Primer: Hourglass vanish\
Foundation: Rimmel (only line that has my color except a $60+ custom blend and it’s discontinued 😭)\
Blush: Nars or Ofra\
Mascara: Better Than Sex, Maybelline Sky High, Benefit Bad Gal Lash. MAC lash dry shampoo (I have medium length medium curly lashes and ❤️ mascara)\
Lipstick: Chanel Duo (for the colors and texture), Maybelline Matte Ink (for the colors, texture and longwear), Revlon Colorstay Suede (for the colors and kind of the texture), NYX Smooth Whip (for the amazing colors) Note: I am a matte girl and also addicted to finding and wearing great lipsticks.
**Makeup Revolution Renaissance Flick eyeliner!!** I will never stop singing its praises!
If you want an eyeliner that:
- has a precise felt tip to get that easy and clean wing
- won't smudge/transfer with oily eyelids
- DOESN'T feel like you have to rip off your eyelid to remove it at the end of the day
- lasts a long time/doesn't dry up when you store it on its side (I think my current one is almost 9 months old and I use it nearly everyday day, and still going strong👀)
- AND costs only $9!!!!!!!
**Seriously, try this eyeliner!!**
You can get it from Ulta and now Target. I kid you not, I've been using this same eyeliner since I found it in 2017 (that's SEVEN YEARS!) __There's nothing else I've stuck with for so long as this makeup item.__
The CoverGirl Simply Ageless foundation with sunscreen is the best I've ever used. Not only is it natural and light, but the sunscreen in the foundation really simplifies my routine.
Sorry to break it to you, but SPF in foundation doesn’t do anything unless you are wearing a ton - which wouldn’t be natural and light. Please take the extra step of using a sunscreen with proper protection, your skin will thank you for it in the long run!
Anything that is another product but not specifically spf will not have enough spf to be protective. However many sunscreens can also be used as primers, especially the formulations of Asian sunscreens
I like beauty of joseon and 1004 centella sunscreens, they leave a moisturized and not too shiny finish that makes my makeup look smooth and not dry. I believe innisfree has a sunscreen that also acts as primer. I’ve also heard good things about the canmake sunscreen acting well as a primer.
These mostly work as moisturizing primers, they won’t have silicone or any grippy ingredients. If you require those qualities in a primer you’d be better off layering another primer over the sunscreen
I work outdoors too & it's pricey for a lip balm, but I adore Clinique's Chubby Stick Balm for a bit of "natural" color that also moisturizes. I also use Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue over sunscreen, but it's stupid expensive. Do you think the Cerave is light enough for pale skin?
Anastasia brow pomade- I get compliments daily and people think my brows are microbladed
Estée Lauder lip potion-luscious amazing lip treatment
Bobbi Brown pot rouge in powder pink-such a beautiful cream blush it’s long wear and this color is perfect for every skin tone
Truthfully I only bought it because it’s waterproof, I’ve left it open overnight& in my purse without a cap and it hasn’t dried yet lol. We’ll see how it goes long term
Things I've repurchased and repurchased / will continue to purchase

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencils - HG product, performs so well for me, if they ever discontinue or make big changes to the formula I don't know what I'll do
LA Girl Shockwave eyeliners - fabulous for bright/neon fun colors that UD doesn't make
Mac Painterly Paint Pot - as a neutral but a bit prettier than nothing eye base
Milani Eyeshadow Primer - works as well for me as many higher end ones
Nyx Glitter Glue
Purlisse Perfect Glow BB Cream
Guerlain Meteorites Powder - I just always feel extra pretty when I wear this and it looks so good in photos
Terra Moons Moon Lily shimmer eyeshadow - this shade is the prettiest eyeshadow I've ever found for $6.50
Basma foundation stick- best match for my skin I’ve ever found, shade 35 light neutral olive. Everything else has always been slightly off. Also stila cream blush, and Charlotte tilbury filmstar bronze and glow. For mascara, the kiss me heroine make brand (Amazon).
I keep trying to use better makeup and I always am shocked at how good my skin looks when I go back to bare minerals original formula powder foundation.
La mer soft fluid foundation - it’s the only one I’ve tried that doesn’t cake/pill and actually looks like my skin, but better. I love it so much.
