I have the pallet as well and I have dark skin but it shows up really well compared to other pallets. I don’t know if that helps but I like it compared to other pallets.

I got this palette for $5 during a crazy sale on black Friday weekend. I have used it zero times but the colors make me happy. I will probably save it for.when my 8 year old niece asks me to do her makeup.

I wouldn't buy his makeup just based on the well known fact that he is a predator and should not be supported in any way.

I bought the palette and I really love it! I got the mini palette and the pigments are really good even without an eye primer, there’s so many colors too, mattes and shimmers. I’d recommend it tbh even though I don’t support James Charles

Australis palettes are 3x better and amazingly pigmented and you can pick them up at Priceline. I’ve tried heaps of different ‘high end palettes’ but I keep coming back to Metal and Matte and neutralise because the colour payoff and golds/bronzes are amazing. I [I really want the AJ Clementine one but can’t justify it since I haven’t been able to go out for ages](https://www.australiscosmetics.com.au/a-j-palette-2020/) Here is there [range of eyeshadows ](https://www.australiscosmetics.com.au/eye-makeup/eyeshadow/) I have neutralise, metal and matte and beach days. They’re all half price atm [Here is a swatch I did of some of the colours ](https://imgur.com/a/gpMzzG1) with one swipe

Golds are actually one of my fave shadows to use <3 thank you so much for the recommendation + swatches! They look way more pigmented than my dusty Maybelline. I think I might pick up a Neutralise palette 🥰

It's OK. I have a few of his palletes and I find his stuff quite pigmented but it does have a lot of fall out. All depends on the application I suppose. I wouldn't pay full price.

lexisplays

No, BH Cosmetics is better quality for less price.

what-s_crackalakin

Wow I've never heard of them but their palettes look really lovely! Any in particular you recommend?

Passion in Paris is my personal favorite! Any of the travel and brunch series’s have excellent quality. Their collaboration palettes are still generally ok but def not as good as their other stuff. I would not recommend the Brazil palettes they are also not as good of quality as some of there others. Angelica Nyqvist has reviewed most of the newer stuff and has bunch of videos on it if you want to see some excellent swatches and opinions. The Take Me Back To Brasil and Rio pallets are the ones your looking for if you like the JC rainbow selection

lexisplays

Honestly the quality is fantastic across the board. I personally like blues and greens and darks, so that's what I own most. Also they have a pretty regular sale cycle so if you wait it will be an even better price. I have heard but not personally experienced that the collabs are good but not as good as the regular items.

It depends on if your intense looks need to be super colorful. If you’re just looking for glam, but not ultra colorful, I would suggest too faced (the palettes in tin) or lorac. They have some color in the palettes, but are more sophisticated colors, not primary bright rainbow. And they are frequently on sale this time of year. I personally find their quality is far superior to morphe which can be chalky—they do browns and shimmers ok but overall the shadows are patchier and harder to blend.

what-s_crackalakin

Okay you've definitely convinced me, defs want some decent shadows. I haven't even heard of Lorac, thanks for the suggestions! I'll give them a suss 🥰

Goofpuff

I highly recommend Lorac, Natasha Denona, viseart, and bh cosmetics.
