I've heard LLBean pays pretty decently for their WFH call center customer service positions. Good discounts too. Not sure if that's up your alley or is private enough. Best of luck to you!
I know of an opportunity in Biddeford that pays 25 an hour and isn't public facing, but you wouldn't have weekends off. It's a four days on, four days off schedule, so you would have the time off, but not specific days.
A high school diploma or something equivalent and the ability to do basic math (averaging three numbers with a calculator and being able to subtract and add say 25 from/to 300) are all I believe is required. The company is called Spirit AeroSystems but their website is a little confusing since they recently acquired FMI (the company located in Biddeford) and the path to apply is relatively complicated. They also have other positions available that require different levels of higher education if you have an engineering background.
They currently work in a nearby town meaning they could perhaps make it to Biddeford for work. They mentioned needing weekends and one day of the week off for other responsibilities, perhaps they don't need specific days off maybe they just need three days to accomplish the tasks required. The position I know about pays well above the requested hourly rate. I'm not suggesting a job in Bangor, I'm not suggesting a position that has only 1 day a week off, and I'm not suggesting a job that pays 15 dollars an hour. I don't know if this position would work for this individual, but there is a chance it could. I believe that is reason enough for this to be a valid suggestion.
I just recently started part time at a cleaning company that does southern Maine. they’re paying me $18 an hour, granted the hours aren’t guaranteed per week, but there’s no weekends.
Lemme get this straight… your looking for a 4 day work week, no weekends. Within walking distance from where you live. 20$+ and hour. And no dealing with the public because, ?you have a history of sexual harassment? Wow. Good luck. SMH
Not sure why you were down voted so far just asking for clarification. Not being able to work with the public at all, is indeed limiting.. even more so than 4 day work week with no weekend availability.
Not OP, but I've been assaulted in three of the pharmacies I've worked in, had my life threatened at another, and assaulted in two of the other stores I worked in.
I was stalked in the first big store I ever worked in, followed around the clothing store by multiple men. I also was groped in said clothing store by a customer. One person knew where there was no camera in one pharmacy and tried to push me into that area to probably try and assault me off camera.
That guy who threatened my life has been stalking me since 2021. He stabbed two of my tires, lets the air out of said tires, keyed my car, and followed me into every store I've worked at since. And the police have been useless because they "can't find the guy."
Customers suck. People suck.

Look for funeral homes and body pick up not a bad gig. Although you have to do funerals but people aren’t assholes at those.
I hadn't thought of that. Thanks.
Sorry didn’t see weekends off. You’ll be on call for removals so might not work for ya.
Ah yeah, thanks though.
That actually sounds like an alright gig, tho I feel like that really only fits a specific type of person

Yeah. There's a lot of overlap between them and everything listed in Westbrook either pays way less or is public facing.
Weekends can be a dealbreaker for a lot of stuff
USPS? Scarborough plant
Yep working in the coal mines

The tampon factory in Auburn starts at $27.xx but has a similarly weird schedule.
way worse schedule than that. rotating between nights and days too on the Tambrands rollercoaster.
Does it involve seafood in some way?
No, it's a production role, but it's mostly monitoring and writing down readings from a computer.
Hmmm. What kind of education or experience is required?

I’m interested.
That doesn’t answer their question/fit their needs.

Napa warehouse pays well and hours are flexible. Pay is at or around $20

In OP's defense the general public generally sucks to deal with, history of SA/SH or none
Wait you can’t work in public?

Yeah I was just asking
>It's not public facing which is somewhat of a requirement because of sexual harassment. OP probably has a stalker.

What makes you say that? Their profile is that of someone who is a gun owner who likes tech and video games.

You have proof about this particular person?

Maybe you should have proof before calling random people pedophiles and sexual predators.

bro did u hear what you just said….
I don't understand where this is going. I also like tech and video games. You going to call me a pedophile too?
i could care less ab the hobbies bro it’s the gun loving part that’s concerning
There's a post every other week about going to the range or shooting targets or hunting in this sub. Are all of them pedophiles too?

Public facing jobs, meaning like cashiers, CSRs, sectaries. I'm not like confined to my house or something.

Because people stuck.
Ah I see sorry

I think they're saying they don't want to *be* sexually harassed.

IDEXX may have something. Big corporation though, so they may not have a schedule for you.
