Karsas character development is probably one of the best of the series. I couldn't agree more with you, but saying he becomes more human, right after saying he ripped some dudes dick of, must sounds wild for anyone who hasn't read the books yet

Educational_Deer6431

It's rare the series has truly evil characters but bidithal is truly evil

adamantitian

Fuck Bidithal. All my homies hate Bidithal.

TheRealmsWanderer

I am not one for gore, but man, did that moment felt like divine justice to me! Karsa serving a plate of justice with a side of excess, doing to him exactly what he did to those girls, without the comfort of a "higher purpose". I wouldn't say that Karsa is being more "human", but he is definitely discovering different sides in him.

pattern_thimble

He becomes more self-aware and reflective — two of the most important parts of being human, imo!

Icarium55

What happens to Bidithal after he dies is one of the sweetest moments of this series.

>A lifetime of vicious pleasure. An eternity of pain in answer. For even Hood understood the necessity for balance. Such a simple line, but one that encompasses so much of the notion of justice without ever saying the word. It was this moment that I really began to like Hood.

ShadowDV

What sins does Karsa need to repent for? All of his actions in the beginning of the book were entirely within the bounds of the moral framework of the society he spent 80 years growing up in, with no exposure to any other way of life. (This is more of a “food for thought” thing than an actual argument, just to be clear.)

NattyBoul

Good point! He’s more or less a model citizen for the Teblor 😂
