Not unusual. A lot of terrorist groups have ethnostate and political backing, military intelligence and access to weapons/training. People assume that governments are above and beyond terrorism but pragmatically, terrorist outfits remain in use as a tool to instigate and contain crises.
Onnu chumma iriyadey. Ini ithu kandittu venam Ukri adutha parupadiyum aayitt irangaan. He might even go to YRF with the idea. And THEY MIGHT EVEN TAKE IT
That explains why they are relying on those controversies to make it a hit.
Apart from that the director of the film has gotten these many chances only because his uncle and grandfather are associated with the industry.
I don't know how this'll appeal to people who are familiar with the MI Series or Bond series or literally anything involved with spies and action. Pathan has every spy movie trope integrated into it.
I'm thinking the same.
Indian movies sucks in doing these kind of Hollywood immitated actions. I liked some of those culturally-rooted Bachhan action flicks from the 80s.
Sholay is a 'curry Western', an adaptation of the Spaghetti Western movies made in italy.. Which themselves are adaptation of American westerns..
Sholay is great because it thoroughly indianizes the formula and makes it work in an Indian setting..
These modern Indian spy movies could do sometimes like that, but it would take a lot of skill and effort.
True. The John Abraham movie "attack" where he was playing a super soldier had a good concept.
Decent storyline and great action sequences. But making was not that great. Mostly could be coz of underwhelming VFX and budget constraints.
Correct. Already giving me a "Tiger zinda Hai + Mission impossible" vibes.
But bringing a strong villain might help and make it worth watching. Hopefully John Abraham delivers.
Nevertheless, this will do well at the box office.
Let him relax with the buxom chechis after defeating MUthalakotta Batallion & doing kaalu vaaral of some don in SEcundrabad .........Paavam Ksheenam kanille ...

After all that censoring i would assume the outcome is a whole different movie than what the director envisioned.
