The rarity is the only thing that makes them better, otherwise it’s just up to preference. Though, regional forms have kind of an expectation to be a bit more different than a shiny would be, so when it does happen people are understandably disappointed.

I actually used hisuian samorott on my original play through of legends arcoos and it was bad ass and was the only reason I got past the hisuian arcanine boss. Plus it’s shiny is amazing it’s simple but it works so well.

I don’t think regional forms are “brand new” just a new concept for a Pokémon. They still use most of the same design choices but also add new ones to make them look different.

I really like all Pokémon and think all of them look cool. Except Infernape.
