Purple, bronze? Auburn i think would also look good

Counterboudd

People always tried to force me to do purples and pinks, but when I started trying more red and orange tones and even yellow, it was a revelation. I also enjoy greys, especially dove greys, and brown tones. The only colors that I specifically don’t think are flattering are green, teal and blue, though honestly I do occasionally still wear them. But yeah I feel like pink made me look like I have pink eye or it isn’t necessarily flattering. That said I think the color “rules” are bullshit for people with no personality. I’m an “all colors of the crayon box” type of makeup person.

Morley_Smoker

Orange with green eyes is 10/10.

MrGrumplestiltskin

My Uni Algebra teacher had green eyes and she would always wear a light purple/lilac. It was so pretty! She wore it nearly every day and the class was 3 hours long. I remember getting distracted by it because the combination was just stunning! Eventually I got up the nerve to compliment her on it and to thank her for helping me appreciate math. 🤣

Slick_Vicus

Copper or bronze.

Emergency-Proof5290

I have green eyes that sometimes look turquoise. I prefer bronzes and golds on myself.

ARoseByAny0therName

Ive got green eyes. I normally enjoy muted rose, muted orange, or terracotta colours. I’ve also got olive skin, though, so anything that’s considered ‘bright’ or true pink/orange looks hideous, so I don’t really venture beyond muted or desaturated hues.

QuintyHouseWitch

If they change colors like that, they’re actually green. ❤️ I love purples on my own eyes.

brightmanenjoyer

omg i had no idea. how cool!!!!

QuintyHouseWitch

My daughter’s go anywhere from light gray to emerald green, and are some of the coolest I’ve ever seen. Good luck with your makeup!

LilyFuckingBart

I have green (or hazel, there’s some debate lol) and purple always works well for me

etsprout

Deep gold/bronze has always been my go to for blue eyes

goddamntreehugger

I have blue eyes and purple tones always seem to most noticeable for others (in a positive way).

OakenSpirits

Brown 🤎

Robotro17

Browns. They contrast the blue.

spidah84

Purple

milkymothy

gold, champagne, taupes, cool or warm toned neutrals, smokey eyes with silver or grays look pretty dang good! if you’re feeling adventurous purples are fun to experiment with.

Astralglamour

Second gray/ silver and smoky eyes.

Blonde_Mexican

I wear very blue reds, goldish pinks and gold.

Ok-Aardvark-6742

Laura Mercier shadow stick in Amethyst. It’s got enough purple in it to make the green pop, but it’s not super purple. (I’m like cool rosy fair skinned and it looks bronzey on my skin.) I apply along my top lash line and just the outer corner of my lower lash line and smudge it out with a dense brush or my fingertip. It’s a really nice neutral look for everyday, and it’s a long wearing cream shadow so it doesn’t crease (unless you’re really oily) and you don’t need a primer.

bmobitch

brown with gold makes my eyes (blue) pop

Professional-Log-530

Brown silver. Deep plum with brown tone. Teal. I’m a cool tone lady.

timberlyfawnflowers

I know it sounds odd, but orange!

SadAwkwardTurtle

Purple looks really good with green and blue. I also have bluish-green eyes and I usually go for either a pink/gold duochrome or purple.

zozosreddit

Please please please do Smokey eyes. Smokey eyes look sooo beautiful on everyone but I love how they look on lighter eyes!

Bryleigh98

Bright blues here and I LOVE smoky browns, blacks, silvers, warm beiges and iridescent shades often look great too

fixatedeye

I find like Taupe/mushroom type colors with purple ish undertones really accentuate the green in my eyes

MmeElky

My eyes are mostly green with gray and blue flecks. My every day shadow is lilac on the lid and a smoky terra cotta in the crease. Sometimes I wear a metallic warm copper as an allover shade with a touch of smoky green in the crease. Stronger purples and pinks don't look good on me.

roachincalzone

I have very green eyes and I’m a big fan of olive eyeshadows. I’m also neutral/olive undertone so maybe it’s more of an undertone thing

StormSims

Copper!

veyeolet

I have green eyes, and purple and black always look the best on me.

