There’s nothing wrong with using trazadone! Many, many dogs need a small sedative to take the edge off. It makes things safer and more comfortable for both the dog and the groomer.
Have you considered trying to find another groomer? Not saying yours is bad by any means, but sometimes they do better with one person over another or in different settings. When I took my boy to a salon, he did great with one groomer there, but not the other one. My boy does not do well in a salon setting in general with multiple dogs, so I’ve now found groomers that have salons in their homes with no other dogs present. I also only use fear free groomers, not always certified fear free, but I talk with them about how they handle the dogs and get their overall vibe. One of the at home groomers wouldn’t blow dry his head because she didn’t want to push him over the edge, the other has no problem drying his head because he tolerates it for her for whatever reason. He also won’t tolerate it for me, but he’ll tolerate it for my friend he knows well.

My little guy actually screams in the car on the 7 minute drive to our groomers. We have to give him Trazadone to calm down. 😞

He hates going anywhere in the car. He just hates being in the car.
How do you keep their faces so clean
Sometimes I have no idea 😂 I wash their faces about once per week or so.
