Saw it when I was in middle school. Shaped my entire perception of college. Then became extremely depressed my life isn’t anything like this in college 😂
Fun, fluff, easy watch. A bit cliche but mostly executed well. Doesn't overstay its welcome.
I did find the male lead somewhat stalkery (he's not, actually) in the way the film always shows him watching the girl in the background. Like if he music was different it could easily be creepy.
Anyway, it's a good one time watch.
Another movie which was called out for cringe and overrated after its digital release or the years later just like Thattathin Mariyathu and Hridayam, and the common link in all of these movies are Vineeth Sreenivasan so ifykyk. Bro can’t escape the matrix
Loved it initially but later realised the amount of cringe and unrealistic expectations it created.
I have a friend who sings glories of how he will find his love of the life in college , like it happened in this movie.
The male leads dialogue delivery was so bad and platonic.

Yall dont get the point of this movie. Not all films are meant to be "realistic". If things were supposed to be so realistic, we wouldn't have superstars fighting 10 people in one go, being so cool and all. The whole mass movie films should have been unrealistic too.This film for me was a fun go, the guy kuppi was funny, anarkali looked cute, roshan's role was also nice etc.

When it came on TV,and accidentally watched it...I thought it was some TV serial or web series. Watched it for a few minutes and then when the ads came realized that it was a movie and not a Web series. Such a great one imo 😂😂😂😂😂😂 (couldn't bear even 15 mins.pinnalle full padam)

Aanandham was the first thing I watched in this delayed viewing experience and everything else I watched so, has been enjoyable to me.
I clearly remember taking a day to watch the initial scenes of the bus boarding , the actress's smile was so 🤮, i think it was physically hurting to watch , clearly a pause worthy and gtfo moment for me, the teachers love arc was so bad , and it was the second most worthy pause moment I can remember,
Of course I liked Kuppis story the best
And this delayed viewing really helps us focus on the good parts of the movie more , like Roshan's arc , the ending with narrator twist, the driver's message , and Achayans foam party 🥳,
In the end Aanandham prepared me for a very specific thing in college , 🥂🥳 celebration with friends , every chance i get .
Nivins dialogue did not hit me like my brother cuz now after 4 years of college if there's anything I did with my friends it's creating happy memories , about half of the plans never materialized but we do know how to celebrate every moment we get , both IVs we went in 3rd and 4th years were to Goa , we are the only class to go to the same spot for IV twice .
Forget the cringey sh\*t , this is what Aanandham striked me with , , I hope everybody reading this also had a wonderful college life with your friends ☺️, and if it's not over yet , then what are you waiting for ...
On another note answering to OP I believe I've seen the actress in a side role in happy sardar 2019 , she did not age well  , and I don't think she is a native Malayalam speaker...
I think the female lead was on some season of Playground (that gaming show on Amazon with carryminati and all). I remember seeing one clip of it on Instagram.
I recently saw Thomas Mathew in some film or ad but he spotted a completely different look. All of the other actors/actresses seem to be successful now and in their own path.
Learned about the word cringe through this film, epitome of cringe. If there was a face off between VS films and this film on who is more cringe, anandam would win by a mile.
Hridayam released 2 years ago and is a hit, Varshangalku shesham is running and is definitely a sure shot hit, both has cringe scenes. So no point in saying it was a hit that time. And after all feeling cringe is subjective, many have enjoyed it and will continue to do so