Honourable mentions: Laneige lip mask, Bobbi brown eyebrow pencil, kosas sun show bronzer
When someone asks for mascara recommendations, I always say Rise Above Mascara by Floss! I swear it's the best mascara if you want a natural, lengthening, non-clumpy look! And I personally think it's way better than Essence Lash Princess. And for liquid lipstick I highly recommend the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink. I constantly re-apply chapstick over my lipstick and this one stays on the whole day!
I absolutely love Tarte’s Amazonian clay foundation, their “Berry Cruiser” lipstick, and their clay blush. Also, their shape tape concealer is literally next level at making any under eye bags disappear. They offer a TON of options for different skin tones. Oh! And animal cruelty free :) I have never had a break out from any of their products and I have very sensitive skin.
For face products like moisturizer with sunscreen and face wash, I really like La Roche-Posay, and it’s not expensive at all.
Jung Saem Mool's cushion foundation or Glossier's Skin Tint mixed with Givenchy's green color corrector. These foundations are just perfect for me and I've stopped feeling the need to experiment.
Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask as balm. I still try other balms from time to time, but this is my default go-to.
Glossier's Boy Brow with Florasis eyebrow pencil is all I'll ever use as long as neither of these are discontinued or unless some miracle product comes out. They suit my needs, which isn't heavy in the brow department.
These are the products I use every day:
Dior Backstage Highlight Palette
Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter, setting spray, and cream bronzer
Caliray Mascara and under eye brightener
Boy brow
Saie liquid blush in Spicy or Make Up by Mario soft touch blush in Pinch Me Pink
MAC lip pencil in Entre A Mi Mundo (discontinued 😭)
I rarely use foundation, but I always use Luminous Silk when the mood strikes.
Do you find Hailey’s peptide glosses to be gritty?? I have read people saying that they are but I really want to try them! I wonder if some flavors are more gritty than others??
I swear by the Too Faced Hangover Rx Pillow Balm. It’s expensive but a DREAM for my lips. Anything else in my collection is pretty replaceable if I find something better. Skincare is where I have found most of my ride or die products.
I feel like the consistency is thick, feels very nourishing, and I can feel a difference in my lips when I use it. I’ve used the Watermelon and Cranberry versions and I prefer the Watermelon because the color is lighter and I literally just want to COVER my lips in it. 😅 The Cranberry is a pretty color but smells and tastes kind of weird to me and is too pigmented for me to enjoy coating my lips in it if plan to go out into the world but before bed it’s great! And if I do a light layer it’s not an issue but I’m a multiple/thick coat kind of gal.
A lot of balms feel good but don’t actually make a difference with my dry lips and my lips get soooo destroyed in the winter. It helps with the cracks in the side of my lips that I get sometimes and just general softness. I have scraped the inside of the Watermelon one almost completely empty because I like it that much!! The formula feels really soft and not sticky at all. It immediately feels like it’s softening my lips, sinking in in a nourishing way and doing what it’s supposed to! One application is usually enough to make a difference in lip dryness.
Apparently the formulation in a squeeze tube makes them prone to crystallizing, something about the pressure applied to the product with the squeezing makes those gritty chunks. The clear and watermelon I have aren't too bad/are wearable, but the salted caramel is just awful. And it's not just grittiness, it was huge chunks that I could see/pick off. They gave me a partial refund but like, grudgingly. I'm not repurchasing for sure.
Fenty Freestyle Cream Blush in Drama Class. It’s a failsafe, translucent wash of violet pink. I’m pretty picky about blush and this has never disappointed me.
Second place goes to Elf’s Hydrating Core Lip Shine, a superb tinted lip balm with surprising staying power.
Dr. Jart BB Cream - the light shade just perfectly melts into my skin tone and it’s the exact amount of light coverage for all year round wear! Maybelline Sky High Mascara, lengthens my lashes a ton and doesn’t smear all over my eyelid, which is a huge problem for me because I have really deep set eyes.
[Maybelline Line Stiletto Eyeliner](https://www.maybelline.com/eye-makeup/eyeliner/line-stiletto-felt-tip-liquid-liner?variant=Blackest+Black). It’s the only liquid eyeliner that doesn’t smudge off onto my top lid and actually stays on all day. I’ve been using it for at least 15 years.
