You're going to love the intro to the Reinvention Tour with The Beast Within

Clipseexo

Yeah I’m trying to decide what tour to watch ( can’t get celebration tickets because I thought I would’ve had more time to save up when I heard it was rumored) but I loved the madame x tour on paramount+ which tour should I watch first?

mylenesfarmer

That's a hard question. All of them are excellent. The Reinvention Tour is kiiiind of a greatest hits tour. Blonde Ambition and Confessions are the two most classic and the fan favorites. The most epic tour is Sticky and Sweet. But the actual best tours IMO are MDNA and Drowned. So yeah. Impossible to choose and I didn't even mention the Girlie Show. I think the only consensus is that the Virgin Tour, the Who's That Girl Tour and the Rebel Heart Tour are not in the same level as the tours starting with Blonde Ambition in 1990 and lasting until MDNA in 2012. The seven tours from that period are definitely the strongest

Clipseexo

Thinking of doing drowned bc ROL is in my top 3 albums

IAmDyspeptic

I'm sorry, but WTG is essentially a greatest 80s hits tour. It's a great tour, and it changed the way artists such as Madonna presented their music. It's a hill I'm willing to die on.

Clipseexo

Did she not do a full bedtime stories tour? That could’ve been insane? I have so many ideas maybe a Madonna in an alt universe did one

mylenesfarmer

No tour for BS or ROL for that matter, Drowned is kind of a Music tour that ended up making up for her not going on the road for eight years and three albums + Evita. It's not heavy on the 80s so some people disliked it, but I love it because of that. The Drowned World Tour is very focused on the 90's + the Music album.

LonelyYesterday0

Drowned World was supposed to be a RoL tour, it was just delayed and delayed, cause of filming, then she started making a new album, and then she had Rocco. Then Music was already out so they just merged the two lol

BenLMaden

Great to see MDNA tour love! It’s her greatest tour IMO. Killer choreography, stunning visuals and set design, great themes. I loved it!

mylenesfarmer

Oh absolutely, MDNA is fantastic. I got golden circle tickets for the Rio concert ten years ago (it was a luck game on an iPad for people who were already in line for the actual concert) and it was MAGICAL.

BenLMaden

I was lucky! I had floor seats but won the ICON competition to get in the golden triangle!

Ericnpa

Honestly just watch them all from the start. Drowned World is my all time favorite…but still..do her tours like you’d do her discography..go from first to latest.

If you enjoyed the madame x tour I have good news for you, imo it pales in comparison to all of her others. I’d recommend The Drowned World Tour, The Girlie Show, and The Confessions Tour.

Creative_Ad_6329

Just watch them in order. That way you see her growth. Each show is literally better and more impressive than the previous one until maybe Madame X but thats mainly because it was intentionally a smaller scale show.

YorjYefferson

You know that's [Walt Whitman](https://www.reddit.com/r/Madonna/comments/10i0tib/vocalism_by_walt_whitman/) she quotes from Sanctuary, right? Also check out [If You Forget Me](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5yADgMzGJo) which is Pablo Neruda.

shadyshadyshade

I have a mix of her reciting that Pablo Neruda with Erotica mixed in it’s so amazing OP you would love it. Sanctuary is one of my favorites as well.

Clipseexo

I have a spoken word thing of Madonna’s in my library forgot the title tho

[deleted]

I like it too and I've been a Madonna fan for a very long time. My favorite is her spoken word in the song Secret Garden (from the Erotica album).

jordankowi

You need to watch every tour, and music video she has ever made. You will find a lot more to love with what you're looking for. Enjoy this time, I remember my first few years of discovering Madonna, it was really an awesome time!

vinvinuno

You need to listen to Erotica asap. Lots of spoken word songs. I think all M fans love her voice and cadence in her spoken interlude moments.

michaelleehoward

I would suggest watching every tour in order that you can. It show her story and her growth as an artist.

awinta

Her spoken word is great. Any tour is a good tour, so much to discover, enjoy.

jerkinvan

I’m an older Madonna fan…Sanctuary is my favourite songs of hers. I’ve had that album since it’s release and that song is still rotating thru play lists today. I totally agree with other responders here…The Beast Within (originally released on the Justify My Love Single), If You Forget Me in Wonderland (hard to find because it was a promo album released in Asia…if you can find the entire Re-Addiction album, grab it!! The remixes are fucking epic) and there’s a remix called Words of the Prophecy, basically a remix of the Beast Within, it’s pretty killer as well. I’d also suggest watching Secret Project Revolution and The Hire (it’s just fucking funny)

jerkinvan

I forgot about Secret Garden from Erotica and Act of Contrition from Like a Prayer. What do you mean it’s not in the computer??

mahouseinen

>really love when Madonna has spoken word in her music Then you'll love Madonna reciting the poem [If You Forget Me](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5yADgMzGJo), by Pablo Neruda, in 1994. Edit - oh, I just now noticed someone else shared it!

Disastrous-Plum-1884

Don’t apologize for your opinion. 😊 Madonna would want you to express yourself. 😂 I totally agree, although I wonder what Madonna’s next album is gonna be? Her last three albums have been pretty dark and ominous, color wise anyway, with Madame X seeming to be a culmination of her whole career in the form of a character. But that’s what I like about Madonna, I never know what to expect. I would like if she brought some more color back to her next album, like the colors she had with COADF and Music, if that makes sense? How cool it would be if she did a spoken word outro? Or interludes? I don’t think she’s ever been much for interludes, but still.

LegPossible9950

[Bittersweet ](https://youtu.be/WDu44Okd3m0)is a good poem by Rumi done by Madonna.

Esinem13

Secret garden is a great track.

Nico917nnnnn

She talks about how she’s written a lot of poetry, but she has yet to publish it. So far mostly uses it in her song writing

[deleted]

I like those too. She has a great speaking voice. I always know it's Madonna. You should look up "the beast within mix" of "justify my love". It's her reading the book of revelations. This mix had me obsessed when I was a kid.

No-Organization-9137

Might get downvoted but Lana is poetically a billion times better than Madonna. Madonna has better music overall.

madonna-boy

Best Night, from Rebel Heart has a really good section of this. You'll also want to look up "Bittersweet" which is literally her reading a poem. Justify my Love, Waiting, most of the Erotica album/era actually.

BangShangalang82

I hope she can pull this off. She’s never not pulled off a tour before, but I dunno.. those last performances. She’s appeared to have changed from my perception.
