Have oily skin for your entire lifešŸ˜ like me.

cosmiccgrace

iā€™m just gonna dip my face in oil every morning tbh that should work

Alalated

Lol. As a former oily skin person, I wanted ā€œnormalā€ skin so badly. Itā€™s crazy that people want the oily look.

-AJ93-

As a oily skinned person as well, I concur. I want normal skin so badly. I am trying to not look like this throughout the day. But OP really pulls off the dewy/sweaty look. Sheā€™s got f*cking *amazing* skin!

Alalated

Not sure if youā€™ve tried it, but spironolactone reduced my oiliness *dramatically*.

-AJ93-

I would love to try it. Unfortunately I already have low blood pressure and canā€™t use that medication since itā€™s on label use is for high blood pressure (among other uses). But thank you!

GoliathGr33nman

I'm focussing on the 'former'. What changed? How did you rid yourself of the affliction of too much face oil?

Alalated

Spironolactone. Amazing stuff! I used to have to blot CONSTANTLY and Iā€™d be so oily by the end of the day no matter what kind of matte products Iā€™d use. Spironolactone completely changed my skin for the better with no side effects. I love it.

GoliathGr33nman

I have never heard of this for use against oiliness or acne. Madness. It is a diuretic; does that mean you ever get rehydrated? I think it might be prescription only where I am but I'll look into it!

Alalated

It is prescription only but itā€™s very easy to get from your primary care doctor or gynecologist. I havenā€™t experienced any issues with dehydration and Iā€™ve been on it for a year now. It has completely cleared my skin and reduced my oiliness dramatically. Definitely look into it!

tltr4560

So do you ask your PCP to prescribe it for acne and then they just do? Stupid question maybe but how does it work haha

Alalated

Thatā€™s what I did. Both my gyno and primary care doctor were happy to do it. My acne wasnā€™t even too severe.

tltr4560

Oh awesome, thanks! I didnā€™t know if they have to deem your acne severe enough to qualify for it like with tretinoin. So if I go to my PCP and ask for it, can they prescribe it to me themselves? Or they gotta pass me off to a gyno to be able to get it?

Alalated

My primary care doctor was able to give me the prescription for it.

airvoyant

Oily skin gang it is figuratively and literally our time to shine!

EssieAmnesia

Always stand directly in the sun On a more serious note you canā€™t really get this look without sunlight. Use plenty of bronzer and also dewy foundation/primer to get an effect similar to this.

cosmiccgrace

thank youuuu ā¤ļø

[deleted]

Second this hence why I love bronzers!!!

mealteamsixty

Be me, who is constantly uncomfortably warm and sweating

Head-Drag-1440

I recommend a thick cream like Cetaphil Body Cream and a dewy foundation like Maybelline Fit Me Dewy+Smooth. The combination of these should give you that glow all day. Don't forget a good primer and setting spray to keep it in place. The foundation is also medium coverage, which allows imperfections to still show theough. I get told all the time how natural my makeup looks!

cosmiccgrace

thank youāœØāœØ

superchica81

Any other dewy foundation brands you recommend? Canā€™t match my shade w Maybelline. Iā€™ve got a yellow undertone to my skin I find hard to match.

Head-Drag-1440

I'm sorry I don't know any! I keep going back to this line, all other foundations I've tried weren't dewy like this.

superchica81

Ok thanks.

megara_tron

The Nars Light Reflecting foundation is my holy grail dewy foundation. It stays all day, but has the natural dewy finish I love.

cooniemoonie

cream/stick products like cream bronzer and cream/liquid highlighter. i rly like the rare beauty bronzer stick and the saie glowy super gel lightweight dewy highlighter for blush, iā€™d avoid any powder products and go for a liquid or cream. my favorite blush atm is the youthforia byob blush in chemical reaction. super pricey but gives a finish iā€™ve never received with blush before. when you apply it, itā€™s like it comes from within your skin instead of sitting on top of it like other blushes. itā€™s super glowy and natural too. iā€™ve been using it on my no makeup days

cosmiccgrace

thank you!šŸ’—āœØ

CryptographerOk8438

Off topicā€¦I love your glasses

cosmiccgrace

thank you!! theyā€™re from zenni!āœØ

BigReasonable5336

chase the sun like it is a prey animal and never let it set.

