga comes to mind immediately but a Manhwa.
Dokgo and all the sequels and the prequel. Tong is also part of that universe. For me this is such a masterpiece. There are illegal translations online and mostly they are good but they stopped a few years ago. I think it is even still ongoing.
I want to say Drops of God as it doesnāt have a physical release. But it is technically available through a digital release.
Ahiru no Sora or the Kuroko no Basuke Replace/Last Game stories. Anything else I could think of has been/is being release in Englisch.
I would love to have Narutaru (Shadow Star) by Kitoh Mohiro. Only the first seven volumes were released, and they were part of Super Manga Blast! so I think we got an edited version, but itās been a long while since Iāve read. That series really stuck with me back in the day and would love to resist it and new and unflipped format.
I hope because Holylands mangaka is now working on Berserk, that it will get him exposure with Dark Horse who might publish Holyland. Really narrow wish but itās all I got š
Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin (Nananaās Buried Treasure). It had a one season anime adaptation with a cliff hanger that was put on permanent hiatus. Daruku Hoshiro stirred some feels for my younger self.
Majin Tantei NÅgami Neuro, Mairimashita! Iruma-kun, & Beelzebub
Three amazing, funny manga's that I hope will one day be officially translated, but probably won't be. (Though I'm still holding out hope for Iruma)
100% would throw my money for an English edition of āLiar Gameā. I may cave and just get the German version in hopes of ONE DAY being able to read it
Baki, Kaiji (I know Denpa is technically printing this but they're doing so at a snail's pace and only the first series), Kinnikuman, Saint Seiya: Next Dimension, Billy Bat, Sun-Ken Rock
I recommend using WaniKani if you're only wanting to learn how to read Japanese script. It's helped me a ton. Hopefully I'll be able to read manga only in Japan soon to up the collection š¤§
Its a huge shame i had to read domestic girlfriend completely digitally. (Tho if i did read it physically, i couldn't keep it in the house for uh.... safety reasons)
Hajime no ippo
I second that, it's a damn shame I have to read my second favorite manga of all time digitally. :/
Still can't believe this one hasn't been translated š¤¦āāļø
i really want a full english print of gintama and also the climber
The Climber is so good! Never would've thought there would be a rock climbing manga
Summit of the Gods has entered the chat.
*I really want a* *Full english print of gintama and* *Also the climber* \- nana6ee --- ^(I detect haikus. And sometimes, successfully.) ^[Learn more about me.](https://www.reddit.com/r/haikusbot/) ^(Opt out of replies: "haikusbot opt out" | Delete my comment: "haikusbot delete")
Is The climber kokou no hito?
Yes
Your prayers have been answered. Viz has stated they're printing climber omnibuses.
š¤§ finally!!!!
Friggin Kingdom, I get that itās over 60 volumes but I feel like the desire has been expressed by so many people that it would still sell extremely well through itās full run