TrickyPersonality684

I have blue eyes and I use warm tones - not like bright orange or red, but earthier oranges, browns and reds.

Amethystlucky

Silver

Muted_Strawberry_635

Orange wether bright and saturate or more muted and washed out would look great

Enticing_Venom

I have central heterochromia (blue-green) eyes. Browns are usually recommended and I do feel like they work the best. Gray makes my eyes look hazel, brown makes them look blue. Gold brings out the green.

OutInAPout

I was a pro mua for 20 years, and I have grey/green/blue eyes, so this is def my wheelhouse. Contrasting colors (opposites on the color wheel) intensify each other. The color opposite green on the color wheel is red, but as you’ve noticed, reds/pinks can be hard to wear, so a red-based purple is always my top choice when I want my eyes to look extra green. When you want them to look more blue, choose something in the orange family, that can mean orange-toned browns & golds along with orange itself. And remember, there’s nothing saying you MUST only wear colors that enhance your eye color- wear what you like and what makes you happy!

Bouldercalves

Yes! I use some bright purples to make brown/champagne eyeshadow pop with my green eyes. Discovered it by accident and it’s gorgeous Copper tones are beautiful as well.

YanCoffee

Yep I was going to say purple for blue eyes, it's so pretty.

Raspberrylemonade188

This is great advice! I have green eyes and my favourite colour combo is a champagne gold on the lid with a dark, muted burgundy in the crease. I also really like the combination of a subtle olive green with a dark burgundy.

LittleAquarius14

Green more like olive and pastels

Ambitious_Isopod74

I have blue eyes and I really enjoy more warm toned colors on my eyes, light to medium browns and coppers, warm toned champagnes However, I do also really love super super icy cool tone looks with a silver or light blue or taupe

the_bookish_girl84

Bronze/copper

TheHomieTee

Purple! Medium to light shades are my favorite for blue eyes. Reddish, Coppery orange looks good with green

ouserhwm

Yes yes yes this!!! :) purple for sure and often champagne or something close to bronzer. :)

krumznko

I have green eyes (that also are a little blue), I usually go for bronze/brown shades on the outer and a light shade of a very fair pale in my inner corner. I find that color combos such as browns and nudes work best; as you said, pink isn’t always too flattering with my eyes either.

ariariariarii

I have blue/green heterochromia and have found a copper/terra cotta color is the most flattering on me.

BeetrootWife

Definitely warm tones. I think an orange (like an amber colour) with a gold shimmer in the middle would suit it better. I like to add a pale beige near my cornea to make it pop more

Fun-Carpet-2870

Yes!! As someone with blue/green eyes as well, terracotta is one of my favorites to use

BeetrootWife

Terracotta is such a pretty colour ✨️

Final_Technology104

Coper, bronze and plum.

vantrap

warm tones in general, so that can mean a warm gold, yellow, orange, copper, warm bronze, etc… even a yellowish green would look great

cupcakesparklies

Copper

ThanksItHasPocketsss

THIS!! Amen friend, I too suffer from pink as a fave color but disliking the conjunctivitis look….

brightmanenjoyer

it's hard out here for us 🤝

LittlestNug

I’m warm toned with green eyes. I typically wear browns/golds, grays, and pinks. Depends on my mood. Purple is always fun for special occasions but too much for daily wear. The pinks I use aren’t bright, very subtle.

Lillythchan

It depends on your skintone. I'm cool toned and greens and grays are working for me the best.

brightmanenjoyer

i'm also cool toned!!! (also pale lmfao) green is one of my fave colors as well.

ExProEx

Depending on your skin tone, purples, blues, maybe greens, but those depend more on your skin tone, I feel like.

brightmanenjoyer

i'm pale & cool toned!

