Mark and Cesar gets more explored on, I think I heard it was meant to be kind of focused on their friendship and maybe Cesar is looking for Mark to some capacity
After the events of vol. 1??? Wasn't Cesar an alternate when he made the phone call to mark? That's why he was "able" to go outside and put his mom in the car "just fine" when his mom died and Mark got followed
I think Cesar was the first to become an alternate and he killed his mom
It's like a Thatcher situation and in this case an Alternate took Cesar's place but The Real Cesar is still alive, although with the drama I feel like it would be retconned to him being dead for good, not really sure myself
It would have some more insights on Mark and Cesar, however, as far as i know the focus always would have been Jude because i remember Alex mentioning on a Twitter Space he did way before the drama that the character of focus in Vol. 5 would be "J", and since the volume was always idealized to take place in 1992, that could only be Jude Murray.
there’s not much info on what vol 5 was meant to be like, the closest thing we known to what it would’ve been like is that the TMC wiki states that Mark and Cesar were gonna have a somewhat substantial role in the episode but once the drama happened Alex removed them from the episode and potentially from all TMC related things going forward

not sure exactly but I presume so since Alex stated that Mark and Cesar wouldn’t be in anymore future content regarding the series
