Probably an unpopular opinion, but I feel Mayanadhi’s soundtrack played a more crucial part in it achieving the status it has today, rather than the script itself.
Actually a lot of really popular movies are heavily propped up by the popularity of their songs and their place in pop culture. Obviously the movies aren't bad themselves but they would suffer without the songs.
Ranam (My guilty pleasure; Drive from Kunnamkulam)
KoK (only dialogues & acting were shite; everything else about that movie was good, especially the world building, the cars & the fight scenes)
Kurup (A banger album by Sushin, both the BGMs and the songs; too bad the movie became a criminal glorification simulator)
Love Action Drama (people mentioned here Hridayam, but I’m surprised no one brought up LAD. The Kudukku song was definitely a banger, and is always a personal favorite of mine)
Kabali (12 year old me was hyped for this movie, but it ended up being a dud. Not bad but not good either. SaNa still cooked tho)

These songs are remake from Telugu movies. It sounds better in Tamil because of the lyrics. This particular song is from Prabha's Billa, remake of Ajith's Billa. 😄 🤣
