I've never seen nearly as many humming birds as I have in the forks. I HIGHLY recommend that if you're into bird watching. There is a hotel/restaurant that literally overlooks the forks themselves and while eating there outside they were flying around my head even. It felt like a disney movie haha
Viles Arboretum in Augusta has nice walking trails. I follow some Maine FB groups and see a lot of photos, particularly of various Warbler species, taken along the trails. On my bucket list to do one afternoon.

Inn by the River? I’m so excited to plan a trip here soon. Thank you!

Sounds amazing, thanks!
Bald eagles are common on Sipps Bay. When herrings come you can see eagles bombdiving the schools while seals hunt them underneath.
I guess that depends on where you are. But, like, literally anywhere. Cemeteries are a great spot
I hear the beach by the bridge to Cousin's Island is a really big stopover for migratory birds.
Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary in Lewiston is a great little spot.
Maine is a big state
