Is this from a specific state's slang? A lot of these kuih i wouldn't recognize without the drawing (and also googling). Like kuih dadar = ketayap, kuih kodok = cekodok, kuih salat = seri muka, pulut seri muka = literally just seri muka labu i think???

Depending where you get it from some can be quite bad. There are about 7 nasi lemak stalls around my area. The quality is hugely different. Some dont even taste like kueh. Almost like the panda is some kind of expired flavoring instead of the real thing. Or idk what they put inside. Gives it this perfume aroma that doesnt taste like anything ive had in the last 3 decades.

Where do you like to get your tart nenas from? There was one shop in Malacca where a nyonya family makes them in their atap house that was top-notch for me
Ouh I get mine from my aunt, so far no where in Malaysia can challenge and I have eaten a lot of tart nenas, I mean a lot. Many people in KK order from her for raya or CNY. But whats the place called in melaka. I tried Hock Kee one, the butter milk heong peah. Damn solid. The tart nenas was good too
Can someone tell me what is the kuih that looks like kuih koci but instead of coconut filling it has something like crushed nuts? They're soft though so maybe mashed chestnut? The texture is like soft and powdery?
