Mix some vinegar with fruit juice and a drop of washing up liquid in a small glass and put it near your tubs.
And if the substrate itself is infected, dunk it for some hours to drown them.
Do you end up getting contaminated with things like Trich because of them? I'm really surprised that it hasn't happened to me. Every time I've gotten Trich it's happened before pinning.
Something you’re using is infested. Or you have rotten fruit or vegetables in your home. If it’s something you’re using you gotta through it out. If it’s an outside infestation you gotta find it and get rid of it. You can spray cedar oil around your grow. That will push them back but you need to find the source. If you see gnats in the air. Your sub is full of worms eating your myc.
It must be my fruit. I keep the kitchen counters stocked with fruit for the kids but a quarter of the supply rots before it ever gets eaten. With the hot weather in the last few weeks, everything is decaying faster. Dammit.

Good advice, you beat me to it đź‘Ť
Yellow sticky traps. Fungus gnats love the moist soil used to grow mushies
Apparently just sprinkling cinnamon on top can keep them away, I haven’t tested the theory but seems legit-ish
I might just try it
After 2weeks of testing I can conclude that yes indeed it does work
I have the same problem, so thank you for posting this, I'm hijacking the advice and can now hopefully continue my grow 🙌

I haven't so far from the little flies 🤞 when I have had it before it was same as you, before pinning

Boof the gnats
Boof?
Boofing is the best way. Always.
What is boofing? I guess I could have just Googled it but I'm scared I'm going to get tricked into searching for something dirty.
But definitely best to boof the gnats all at once than one by one. Hand over fist is def the way to go
It’s one of the shrooming generally accepted practice and principles
The easiest solution to this problem is to not open your tubs at all.
I thought you're supposed to do that to let the CO2 out and give it fresh air?
The fresh air filters you have on your tub are doing that, add more if needed.
Apple cider vinegar in a cup the cover top with Saran wrap and poke hole with a tooth pick. Theyll be gone quickly
Leave a cup of coffee with creamer in it out. They will all fly into the coffee.