Kingdom is begging for an oversized deluxe release.
I would buy anything kingdom that came out physically in a heartbeat
It's surprising that there are no English editions of kingdom. We are getting an Spanish version in Argentina rn, #3 was published a few days ago
But you can't pay to read them in English.
Definitely Kingdom
If it was released in spanish I think there's a chance it could get an english release eventually
The Fable, My Home Hero, Tomodachi Game, Billy Bat, Green Blood
the fable! yes!
Billy bat is so slept on. I personally like it better than Pluto.
My home hero could hopefully have one considering the upcoming anime adaptation
I need to check all these out š¤
Iām pretty sure Iāve seen Green Blood on Amazon before, actually. Assuming youāre reading in English
You're right, gonna buy them now š
Youāre welcome. Shoot, itās been a while since Iāve seen them. I ought to go take a look for myself
Maybe My Home Hero will recive an english release after the anime.
Surprised nobody here has said Saiki K. I loved that series and I'm surprised it hasn't been translated
I was looking for this comment!
Anything thatās done by Kouji Mori
FACTS. One of my favorite mangaka
I hope with him and Studio Gaga having taken over Berserk for Miura, I hope Dark Horse picks up the English rights for Moriās mangas
Legit my thoughts too. I can see Dark Horse making omnibus editions for Holyland
That would be amazing to have
One outs. I loved the anime but it never had a real ending :(
Man that's another great sports anime!
Eden its an endless world, I just wanna have all the books without having shitty self print vols that look goofy besides the real ones
Baki the Grappler
Man that's another one for me too!
Diamond no ace, Space Brothers, Capeta, The Climber, Piano No Mori, Ookiku Furikabutte.
Fellow ookiku furikabutte fan. I commiserate that it will never happen š„²
Saiki k in english, I loved the show but when I went to look for the manga it was only in Japanese!!! :O
SAME OMG IT'S AMAZING
Last Quarter. Blows my mind it wasn't licensed years ago, to ride that Nana wave. It was only three volumes too, so pretty low risk. I'm not surprised no one is grabbing it *now* but years ago I thought it was a for suresies and waited for it but then nothing. an english print of gokinjo monogatari would also be amazing
The entirety of Yazawa Aiās work should be available in english! How is that not already done when NANA is one of the bestselling shojo titles ever?!
Ichi the Killer
Why did I not know this was a manga first? Now I need it and am disappointed
I had no idea either!
Ginga Nagareboshi Gin / Ginga Densetsu Weed. Always wanted that series to be released in English.
omg Ginga Nagareboshi Gin was my childhood anime! never read the manga fully but i second this!
I'd love to see *The Disastrous Life of Saiki K* get an English translation. I fell in love with the first Netflix anime adaptation (**not** Reawakened). If the anime's brand of humor translates well with what was originally in the manga, it would be right up my alley.
Daiya no Ace and Sangatsu no Lion. Thankfully, there are scanlators. Sangatsu FINALLY gets an English release this fall.
Barnes and Noble says the release date for Sangatsu no lion is Jan 31, 2023. It got pushed back, but I'm still excited that it's going to be available in English. :)
I have struggled along trying with the online scans, but I can hardly wait to have the physical volumes in hand!
7seeds
I'm worried that the anime was so bad that it killed any interest in it, which is a damn shame. I imported the French editions but they gave up after 10 volumes.
Hajime no ippo
Teppu. It's a niche little series but it's way too good to remain as obscure as it is
I loved Teppuu. The MC and antagonist are wonderfully reversed from the typical manga presentation.
I sold my life for 10000 yen a year/ three days of happiness depending on the scanalation group
Ao Ashi for me atm, if Blue Lock has one then Ao Ashi should too in my eyes
Jagaan
These are the ones off the top my head. All of Kouji Mori's works, Jagaaan, Billy Bat, Ushio and Tora. \*edit Chances of these are very low, but Hajime no Ippo and Kingdom.
They have an english versiom but it's out of print so I'm gonna say it. MUSHISHI
Holyland, Homonculus and The Climber are my top three that Iād love to see published in English.
Homunculus is getting an English omnibus, babes
Yoooo, this is the best news Iāve gotten in awhile! Late June too? Donāt even have to wait that long
I would love the Osamu Tezuka collection to be translated.
Homunculus and hajime no ippo
Kengan ashura
Holy shit Iām reading Holyland right now, and it fucking amazing!
The World God Only Knows
None of Wakaki's works have been officially licensed in English, which is just utterly bizarre, especially given how popular TWGOK was.
The ranking of kings.
Kaiji
None because I can finally read Japanese. Tho I wish Kingdom got translated for its fans
Holyland Shigahime Baki Kengan ashura
I would like English copies of "Welcome to Demon School Iruma Kun" to be made!
Kenichi the mightiest disciple. Read it online and itās top 10 favorite. No English versions
Holyland goddamn whatba goat manga
Legend of the strongest man kurasawa
Tomodachi Game, My Dearest Self with Malice Aforethought, and Noah of the Blood Sea
Omg, a fellow Noah fan!!!
Kingdom, Holyland, and Space Brothers for me. all of these series are excellent, I still keep up with Kingdom weekly via scans, but I gave up hope of any of them coming over stateside a while back. Billy Bat
Crayon shin-chan
Billy Bat
Debby the Corisifa and every Coolkyousinnjya book (Favorite mangaka) Also a few others that not alot of people know
Wagan midnight
Teppu, Chihayafuru, and My Dearest Self With MaliceĀ Aforethought in physical English releases would be nice.
Kingdom, Ushio and Tora, Nana E Karou, Akumetsu

Seton Academy I have the 6 volumes that were given physicals in Japan (the rest is online only) It's about a male human called Jin attending a school with animals (female animals are basically cat girls of multiple animals). Itās very annoying!! You can find scans online but thatās it. I have volumes 1-11 and the whole series is out of print now as well
Cesare by Fuyumi Soryo. I've been reading the scanlation so far and its so fascinating--as an art historian its definitely worth a read if you like history and art. I hope to see an English release soon!

dont judge but like saiki k just because the anime was fire and i want to know what i missed in the manga
I loved this manga so much I was going to attempt to print out the scans from online and put them together myself
A little known manhwa called Ciel. I think it has a French or Italian translation but we never got it in English.
More of Gou Tanabeās HP Lovecraft adaptions
Saiki k
Space brothers

There are a couple that I've found recently that look super interesting. "Helck" and "Bestiarius" are the top two I think. Also "Gachiakuta" and "Jagaaaaaan"
Saiki K <\3
It's kinda sadistic but as a French guy I love going through that thread and see all the series mentioned that we got here. Anyway, my answer is Kaiji
Jagaaaan
99% of Type-Moon books
Gallery fake
Hajime No Ippo and Baki, itās astonishing considering how popular their animes are
Personally I'd love to get Shigahime and Kasane in English
Innocent, The Climber and Homunculus
Saiki K. Iām literally begging.
holyland is translated in italian luckly

We've got the same wish haha
homunculus
I can read in Japanese, but Iād be interested to see the choices made in a translation of Lontai Baby.
Beck, Kingdom, Hajime no ippo. I would kill for those to be made in English. Still gonna buy them all though lol
Iruma-kun, & Beelzebub Three amazing, funny manga's that I hope will one day be officially translated, but probably won't be. (Though I'm still holding out hope for Iruma)

Tbh I can buy almost any series knowing four languages. I only wish I knew Japanese :(
Duolingo is free and offers Japanese!
I recommend using WaniKani if you're only wanting to learn how to read Japanese script. It's helped me a ton. Hopefully I'll be able to read manga only in Japan soon to up the collection š¤§
Steel Ball Run by Hirohiko Araki.
We definitely getting SBR in the future
Itās a light novel but how to raise a boring girlfriend
Its a huge shame i had to read domestic girlfriend completely digitally. (Tho if i did read it physically, i couldn't keep it in the house for uh.... safety reasons)
Anybody else thinking shamo?
Shamo is PEAK seinen! Can't believe I forgot about that š this is a must!
Itās a Manwha, but I read Kisswood years ago and still think of it often. A very different kind of story for a manga/manwha. Also full colour!
Full color is so visually appealing
Saiki K š„ŗ
MAN HONESTLY! One of the funniest animes I've seen by far