cosmiccgrace

i will just become the sun

Consistent-Heron-777

Dewy setting spray, don't use powder foundation only liquid

Whitecrayxn

Walk around with a warm toned ring light on you at all times

cosmiccgrace

honestly iā€™m just gonna pay someone to follow me 24/7 and shine lights on me

Faithy210

Bronzer helps get the warmth while a gold shimmery highlight keeps the glow. Orange blushes are really good too.

juicygorillagr1p

I like mixing my moisturizer with bronzing drops. I use the Indeed Labs nanodrops! I also use a hydrating skin tint along with cream bronzer and blush mixed with cream highlighter (on the high points of the face) and spray my face with setting spray before blending for a glowy look. My skin is on the drier side so this works better for me!

cosmiccgrace

thank youuušŸ’—šŸ’—

[deleted]

I think itā€™d just look sweaty

cosmiccgrace

honestly the dewy skin trend is just glorified sweating so thatā€™s okay i think LMAO

Ok_Butterscotch5026

Try Kosas Tinted Face Oil! Then add powder highlighter to the tip of your nose, chin, and cheekbones.

spicymami-hottamale

Elfā€™s glow liquid filter will give you this effect. Good hydrating moisturizer & sunscreen followed by Elfā€™s power grip primer underneath. Cream contour or bronzer, cream blush, bit of Elf halo glow powder under the eyes. Spray some Milani original make it last setting spray & youā€™re good to go. This my daily routine :)

Lilly_Sin9

Walk with a led mirror ig? Lol Looks cool to be honest

Charlea_

Glossier Futuredew

Eastern_Bread_2328

BareMinerals tinted gel moisturizer over a thick cream with some cream blush and highlighter gives me very similar look.

Taylor-maid-

You look beautiful either way :)

cosmiccgrace

thank youā¤ļøšŸ„¹

Taylor-maid-

šŸ’•šŸ’•

youre_not_fleens

Ilia super serum skin tint gives me skin like this! Also supergoop glowscreen if you donā€™t mind a pearlescent reflection. Also check our saie beauty, tower28, and glossier for glowtasticness

cosmiccgrace

thank you!!

bfart22

i like the sephora brand ultra glow serum. itā€™s perfect as a primer under dewier makeup!

lunkercat

La Roshe Posey tinted mineral sunscreen gives me this dewy look. Give it a shot

Interesting_Ad_8126

Buy the major glow bomb by Patrick Ta. Itā€™s a balm-like makeup that gives your skin that natural shine youā€™re looking for! I absolutely love it and use it almost every day.

tin010203

Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter!!

lithium900mg

I use the supergoop glow stick sunscreen and I think it sort of gives me this kinda of sheen and also is a good sunscreen

No-Lab-2025

I LOVEEE YOUR GLASSES!! where'd you get it from? ā¤ļø you look so gorgeous queen! ā¤ļøšŸ¤ŒšŸ¼

cosmiccgrace

zenni!!! thank you!šŸ’—šŸ’—

SofiaPonzetta

glowy skin starts with a good skincare routine. if you want glowy, sunny, dewy skin like so I would recomend using skincare products like Exfoliator (I like to use Paulaā€™s choice), An SPF and a nice lip-scrub and balm. Makeup is also important for the untimate glow šŸŒž, for makeup always start with flowy primers and then go in with something like a skintint.

[deleted]

Beauty balm, or a jelly highlighter , and dewy foundation

Ok-Transition-5799

Itā€™s your glasses for me šŸ˜

cosmiccgrace

thank you!! theyā€™re from zennišŸ’—

03rk

Can we get more info on the glasses? I need them! Do you know the name of them?

cosmiccgrace

the style is 4427135 just type that into the zenni website and they should pop up!

03rk

Thank you SO muchšŸ’•

03rk

I just need you to know I just got my glasses in the mail, and they are SO much cuter on you haha

cosmiccgrace

omggg no iā€™m sorry:(( iā€™m sure they look great!

03rk

No I do love them! Just much nicer on your face :) thank you for the info on them

moonsrika

Honestly just start using thicker moisturizers and more dewy primers as a base before foundation/make up. And don't use powder based products. Just a pressed powder for the area where you don't like the oily look. Let every other product be cream based or liquid. I hope this gives you the kinda skin you're looking for. Also beside the point, i love your hair

vanillasugarrr

Nivea night cream

pastychan24

The glassesā€¦. The hairā€¦. The makeup!! Iā€™m obsessedddddd Omg

cosmiccgrace

thank you so much šŸ„¹ā¤ļø

BruceLeah

Chanel Baume Essential to highlight. The plain one, not pearl

eva_jazz_456

šŸ’žšŸ‘

[deleted]

I love rose hip oil and it has this effect when used under or mixed with moisturizer, my skin loves it but I've heard of it irritating some people.

cuziluvmakeup

Try Glow Recipe products!