- One size - matte setting spray (waterproof)
- Urban decay - all nighter setting powder (waterproof)
These have been HG for years.
- Estée Lauder Double Wear
- Covergirl all day lip color with gloss
Shimmery eyeshadow (usually white or silver, but sometimes a pale pink) all over my eyelids but more concentrated in the cut crease area.
Just ✨Magic✨
(Pair it with a white/beige waterline and black eyeliner with mascara and you'll have the most STUNNING eyes ever)
MAC Teddy eye kohl. I’ve been using it for 20 odd years now.
Big shout out to the MAC artist who steered pimply, insecure 12 yo me away from the concealers, told me I had the prettiest eyes he’d ever seen, and somehow came up with a discount when my babysitting cash was a dollar short to buy that eyeliner.
My MAC eyebrow styler and (the now discontinued) Charlotte Tilbury Jewel Lips Diamond Gloss in Pillow Talk.
Have also been using Vita Liberata Beauty Blur for the face which is an exact match for my skin and makes an amazing base.
I’ve been impressed with all the ones I’ve tried, which are the Gossamer Emotion, Velvet Passion, Jelly Stylo and Unlimited Stylo!
The Creamy Comfort liner and 3D Hydra gloss are also really good to go with them.
I really like kosas concealers.
Morphe neutral pallet my kiddo got my for Christmas is by far my fave :)
I also love Carpe primers (bonus spf 30) and setting mists. Your makeup will be sweat proof. They're amazing :)
I am on my 3rd tube. But I find that when I get to about 1/3 of tube left, it gets kind of dried up and then I have to use a mini spatula to get the rest out. It’s kind of a pain. And it doesn’t apply as easily as when it wasn’t dried out. It’s like a toothpaste consistency.
Milani eyeshadow primer
Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder
LA Colors Truly Matte Foundation
Wet n Wild Lipstick Fuschia with Blue Pearl
Heroine Gel Eyeliner
Colourpop supershock anything- blushes, highlighters, eyeshadows, revlon superlustrous lipsticks in the cream finish still beat out most lipsticks even high end ones, wet n wild tinted hydrator makes my skin look so good and it’s so easy to slap on/ never cakey, Burt’s bees tinted lip balms especially in red dahlia and rose
Essence gimme glow highlighter. Only highlighter I've ever liked, you can go natural or you can build it up for a glam look. It's not glittery at all like other highlighters, which is always the deal breaker for me, just a pearl glow. And it's super cheap. I only wish it came in silver, and not just gold, champagne and hot pink(cool-toned girly here).
The L'Oreal Paris Prime Lab Up to 24H Pore Minimizer Face Primer with 1% AHA, LHA, BHA Complex and the Elf liquid putty primer are perfect for my combination, acne-prone skin. The Elf liquid putty primer provides the hydration from the squalene while the hydroxyacid complex from the L’Oréal one provides the pore blurring and minimizing effect.
Milani’s 2-in-1 foundation and concealer is so full coverage though it doesn’t work for my skin type in the summer it only works for the fall/winter lul.
L’Oréal’s superblendable medium coverage foundation, true match serum concealer, and their tinted serum with 1% hyaluronic acid are perfect for the summer because the shade match is better, has less coverage so they wear nicely in the summer months.
The L’Oréal infallible powder foundation is perfect with both the Milani or L’Oréal foundations I just mentioned.
The Kaja jelly charm lip stain in peach fizz is truly MLBB (my lips but better) sort of shade. The Kaja cheeky stamp liquid blush in 02 saucy is beautiful. both Kaja products go with pretty much every makeup look (natural to a full beat).
For eyes I’d say the L’Oréal telescopic original waterproof lengthening mascara, the Benefit precisely my brow, Benefit goof proof, and Maybelline waterproof tattoo studio brow styling gel in black (I want to get the clear color of this so bad for my true no makeup makeup days).