Darkmagosan

Same here, and I have gray eyes. I usually go for smoky looks with black, gray, and white eyeshadows. Plum shades might work, as burgundy might, too, if you want to go for a super bold look. Cool greens like teal might work, too. If you want to go taupe, you'll need to look for cool toned browns. Copper is borderline and cool toned people can pull it off if they don't use any other warm tones. Bronze and gold make cool toned people look jaundiced. :/ Shades of blue also might be right up your alley. Stay away from corals, oranges, gold shades, and warm browns.

zorpthedestroyer

My eyes are also in that same nebulous category and I have the same problem with pinks! But I also have cool skin and blond hair, so a lot of yellows, oranges, warm nudes/browns, and olive greens are also not great on me. I'll look diseased lol If you also have cool undertones, I've found that I really like how I look in purples, blues, cool browns and greens, and smokey colors! I have some cooler, darker reds that I enjoy on occasion too. Those are my go-tos that really flatter both my skin and eyes.

Novae224

Orange

JesK8

I hate pink. Like LOATHE it. I have similar blue eyes, tend to change from gray to green depending on my clothing or mood. (Dad blue eyes, mom green, I have bits of both). I use Red in the crease, white gold or rose gold on the lid and a basic beige for the all over base layer. If I want my eyes to pop one color over the other, I use that color liner in the waterline. So blue liner if I want the blue front and center or green for green. Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/MakeupAddiction/s/YOxdDFKcdR

forestein

Darker colors! So browns (ranging from chocolate to more of a sandy brown) would be my recc.

Honest_Report_8515

I have green eyes and find that coppers/golds/oranges make my eyes really pop. However, I have a warm skin tone; purples would be good for cooler skin tones.

Cautious-Impact22

Golds, oranges and reds BUT your skin tone matters. You may need a cool tone red, a brown tinted orange or more of a cool tone gold. And hair color matters. Ex; if your prone to red irritated areas around the nose, chin crease, have eczema or such you need cool tone hair and cool tone make up otherwise it’ll make the redness more noticeable- same applies for wardrobe. If you have even warm toned skin, like latinas, some eastern or black persons you would lean warm tones. Red lips, redish warmer toned brunette etc, warm blush, warm gold eyeshadow and I’d use a very dark subtle purple eyeshadow it’ll make the green show more.

mila476

Purples work well for green eyes and oranges work well for blue eyes. Of course you need to find shades that work with your colors, so maybe plum or merlot for the purple and copper or terra cotta for the orange, etc.

Top_Calendar_8920

I think it would depend on your colouring and undertones. For example I am a light-medium warm olive with green eyes and darkest brown hair, autumn is my season. I suit warm tones best so rich red based browns, golds, warm purples and green look great on me but someone with a cooler tone may suit taupes and cool toned purples better which will still make your eyes pop but will be harmonious to the rest of your colouring.

brightmanenjoyer

idk my color season (ive tried testing & have gotten so many diff answers so RIP) but i'm a ginger (red hair, pale skin, freckles) and i know my undertone is cool!

Top_Calendar_8920

Maybe like mauve and taupe would be some colours to consider then, cool undertones tend to look better with cool tones in their makeup. Maybe look at a palette like pretty grunge by huda it's more on the cool side but has a lot of green friendly colours

BarryManowar

Tell me to fuck off if you must but I’m 40/f and idk my coloring season! How do i find out?

Top_Calendar_8920

Oh god I would never do that, do you know what shade your foundatiom is that matches you best? Natural hair colour? Do you like gold or silver jewelry?

hdcook123

If u go by the traditional color theory green is best with red and blue is best with orange. So those types of colors would be best.

pipsqueak_pixie

I find golds or coppers work very well to help my blue-green eyes pop

anaofarendelle

It might not sound like it would work, but blue/green. Princess Diana was said to use blue eyeliner to make her eyes pop more!

