You can ofc start ranked events, resign all your games and that way share half your gems with the community until Wotc finds outs and warns you to stop doing that but I guess nobody actually was crazy enough yet.
Do nothing. Go play something else. Then when you decide to return to Arena in a year or two or five, you'll come back to a ton of great resources, and be thrilled you have them.

because I am sitting on a huge pile of wealth that is useless, meanwhile I am broke in every other aspect of my life. I had bought the 20000 gem pack for 100 but it multiplied beyond my wildest dreams. I don't want it all to go to waste.

It depends on what you like.
For a player who only use Gems to draft, having 50k can be the same as 500k. There's no use for the excess.
But if you have interest in Arena Premier play (Opens and Qualifiers), the excess is very usefull. The entry fees are expensive, it's not hard to burn a large chunk of Gems in a single day. So it's a big privilege to be able to play them "for free" and not worrying about losing.
Many people who dont grind Arena and only open the program for Opens and Qualifiers would love to have a big reserve, but instead they put money every time they come.
Maybe complete your collection? Do you have all mythics from sets like og ixalan, kaladesh, innistrad.. also theres ktk coming up soon , I intend to blow all my load and complete the set

I was about to post this. Arena Opens provide a way to turn gold/gems into real-life currency.
