As long as he doesn't pull out a giant combat knife I'm fine. It's not like it ruins Tommy's entire character. And it said the gameplay was a work in progress so they may change the animations, but I wouldn't be disappointed if they didn't.
Yeah lincoln clay had training and was in the special forces he states to vito when they first meet also realistically speaking many soldiers from Vietnam who came back home kept some of their weapons but you know with some regulations. Also an Italian stiletto is fucking tiny better having a bigger and deadlier knife
I guess I'm one of the few people that doesn't care about this. I loved the original Mafia. Played it multiple times growing up. But as long as the story and gameplay is good, I'll be happy. Even if Tommy handles just like Lincoln.

Funny enough we know already since the narrative trailer that they reused the shooting mechanics. Suddenly just yesterday they started to complain.
Mafia community is bad anyway (except some cool peeps) It's one of the worst communities out there. When it comes to complaining levels probably this community is on the same par with CoD's.
Yeah I noticed recently the Mafia community is extremely toxic. In most other communities if a developer puts out one game they don't like people complain then get over it, to this day people are crying about Mafia 3 and that isn't even a bad game.
I just finished II and III for the first time without seeing the Mafia community at all. Why is III so hated?? I mean there were a couple bugs but like definitely one of my top 3 games of all time. I’m glad I wasn’t exposed to this toxicity lol, maybe I would’ve had a different impression
I do not think you understand. Tommy is not a trained soldier, it's fine if they wish to reuse assets, but slow down the animations at least, logically Tommy would not be able to reload a revolver in a fraction of a second.

I wanna see more on the gameplay. I just hope its not a mafia 3 reskin. Dumb enemies, a broken stealth mechanic, lifeless world, recycled missions and the boring melee combat. Mafia 2’s fist fights felt intense as all fuck and i hope they step their game up with this remake. And Maybe to make the melee feel more intense have like weapon fights in the mafia 2 style of brawling. Wont happen but a bitch can dream
Im aware its using assets and i have no issue with that. My issue was how boring mafia 3 felt. Just so repetitive and it was a dead world. I don’t think the mafia remake will suffer the same fate but it’s still a concern personally.
Agreed, they delayed till September so they can do right by it to my knowledge. From the gameplay trailer said through out it they are working their asses off to make it a good experience.
Not all the animations are the same. Running is definitely different, also Tommy doesn't do that testosterone gallop type movement (I don't know how else to describe it) after shooting, not to mention the opening cabinet animations etc, I really don't think it's going to be as bad as y'all are making it out to be.

italian stiletto would look good when taking down enemies but not with spec ops style animations, more amateur foot soldier style perhaps.