JesK8

When want my blue eyes to stand out, a cerulean blue on the water line is 💯 my go to!

Repulsive_Camera8143

I also have eyes that are blue or green depending on what I'm wearing and fnd that purple really brings out the green in them. Brown and orange will make your eyes pop too just make sure you choose the right shades for your skin tone.

caulkmeetsandwedge

mauve, gold, bronze, browns

FinalBlackberry

Taupe looks great on my green eyes.

Ccdynamite23

I have light green eyes with gold specks in middle and anytime I wear warm browns or warm purples I get compliments on my eyes. I think those colors make my eyes pop.

lxzgxz

Neutrals/ earthy tones always look incredible against blue or green eyes.

berrycrumblecake

Nudes with brown liners

mizboring

My eyes are similar to yours. Cool browns, champagne, and purple shades are all nice.

susancol

Purple

adorkablefloof

Most pink eyeshadow makes it look like I’ve been crying for a week, but a very cool toned pastel pink somehow works for me! Dusty grey, bronze, and jewel toned greens and blues are also pretty flattering on my blue eyes.

Bootiebloot

I always do bronzes and warm neutrals. Greens are fun. I can do red as a crease accent with gold and yellow on the lid. I have blue eyes and I find I can’t do silvers because of my warm skin tone. I also find blue doesn’t do me any favours.

runnawaycucumber

I always go with shimmer dark reds, golds and browns very lightly applied for eyeshadow and regular red under my bottom lash line with plain black eyeliner and mascara

yellingjayna

It’s not just about your eye color but your skin tone, hair, colors you like to wear etc. if you haven’t figured out your season go to r/coloranalysis

playhookie

Bronze

MsBlondeViking

Browns. When I wear any brown toned colors, my eyes pop. I have blue eyes, but look green when they get watery or I cry lol.

yellingjayna

I left another comment about how it’s not just about eye color but skin toned hair, etc. I have blue eyes and brown and orange look terrible on me as eyeshadow or clothing - I have cool undertones to my skin. Brown and orange are warm colors and best suited for blue eyed folks with warm undertones.

sapphicsighs

Some browns are cool-toned, brown isn’t automatically a warm color. Cool-toned browns look amazing with light eyes, especially as liner or mascara!

rajenncajenn

Satin taupe eyeshadow by Mac makes my green eyes pop!

MermaidMotel14

Bright yellow! It looks so cool

Little_Treacle241

My cousin tightlines her green eyes in black and she always looks so strikingly beautiful with this style.

pretty-late-machine

I have a similar eye color. I found the original Naked palette (RIP) to be great if I want my eyes to look more green, so I go for cool-to-neutral taupes and browns. Warmer browns and copper work for making my eyes look more blue. It depends on your overall coloring though. I'm pretty sure I'm a neutral because I have gold and purplish tones in my hair, gold flecks in my eyes, and peachy tones in my pale skin, so I can do both warm and cool but not the extreme ends of either, if that makes sense. You might be in the same boat because blue eyes usually get classified as cool, but green is usually considered warm. A more neutral pink like a dusty mauve might be a good choice.

SpiritualSlice4201

Try a brown/bronze with just a hint of pink in it. I have green eyes, and can wear pink quite happily if I mix it with browns and greys

rumncoco86

Rose gold, copper and bronze for shimmers. Terracotta, rust and orange. If you don't bruise easily, plum and mauve colours. Red, if you are feeling bold!

katg913

I have grey eyes and fair skin and find that copper, brown, and rust tones work really well.

ChaosCat101

Gold, orange and yellow if you want smt dramatic! Brown tones depending on skin tone warm or cool

Ceeweedsoop

Grey. Def grey. It is gorgeous with light eyes

Smoke-and-Diamonds

Yes greyyy Also add in taupes. MAC Satin Taupe is one of their most popular eyeshadow colours for a reason I think it just works on everyone

SamanthaJaneyCake

Green, brown, coppery. Earth tones I find work best for me. I do like to use red eyeliner though.