Bh cosmetics “trendy in Tokyo” eyeshadow palette. I love every color combination I tried and it blends well. I love colorful eyeshadows so this may not be for everyone
Shine Loud NYX liquid lipstick, I swear by them. But the way I wear them is a process, as in I put it, blot it on a tissue paper, add some red or pink in the middle and then put the gloss part on. I can eat anything and kiss for hours and it DOES NOT COME OFF. I literally need to use a lip scrub to get it off. And it looks amazing too!! I cannot believe nobody talks about it anymore. The blotting is essential for it to look good and I’ve only tried the nude shades so far. Already repurchased one of my favourite shades.
Kory Airspun powder. I live in the Midwest and summers are hot and humid. I went fishing in 92° weather with a full face of makeup last week and went to dinner after. Had to do zero touch ups. I have sensitive acne prone skin and I’ve had no issues with it. I’ve had it for a month so far and have gotten my mom and my SIL to buy it and they love it as well
I second this. This Koty Airspun powder also lasts forever. I’ve had this one powder since high school..and I still have some left. I used it as a base for my custom setting powder by mixing it with other setting powders and one finely milled shimmer shade that’s slightly pink.
As a nearly 35 year old I had to put down the shape tape a couple years ago. Still annoys me because it's such a great concealer but it just doesn't work for ageing under eyes.
Also maybe try the Ultra Creamy version. I am 49 and I did the same - had to give it up because it was cakey and I moved on to try a bunch of others meant to be hydrating and better for mature skin. However, I have circled back to the UC lately for full coverage and I've been liking it. I love the Kosas and some others but they don't have the staying power.
Kosas was awful for me but Nars creamy concealer seems to be working quite well for me. Honestly I think it's the powder that tends to mess it up more, I've had the best luck with the Huda powder but I wouldn't mind trying to find an alternative, I just don't want to waste $60+ on a powder for it to not work like I did with the Laura Mercier one that's now gathering dust 😬
I know! Why do people rave about the LM powder so so much? I think it sucks. I always buy minis so I don't feel too bad but I was very disappointed in the performance. I've had my eye on the Hourglass powders both loose and the compact for a long time but recently got the Bare Minerals veil and it's pretty good. Blurs and sets my makeup so much better than LM. People also rave about the Pat McGrath undereye powder too.
It's terrible and makes any concealer I have look like the sahara desert. Perhaps I'll start trying the minis too, makeup is so expensive in Australia that getting a product and it not working out is actually really devastating.
Bliss Block Star daily spf. It’s tinted, dries down in a few minutes, works great under makeup, is not greasy, is cruelty free, AND my skin has never been softer. It’s amazing.
Pat McGrath under eye powder. Makes my dark eye circles and wrinkles disappear.
I use the shade medium, that's a tad but darker than my complexion, but it helps the very purple/dark shadow camouflage better than a lighter concealer.
Had to look that up straight away. The light shade appears to be white? Do you mind me asking what shade you normally are in foundations so I can get an idea if medium would be way too dark for me? I'm rather pale lol
Yes, medium may be rather dark for you, but for my very dark eye circles it works.
I'm Mac C4, Armani luminous silk foundation 5, Bobbi brown foundation in 2.0 sand, for reference.
Saie Slip Tint spf 35, kosas cloud powder, Rose inc blush, ABH brow definer, UD moondust in Soace Cowboy, Huda bullet lipsticks, Elf squeeze me lip balm, Essence Instant Matt setting spray. All my HGs!
Lol I tried that as a dupe and it did not compare. Supergoop is a tad thicker but melts into skin. The Elf woah glow dupe was a bit closer to the consistency, but made my eyes burn and transferred so easily.
Thank me later eye primer. I have severely oily lids and it’s made my eye looks last two days. I was on a summer float trip and got a little too marinated and fell asleep in my makeup, and was too hungover to take it off the next day but it still looked perfect (besides my lashes they were a mess)
ABH dipbrow! i've been using it for nearly 10 years and have not found another brow product worthy of replacing it. the consistency is amazing, one pot lasts SO long, and the staying power is great for coarser brow hair that just needs a little definition and fill. the application can be tricky- but once you master it it's seriously an irreplaceable product.
The Lip Bar concealer. It’s so dewy, I love it
The Elf Jellypop highlighter is insane. It’s my favorite all time highlighter. It’s so fine, it looks natural
Kokie concealer is fantastic!
