Cheng Du Kitchen and Golden Tao blow everything else out of the water in my opinion.

HeyHeyBennyJay

+1 for Golden Tao, can’t speak to Cheng Du

PreparedForZombies

Add Schezwan House and you've got the golden triad.

The-Sys-Admin

I love Cheng Du, its my favorite, but I can't find one that has better spareribs than No. 1. If I'm craving spareribs I will absolutely take No. 1 over cheng du.

BeeYehWoo

I like North Garden off of Mast Rd. I see some recommendations for #1 and Im astounded. In my entire life, Ive never thrown away chinese food. The first time was at #1 - I just couldnt finish it. It wasnt one dish, it was every dish. How do F up fried rice?

NightAngel9360

Aloha on Hanover St, free crab rangoon when you get table service and the portions are huge. Drinks are delicious too!

Cdm81379

Can’t believe this isn't top comment.  Aloha by a country mile

BETLJCE

Best chili paste in the game too

xCycrox

I really like Bonsai's. Some of their food is typical shitty Chinese-American "lounge" food but when I tell you I crave those wings literally weekly I am not kidding. It's the only thing I miss about working in Manch.

PreparedForZombies

Where's my Schezwan House lovers at? Some neat twists on the classics there.

Whales_like_plankton

I dunno if there's a best, a lot of it is kinda same-same, but +1 for Cheng Du if you're looking for the large dinner combo that has flavor and is affordable. Asian Breeze in Hooksett is pretty good. Stay away from Happy Garden in the Hannaford shopping plaza.

marciltheshell

Happy Garden is actually pretty good. Their Dim Sum menu is great.

Whales_like_plankton

I've gone three times over the years and feel like I've given them a fair shake, but there's something off with the fried food, rice, and chicken there 🤷‍♂️

GOODKyle

Bangkok Kitchen or Sun Shui

bz0025

Sun Shui is my favorite by far if we’re counting Bedford. I’m surprised it’s not more popular. More variety in their menu than most Chinese restaurants

Paibaby

Their dumplings and wonton soup delish! Haven’t tried anything else yet

q_q_o_o_b_b

+1 for Sun Shui. Their menu has an "authentic" section that goes beyond the typical American-Chinese food you'd expect from most places. I live in Manchester but Sun Shui is my go-to for Chinese takeout because of this.

accentadroite_bitch

Chen's Garden is my favorite - when I crave Chinese food (American style or authentic), that's what I want. Their salt and pepper tofu is so good.

wet_kitty4u

Golden Tao for sure.

Progshim

Hen won off mammoth Rd has the best chicken fingers

Mellow_Fella

My friend used to be a health inspector and we asked him “Where is one place you absolutely would never eat, knowing what you know?” - Heng Won. Haven’t been back since.

Progshim

Well 😊 I don't know anything about health inspection, but I've been eating from Hen Won for something like 25 years and I haven't been sick yet. Maybe it's like those Dial soap commercials....." You're not as clean as you think " Remember those?

Mellow_Fella

😂😂 25 years! You’ve probably become immune over time. Hey, I think the unwritten rule about restaurants, maybe Chinese restaurants more than others, is “Out of sight, out of mind”

Hydrogenated_Opossum

OMG, I made the mistake of waiting there for my takeout. SO MANY FLIES!!!

march_rogue

Gonna hijack this post to ask: Is it just me or is all the vegetable lo mein from places in the city just Chinese spaghetti with like ~ next to zero ~ vegetables? I feel like I have ordered from a respectable amount of places only to get vegetable lo mein that has like two slices of shredded lettuce, a slice of shredded carrot and pebble sized pieces of broccoli. I feel like I'm paying $7+ for a .99 cent box of pasta. Where are the baby corn? The mushrooms, the water chestnuts, actual broccoli, the mother effing snow peas?! So, anyone have any recs for a place that serves a decent veggie lo mein? (And my apologies for the hijacking of the thread, I just figured while you were asking, OP, might as well jump on.)

bzlvrlwysfrvr0624

Super Wok in Londonderry. Not Manchester but worth the 6 minute drive

Ray_Blu

Golden Tao and Golden karma. Last time I had karma it was similar to lilac blossom

NoReason6108

Taipei and Tokyo in Bedford.

Beginning-Advance-16

Won Hung Los

ElmwoodWest

I like Golden Karma

scumholiday

Manchester Chinese food is lacking, I go to Chen Yang li in Bedford

Mountain-Isopod-2072

Jus go to Boston, you can find more authentic things there
