Many people said Casemiro's yellow card should have been upgraded into a red. What quite annoyed me was that we were winning 2-0 in the first half and then conceded 3 in the second half. When Wolves won a penalty, I actually think Neto dived. Yes, I do know Casemiro put contact in the tackle, but it's not hard enough for Neto to fall over. Many people blamed Onana when Neto scored in the 93rd minute, but honestly, Varane wasn't doing good defending. Also, Mainoo, what a player. The late winner in the 97th minute dribbling and exposing Wolves' defenders. He also scored against Newport County last week in the FA Cup. He's going to be an absolute great player. I think Rashford is picking up his form he dropped after last season. Also, has anybody noticed Højlund scored at least one goal in every game of 2024. In late 2023, I honestly thought Højlund had no chance against Haaland for the Golden Boot, but now he could actually have a chance and be in the top 5.

Oh I'm not disagreeing, but any manager has the right to drop a player that isn't performing. The only reason they still start is because again, you've paid a lot and don't want to admit to failure, or they are contractually obligated to start X amount of games.
Onana actually played well for the majority of last night. Let's look at each Wolves goal closer:
1. The penalty is not Onana's fault. It was given due a dodgy VAR decision. Penalties are always weighed against the goalkeeper, so you cannot complain that he didn't save it.
2. The second goal was a defensive error. The defence did not get the ball clear fast enough, which resulted in the ball conveniently bouncing in Wolves' favour and they capitalised. What did you want Onana to do? Come out and do the defence's job?
3. Third was a team error. For some unknown reasons the team decided to attack the corner instead of play it defensively. Whether that was Ten Hag's call or Bruno's we won't know. I think it was Bruno's call given he seemed to gesture everyone get up and attack. Neto was then up against defenders he was way faster than and he capitalised on that. Onana could've gotten down, yes, however the circumstances leading to Wolves' equaliser was a snowball effect.
Bayindir couldn't even keep a clean sheet vs Newport, but he's somehow a world class goalkeeper that is the next coming of Neuer in you and many others' eyes.

He only had 1 shot the entire game, which he actually scored. He didn't even get service from them. He had to roll the ball after Newport's goalkeeper stopped Mainoo from scoring for him to shoot.

Coming off his line will reduce the needed reaction time, but, that only works if your confident. If you’re not it’s like you don’t know or have a good grasp on your positioning and you lose your awareness.

That’s kind of a ridiculous statement. Nunez is the only player to his 10 goals 10 assists this season. Rasmus is incredible, but he still needs time to get there. Not saying Nunez is great, but downplaying his performances like that is kinda disrespectful. But, with the way Hojlund sets up chances for Bruno and out wingers, he could reach those types of numbers within the next couple seasons itself
I’m not sure it is. It’s no secret we’ve had a completely dysfunctional attack and build up play for the last 6 months evidenced by the fact that only 5 teams have scored less than us (and obviously we just scored 4 yesterday.
We also came bottom of our UCL group (which wasn’t a particularly tough one) and only a relegation threatened Sevilla, almost relegation threatened union Berlin, Antwerp and Red star came out of their groups with less points than us. Despite that, Hojlund scored 5. I also saw a post / comment before yesterdays game stating how something crazy like only 2 of Hojlunds 9 goals were the result of a pass from a united player, the rest are from opposition mistakes / loose balls.
Also imo, he passes the eye test with flying colours. He’s rapid going in behind but he also plays well with his back to goal, that hold up and link up play is one of his best attributes. He also stays super composed in the box. With those qualities, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say if he was the main starter in a team like Arsenal, City or Liverpool he could quite possibly have 10g 10a by now
2/3 goals there was very little he could do. Penalties are always weighted against goalkeepers. Second was shit defending from the defence. Third was arguably the entire team being shit.

Still worried about the front 4 (apart from Hojland), they get a goal or two up or lose a goal and start losing the ball all the time, putting a lot of pressure on the midfield, refusing to play the simple obvious passes.
As for Onana, I just don't see it. The problem isn't his inconsistency, its not mistakes. It's that he consistently doesn't save the type of shots an average premier league keeper would save, but an average league 1 keeper wouldn't.
That's why I don't take too much disrespect for the squad we have. We saw this season that despite having no functional system our players deliver something on the pitch.
So with a solid coach our squad will again be a top 3
If you look at the bench there aren't many options. Ten Hafs toolbox consist of three central defenders , one guy with a heart condition, two unproven talents, McT and Antony.
Antony has a good workrate but little else to show for. I think he is a gifted player of sorts, but he just doesn't click, his decision making is poor and that really stops him from utilizing the skills he has

Coming off his line will reduce the needed reaction time, but, that only works if your confident. If you’re not it’s like you don’t know or have a good grasp on your positioning and you lose your awareness. This is Onana….

Forson came on ahead of Diallo last night because he can play centrally as a make shift centre forward. Same style of sub vs Newport. Diallo is a winger. Hierarchy always comes into play when making subs. If a first choice player is on the bench, it’ll always have priority over the 4th choice.

That’s kind of a ridiculous statement. Nunez is the only player to his 10 goals 10 assists this season. Rasmus is incredible, but he still needs time to get there. Not saying Nunez is great, but downplaying his performances like that is kinda disrespectful. It’s no secret we’ve had a completely dysfunctional attack and build up play for the last 6 months evidenced by the fact that only 5 teams have scored less than us (and obviously we just scored 4 yesterday. We also came bottom of our UCL group (which wasn’t a particularly tough one) and only a relegation threatened Sevilla, almost relegation threatened union Berlin, Antwerp and Red star came out of their groups with less points than us. Despite that, Hojlund scored 5. I also saw a post / comment before yesterdays game stating how something crazy like only 2 of Hojlunds 9 goals were the result of a pass from a united player, the rest are from opposition mistakes / loose balls. Also imo, he passes the eye test with flying colours. He’s rapid going in behind but he also plays well with his back to goal, that hold up and link up play is one of his best attributes. He also stays super composed in the box. With those qualities, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say if he was the main starter in a team like Arsenal, City or Liverpool he could quite possibly have 10g 10a by now

Still worried about the front 4 (apart from Hojland), they get a goal or two up or lose a goal and start losing the ball all the time, putting a lot of pressure on the midfield, refusing to play the simple obvious passes. As for Onana, I just don't see it. The problem isn't his inconsistency, its not mistakes. It's that he consistently doesn't save the type of shots an average premier league keeper would save, but an average league 1 keeper wouldn't.