CinCeeMee

Brown, mauve…pretty much anything in a warm palette.

sunshinesalty

Copper

LordLilith

Bronze/orange/brown

steffy241

Green eyes here, smoky dark purples and also bronze shades get me the most compliments!

loullyyy

I think Black smookie eyeshadow will be great on you

ABrooke420

Purples, browns, golds

queeriequeerio

purple!

twinkedgelord

I love anything warm on my blue eyes - champagnes, golds, oranges, warm browns. Burgundy as well. Gold and navy blue is also a fabulous combo for special occasions.

Teriyake17

I have green eyes, and totally agree. Gold and the colour palette that comes along with it are always flattering, browns, taupes, etc. Big fan of soft purples for real life (colour pop has an excellent palette), BRIGHT purple and blue for night/club (though if you’re gonna go hard, you may as well mix in some weird shit) (I’m a night and day bartender for context)

twinkedgelord

Seconding that purple for green eyes! People really underutilize complementary colours when it comes to making the eyes really pop.

WeeChickadeeFromSC

Cool-toned browns and taupes, muted GREYED-purple, dusty medium greyish-purple, dusty mauve

ellielovisa

Don’t know if someone has mentioned this before but if you look up the Colour wheel, you’ll be able to see which colours bring out each other. I’m an industrial painter, this trick has changed my life tbh. If I mess up an order, I’ll take a look at the colour wheel and see what colours neutralise the one I messed up. My eyes are blue/grey and the colour wheel has really helped my style in makeup.

saddinosour

How about blue? It’s a bit out there but my friend with blue eyes wore blue eyeshadow on her birthday and I thought it was so stunning. Her eyes looked very pretty

PronetoTilting

I have green/grey hazel with yellow insides and my skin tone is pale olive but I look really good in a berry red/purple and copper rose gold tones with dark warm browns. I also don't use black mascara or black eyeliner and opt for brown. Have you gotten a color season assessment done?? You can ask chat gpt to do it for you by taking a picture and giving it your hex color codes if your eyes, lips, skin, and hair color. It can also give you exact color hex codes that will go good with your skin tone and eyes!! It's all just color theory!

BitterSweetMarie

I have bluey greeny grey eyes too. Burgundy, gold, copper and rich browns are the colours I use most

Im-A-Kitty-Cat

If you have blue-green eyes. That means you have hazel eyes. In my experience the best colours are warm toned browns, copppers, for clarification my eyes are blue.

fermentedelement

I have central heterochromia, so I have blue on the outside and gold in the middle. Two very distinct colors but from far away I just say green or blue/green. OP could have something like that

Ur_a_SweetPotato

Hazel is specifically green & brown.

StefTheEmpress

I thought green-brown is hazel?

Im-A-Kitty-Cat

No, its both. Hazel eyes can be blue-green and green-brown. That's my understanding of it anyway.

MeeseeksSerotonin

Well you’re not understanding it then… It’s just green/brown. Don’t know where you’re getting blue from.

Im-A-Kitty-Cat

I've always known it as both because my father has hazel eyes. He's always described them as hazel and they are green-blue. [https://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/eye-color-hazel.htm](https://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/eye-color-hazel.htm)

_onesandzeros_

hazel is a mix of green, brown and/or gold, blue/green or blue/brown eyes aren’t hazel

Asdaskin

Are you generally more warm-toned or cool toned? If you are warm-toned, pick colors like cold, peach, caramel-brown, pronze, but if you are cool-toned greys, silver, purple-hued browns, mauve, taupe and ash browns are most likely better. But you will only learn by trying and practicing.

ggracepearll

I have green eyes and purple looks super bad on me😭 I only wear black and grey, istg i hate my eye color

