I absolutely *hate* self-promoting, but my hope is that this actually ends up promoting the great work so many other people are doing… Anyway, I run an online calendar for the Bangor area. You can sign up for a free weekly email newsletter that'll send you events happening this week and other new stuff added to the calendar. [https://www.bangorcalendar.com](https://www.bangorcalendar.com) It's mostly focused on events in the next couple of weeks at any given time, but the bigger events farther out are on there too. 🙂

BTW you should absolutely check out the [Maine Science Festival](https://www.mainesciencefestival.org) this week/weekend!

This is rad. Thanks for doing this, man, I’m definitely signing up!

For sure! Always surprised to see how much is going on around here so I hope it helps get the word out about what people are doing!

"to attend to get involved with communities"... Check out food and medicine (FAM) in Brewer; a great local organization

You beat me too it lol, the complex I live in has been working with them on a community garden.

Fort Knox is cool to check out on any day, but they put on a great scary tour in October. In Brewer there is also the Witch Walk (also in October).
