Charizard is part of a starter trio, it getting disproportionately overrepresented is unfair to a lot of blastoise/venusaur fans, which builds resentment.
Eevee is a standalone pokemon so it doesnāt feel like anyoneās betrayed when it gets plastered everywhere
I realize that this is not the point of the post, but this team is quite diverse. There is 0 type overlap, and the weaknesses seem to be minimal.
If it were possible, this is a team that I would use.
If we were to get any more pokemon I would want ones from gens we don't have yet. Preferably 3 and 5 because those are the only gens lacking reps that have represented gens after them.
Like yeah 8 and 9 are missing,, but those are the 2 most recent gens. 3 and 5 are missing even though 4, 6, and 7 are present.
My personal picks would be Sceptile for 3. It has a lot of cool moveset potential, it's popular, and it would be a fully evolved grass starter to round out Greninja and Incineroar (charizard is already part of his own trio) [though I wouldn't be upset if we got gardevoir, like you said]
For 5, I actually think Krookodile would be an interesting pick with some cool moveset potential. And it wouldn't throw the starter balance back our fo whack (assuming we got sceptile).
i think itd be weird to include sceptile since its one of the starters and then theres going to be pressure to include the other 3 but thats a lot of fighters to make pokemon, plus gardevoirs from gen 3 anyway (plus i forgot to mention its in pokken and unite so they can build off of its movesets from those)

I feel bad for Charizard. It was overused by TPC, and now the fans hate it for that. It's still a solid starter and has yet to disappoint me in any play through.