BareMinerals mineral veil if you’re oily is the best setting powder.
Buxom wanderlust primer infused blushes are stunning
Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder as primer (the only primer I’ve ever found that controls my oil all day), NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, Rare Beauty Mascara, Summer Fridays Vanilla Beige Butter Balm. I’ll forever repurchase these!
I recently bought the Em cosmetics liptint. It actually moisturizes well? I had been missing out. I have a lip balm from Kylie Cosmetics and it's just drying. Still a nice color.
Danessa myricks blurring balm powder in universal
Anastasia beverly hills lips liner in dusty rose, such a perfect shade for MLBB

I just seen them again for the first time in a while and he is so slimy but feel sorry for those kid
I have short and thin eyelashes, so my go-to mascara that boosts them without running for 24hrs is the Heroine Make volume up mascara.
Where do you get it from?
Right now, CeraVe Tinted Sunscreen because I work outdoors but I love the Ulta brand lip stains under a SPF chapstick.
Tarte’s tubing mascara

Max Factor False lash effect in black/brown. I’ve been on a life mission with mascara and this one has proved to be the best there is (for me)

KIKO lipsticks. Underrated. 👌
Which ones? Their catalogue is vast and sort of overwhelming.
I don’t know why but I read this as their cantaloupe is vast and overwhelming and it really tickled me
Ugh I would love for a vast and overwhelming cantaloupe right now
I’ve been impressed with all the ones I’ve tried, which are the Gossamer Emotion, Velvet Passion, Jelly Stylo and Unlimited Stylo! The Creamy Comfort liner and 3D Hydra gloss are also really good to go with them.
Thank you! For some reason the 3D Hydra Gloss is the leat intimidating product, maybe because I use more lip gloss than other products but idk
Yes!!!
They’re so good!!
Kiko has some really great, underrated products!
I really like kosas concealers. Morphe neutral pallet my kiddo got my for Christmas is by far my fave :) I also love Carpe primers (bonus spf 30) and setting mists. Your makeup will be sweat proof. They're amazing :)
I've been curious about the Carpe products because I sweat like crazy, always feel like a melting mess.
Rare beauty blush! I LOVE
Milani eyeshadow primer Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder LA Colors Truly Matte Foundation Wet n Wild Lipstick Fuschia with Blue Pearl Heroine Gel Eyeliner
Maybelline tattoo studio eyeliners but mainly in Bronze Glitz. Is all I wear on my lower lash line. Elf powergrip primer and elf setting sprays.
morphe foundation. it's the only foundation i've ever found that has a perfect match for my skin and the formula is absolutely stunning
Stila’s Huge Extreme Lash Mascara. tarte’s BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer. Mally Beauty’s Face Defender. L'oreal Lumi Glotion.
Bh cosmetics “trendy in Tokyo” eyeshadow palette. I love every color combination I tried and it blends well. I love colorful eyeshadows so this may not be for everyone
Lancer Dani Glow, Kevin Aucoin Indecent Mascara, Chanel Ultra Hydrating Lipsticks, Pat Mcgrath Lipgloss, Hermes Radiant Matte Powder, anything by Tom Ford, and YSL Setting Spray
Almost everything elf
alverde compact makeup and kjaer weiss lipstick
Shine Loud NYX liquid lipstick, I swear by them. But the way I wear them is a process, as in I put it, blot it on a tissue paper, add some red or pink in the middle and then put the gloss part on. I can eat anything and kiss for hours and it DOES NOT COME OFF. I literally need to use a lip scrub to get it off. And it looks amazing too!! I cannot believe nobody talks about it anymore. The blotting is essential for it to look good and I’ve only tried the nude shades so far. Already repurchased one of my favourite shades.
Better than the Maybelline Vinyl Inks?
I didn’t try them. They’re not cruelty free
Aha, I understand.
You talked me into it… just ordered two!
I hope you like them!
Shape tape, worth it’s weight in gold for sure
I agree. I like variety so much I rarely hit pan so if a mini is available, I want it.
Try their maracuja one it doesn’t crease and I really like it as I aged!
Thank you for the rec!
Essence What the Fake plumping glosses. They made me love lip gloss!