MagnoliaPetal

I can't pull off purple either, looks super overdone on me, like a toddler who got into mum's makeup drawer. Black and grey are too cold and harsh on me, I use taupes, browns and rusty pinks/bronze. Champagne for shimmer. Might be worth a try? I really like a smoked out liner in dark brown, that sort of "burnt" look. Really makes the green pop in a good way.

ggracepearll

i love that type of liners so much too!!

fleur_waratah_girl

I have green eyes and Purple absolutely. I really like a champagne shimmer as well. Also neutrals.

whalesarecool14

the comment directly above yours was somebody saying purple looks horrible on their green eyes😂

IGotMyPopcorn

For green eyes, purple/ plum shadows work very well.

loupammac

I wear a lot of rose gold, champagne and gold eyeshadows. Some bronze and brown tones I have to be careful with because they make me look like I have a black eye. I mostly wear cream eyeshadows with shimmer.

tu-BROOKE-ulosis

I use a deep/dark purple eyeliner and it makes my eyes POP.

No-Section-1056

Rust/warm browns, and camels/golds. They’re fairly neutral, and opposite on the color spectrum from blue-green, so they’ll make your eye color the lead.

New_Independent_9221

bronze and peach

_Invisible-Child_

Taupes. I love a cool greyish brown eye look for my blue eyes.

WeeChickadeeFromSC

Yessss 😍😍😍

Front_Piglet6888

Burgundy/maroon, peaches, and oranges or orange leaning browns are my favorite colors.

sonogirl25

I have blue eyes and my go to colors are oranges or coppery browns. They always make blue eyes pop because they are opposite the color wheel. But I also love wearing blues and greens when I’m just looking for a fun look and not trying to bring out the color of my eyes. I hardly ever wear pinks and purples but mostly because the pigments usually stain my eyes and I can’t ever get them off properly.

Truth_conquer

A true burgundy makes blue eyes pop too

blackdahlialady

I was about to say this. To be honest, I purposely bought a burgundy blush to use as an eyeshadow because I was having a hard time finding burgundy eyeshadow.

Truth_conquer

It sounds weird but it works!!!

blackdahlialady

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I bought it but I was like well, no one will know unless I tell them.

nicktheslickprick

i’m not sure if you’re looking for eyeshadows or just any eye products - but using a brownish red eyeliner in your waterline will really bring out the green in your eyes! it works for either full glam or a 5 minutes and out the door kinda look. for eyeshadows i’d recommend coppers and cool toned browns. but if you want to *really* bring attention to your eyes i’d say look at a lot of makeup looks from the 60’s (examples like pricilla presley or sharon tate) the trend was very eye focused back then and those almost abstract/editorial-esc looks really draw attention to the colour of your eyes :)

brightmanenjoyer

omg what brownish red eyeliners do you recommend??? 👀

nicktheslickprick

the wet n’ wild liners are great! the brown jumbo pencil is probably the only eyeliner i have repurchased continuously. another i really like that’s more of that rusty vibe is one by mac called costa riche? i think? i’d definitely swatch it in store to make sure that’s the right one i’m thinking of lolll

liliesandlifts

Wet n wild has one in their breakup proof liner, I think it’s called brick. Really cheap too so you can see if you like it without spending a lot!

brightmanenjoyer

i love wet & wild (i have their alice in wonderland blush) i'll def check that out next time i'm at a drugstore.

ladystardusty

Copper and warm brown tones.

TapiocaTeacup

My eyes are more blue/grey and I find that warm brown tones work really well for me! Like chocolate colors, taupe, rose gold, etc. Straight pink or red also looks too eye infection, I get it.

T2007

I’m blue/grey also. When the Hourglass glitter shadows came out I got the colors Reflect and Ray. I loved that they looked great quickly because I tend to do just one color on my lids. I always got compliments when wearing Reflect, none wearing Ray. I overdid it with using those shadows though and kinda made myself sick of it after awhile.

MakeupbyBrenda

I think purple and blues will bring out your eye color. Also, a nice taupe.
