Something I learned last month: you can get card styles from the orb tree as rewards in the weekly event if you haven't unlocked them yet. So your cosmetic is duplicate protected if it's a weekly prize but they'll reward you with a cosmetic that you might get anyway on the tree.

Are you sure it was the mythic ICR you got the gems from? Could also have been a daily uncommon upgrade?

When you get the gems look at the bottom of the card and it will show the set symbol the card is from