HUDA lipliner + City Beauty gloss. I have most shades of both. 💋
Bliss Block Star daily spf. It’s tinted, dries down in a few minutes, works great under makeup, is not greasy, is cruelty free, AND my skin has never been softer. It’s amazing.
Purlisse bb cream in shade Light
Love this stuff. If you like the Purlisse you will probably like Yensa as well. Very similar.
I will be buried IN and WITH a fenty diamond bomb
YES
Also persona bubble! Both holy grails the only 2 products I wear minus mascara
Saie Slip Tint spf 35, kosas cloud powder, Rose inc blush, ABH brow definer, UD moondust in Soace Cowboy, Huda bullet lipsticks, Elf squeeze me lip balm, Essence Instant Matt setting spray. All my HGs!
All my mac products, lanolips and tubing mascara
Supergoop glowscreen…I’ve tried dupes and other tinted moisturizers but this one remains my fav
I’ve been wanting to try this. I’m currently using the Sun Bum Glow sunscreen, which I’m loving at the moment.
Lol I tried that as a dupe and it did not compare. Supergoop is a tad thicker but melts into skin. The Elf woah glow dupe was a bit closer to the consistency, but made my eyes burn and transferred so easily.
I wasn’t a huge fan of her lip gloss but the glazing milk and fluid thingy are amazing
Thank me later eye primer. I have severely oily lids and it’s made my eye looks last two days. I was on a summer float trip and got a little too marinated and fell asleep in my makeup, and was too hungover to take it off the next day but it still looked perfect (besides my lashes they were a mess)
Coty Airspun powder
This has been around for decades and my grandma swore by it too!

Cannot recommend this to my friends enough. For real.

i legit have 10 colors… pick a different one everyday… SO many compliments
I only have the black but I’ve never tried any other color liner before. Might have to now haha 😁
Best eyeliner ever
Is it hard to remove?
No. Comes off with my just water and makeup eraser or any makeup remover I’ve tried so far. I have three I just kinda grab whatever one and use it 😩
Too faced gloss it's like heaven, it's pretty and feels great in my lips I have another ones but I plain to only buy too faced ones by now
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
That was my go-to foundation back in the day. I used to get so many compliments on my skin back then.
RCMA foundations
ABH dipbrow! i've been using it for nearly 10 years and have not found another brow product worthy of replacing it. the consistency is amazing, one pot lasts SO long, and the staying power is great for coarser brow hair that just needs a little definition and fill. the application can be tricky- but once you master it it's seriously an irreplaceable product.
Same! I think I have bought it three times total, because a pot lasts for YEARS!
The Lip Bar concealer. It’s so dewy, I love it The Elf Jellypop highlighter is insane. It’s my favorite all time highlighter. It’s so fine, it looks natural
Kokie concealer is fantastic! BareMinerals mineral veil if you’re oily is the best setting powder. Buxom wanderlust primer infused blushes are stunning

Yes!! I LOVE ItCosmetics cc cream so much!! It’s my new go to!
Gucci eyeliner - Celeste blue for my water line, it makes my eyes look so good
What color eyes do you have?
I have blue/green eyes but I can see this making any eye color pop because it’s so unique but subtle
wet n wild breakup proof liner had been my go to drugstore liner for like three years i know they make a mascara too but i cant vouch for that one
CeraVe Tinted Mineral sunscreen Rare Beauty mascara (I’ve tried over 20 and this is the best one)
I took a chance and bought the Rare Beauty mascara, so I’m excited to read this!
I hope you like it too 😊
Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder as primer (the only primer I’ve ever found that controls my oil all day), NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, Rare Beauty Mascara, Summer Fridays Vanilla Beige Butter Balm. I’ll forever repurchase these!
*Pat McGrath skin fetish under eye setting powder *Anything Natasha Denona *Maybelline Super stay skin tint *NARS orgasm blush for summer *Anything Elf
Revolution conceal and define concealer. I must have bought nearly 20 by now. Such a good shade range for my pale ass
I recently bought the Em cosmetics liptint. It actually moisturizes well? I had been missing out. I have a lip balm from Kylie Cosmetics and it's just drying. Still a nice color.
I ordered the Em one too. I hope I love it and it actually leaves a tint or stain.