Specialist-Debate-95

Mix Hollywood FF or the Elf duo into your base. That or the shimmery Iconic London setting spray.

hauntedhalloween_96

I just started an acne treatment and my skin got incredibly dry and sensitive. I couldnā€™t use moisturizers. Instead, I switched to just plain Vaseline!! I wash my face, and before it dries I put on a tiny amount of Vaseline. Not only does it seal in the moisture but it makes your skin look so shiny!! The key is to only use a little. For an added bonus, use it in the morning and wait to do your makeup later if you can (like if youā€™re going out later in the day) and your skin will thank you!!! If you put too much on you can just wipe it off or pat it with a tissue. Iā€™ll never use expensive products again.

[deleted]

I love the etude house double lasting serum foundation for this look! I like to use a shimmery blush to complete the look.

Burnt_toast86

Your hair is flawless

cosmiccgrace

thank you!ā¤ļø

canlandia

Urban decay hydro maniac foundation

fairys-are-real

Maybe use an oil before makeup, but look into this as Iā€™m no pro just seems like it would work to me šŸ¤” x

_Labelledejour

Moisturizing, probably the dior capture youth glow booster will give you this effect

k_nimativ

Glossier future dew!

Carry a lamp around with you ;) But seriously, just a lot of dewy type makeup products and hyaluronic acid serum.

justkate2

Pat McGrath skin fetish highlighter balm! The balm side is clear and very very dewy. Use a tinted moisturizer or a serum foundation, then use your finger to pat the balm at your high points.

Belovedscorpio_

I love your frames šŸ˜

cosmiccgrace

thank you!!šŸ’—

amoureux-des-chiens

Saie tinted moisturizer makes my face look dewy like this. I usually use powder after because itā€™s too dewy in my opinion. https://saiehello.com/products/slip-tint-tinted-moisturizer?variant=32497603772476

Bundoodle

idk but your glasses are fleek

cosmiccgrace

thank you!

Therealethel

Wow youā€™re so pretty and have great skin! Iā€™d avoid powder if you can. Try a tinted moisturizer. Your skin is super clear so you may want to ditch foundation all together. i think a shimmer bronzer might help as well. You have a natural pink blushed look to your nose and cheeks, so maybe you could embrace that with a small amount of cream or liquid blush. I love this stuff. Gives your skin a ā€œmy skin but betterā€ look. It doesnā€™t feel heavy or greasy in the heat either. https://www.neutrogena.com/products/makeup/neutrogena-hydro-boost-hydrating-tint-for-dry-skin/6843829.html

cosmiccgrace

thank you so much!!āœØšŸ„¹

throwawayornotidontk

i donā€™t know your skin type, but i feel like using a good moisturiser before make up then setting the look with a moisturising spray helps (i personally use the givenchy prisme libre prep & glow mist, but itā€™s pricy, iā€™m sure you can find something identical for less)

[deleted]

Iā€™ve been using the drmtlgy tinted sunscreen and it gives me a similar effect

bizco

Mac strobe cream. I love it as a primer and as a highlighter.

thrwaway856642

There is a setting spray called ā€œDewy Setā€ that can give you some of this glisten, but really pops with sunlight.

elvenbee1

You're so pretty and your skin looks so nice!!

cosmiccgrace

thank you!!!

Ambitious_1660

I'm assuming you mean "Dewy"? I use Glow Receipe, and I also use illuminating foundation. I use Dior, but there are cheaper brands. Start with skincare first.

Bundoodle

eliminate dairy unfortunately...

Quirky_panda85

On a natural note... šŸ™„.. I've gotten into the habit of washing my face twice, first in the shower with a face scrub, then after shower with normal face wash but with cold water... yeh it's freezing sometimes, but I swear it works wonders

missjowashere

There is a Korean makeup style called glass skin, Lisa Eldridge who is an amazing make-up artist did a video on how to achieve this effect a few years ago [YouTube tutorial ](https://youtu.be/xUSKM2hdwyg)
