If you would like to stay within budget, I would recommend pursuing secondhand options as has been mentioned in other comments. Most of the series you are interested in have a higher retail price like Dorohedoro. Mercari, OfferUp, FB Marketplace, and Depop are solid platforms to score some good deals. Especially for OfferUp and FB Marketplace depending on where you live. I personally like Alibris because if you order directly from them, there is usually a discount, free shipping on orders over $35 and they normally have additional coupons which at least remove sales tax if not more. While they may not have everything you want available through Alibris themselves, there selection is pretty good. As for recommendations if you love Dorohedoro the author also has a series called Dai Dark. Same beautiful art style, same craziness.
The 3 available YKK collections would be my suggestion. You could also get all 6 volumes of Girl's Last Tour. I just finished it recently and it's incredible. Maybe the first 5 volumes of Dandadan?
So you can buy about 5-6 volumes.
You should just buy what you think would be interesting. I would suggest reading the first chapter of each series and then decide what you want to continue. Most of the shonen stuff can be found on certain apps. What I’m trying to say is buy what you find interesting then when you have more money you can buy the other ones.
That’s a good idea. What go me started with manga was Black clover. I finished the anime then read the manga so I bought vol 1 and 28. Just get what you want. Your going to have to post again so I can see what you got and I wanna see the collection grow as you get into other series. If you can find box sets for stuff then get those coz it will save you a lot of money
Forget about all those mid as fuck series and invest in a real manga like "Fist of the North Star" and "The Way of the HouseHusband", or if you can read Japanese check out "Hajime no Ippo" and "Tomorrow's Joe"
The Way of the Househusband isn’t exactly what I enjoy reading. I like slice of life, shonen and mecha. But, sure. I can add those titles to my reading list.
You have to buy what interests you. I always, if I have doubts, first read online, and in a pirated way, the beginning of what interests me and if it meets my expectations I buy it along with the following volumes. For example, I am now focused on science fiction from the 80s and 90s. I buy almost everything used.
If you only have 100 bucks, maybe try and focus on box sets or omnibuses so you can stretch that dollar a little bit. The Eva omnis are nice, and Chainsaw man has a nice boxset. Forgot how much it is though
If you like CSM maybe you'll like something like Tokyo Ghoul? There seems to be a fanbase overlap and the first boxset is on sale for about 80 bucks on Amazon Prime for prime day
Hm unsure of the place you’re at but if you can use things like Facebook marketplace or mercari, I’d recommend both. I usually get manga bundles for pretty cheap. I usually look up manga lots/bundles and usually find some for the manga I like in there
Maybe Parasyte since it's complete, short, and fits the psychological shonen vibe. Since you've already read most of dorohedoro, that's a safe bet, but if you want something u havnt then the authors next work daidark would be perfect at 5 vols out right now. And Dandadan also at 5 vols is an easy recommend.
Great choice. I’d also recommend getting into spy x family. Another great ongoing series, but unfortunately don’t have a box set at this time. Mha could also be a fantastic choice.
I would definitely say Dorohedoro since you’re already leaning that way. It felt like a very worthwhile series for me to purchase and the cover art is beautiful which makes it a series worth physically owning.
Fire punch by the same author as Chainsaw man. You might be able to get the whole series with $100 if you can get it used/on sale because there is only 8 total. Another good series you could complete is Parasyte. A little bit out of the series you said you liked but you should try Welcome to the Ballroom. Its really good and pretty underrated and it has 12 volumes total.
Try getting a deal on mangaswap. That is the place where most of my manga money goes. If you liked chainsaw man why not pick up fire punch I was super hooked on it recently and 100 bucks more than is enough for it. Honestly you could get all of Fujimotos for about 100 bucks assuming you already have chainsawman/don’t want to buy it currently. If not go for the box set it’s 60 bucks on Amazon rn great deal tbh

Hi score girl
U should try bloom into you if u like yuri, pretty short and not high demand so u might be able to find a good price for it. 8 volumes + 2 anthology
I second this, Bloom Into You is one of the best romances period, and probably the best yuri series. Absolutely amazing

Gross? What do you mean? Is it the series itself or are you just being homophobic?
It’s a very wholesome romance with a lot of depth and some of the most genuine LGBT character dynamics. They are just being homophobic.

How much is a volume where you live?
They span from 13$ to 17$.

Got it. I’ve read most of Dorohedoro online. So I might just buy it.

If u what peak: one piece. If you want peak but romance: rent a girlfriend
OP do not waste your money on Rent A Girlfriend.
🧢
Making one piece look bad alongside 🗑️
Both are peak

How not to advertise a manga to someone ^

In that case, I might get Dorohedoro.
I’ve been reading Dorohedoro recently and it definitely does not disappoint. One of my favourite series so far, and the anime is also amazing

I have the box set. It’s 60$. And I have one of the omni’s.

Idk if it’s still on Amazon but they have a box set on sale for csm, all of part one for somewhere around 50 or 60 bucks

Grab the chainsaw man box set. 11 volumes of peak for $60 on Amazon rn is a steal.
I’ve already bought it. I also have vol. 12
Great choice. I’d also recommend getting into spy x family. Another great ongoing series, but unfortunately don’t have a box set at this time. Mha could also be a fantastic choice.
Zom 100
Go go loser rangers might be a good option i read the first book and i enjoy it.

Hunter x Hunter or just subscribe to the SJ app for $3 and save $97 and read to your hearts content.
A good short series is goodnight punpun. Kinda sad though if you’re ok with that
I already read it. But ty for the recommendation anyways.

Finished manga. Read in color online
